It is possible an administrator has deactivated or deleted your account for some reason. Also, many boards periodically remove users who have not posted for a long time to reduce the size of the database.

All your posts will be compiled chronologically and bound into a large book that will be presented to the First Presidency.

How do you deactivate or delete an account? I seriously was looking for a way to do that a few months back.

Re: What does "deactivating" an LDSFF account do?
I have a combative and singular focused personality. Couple that with the fact that almost all discussion on here end in nowhere so a lot of the time it feels pretty pointless to me.
Maybe 6 months ago, I really don't remember, I sent creator a message asking him to delete my account. I guess he didn't.
Shawn then reached out to me and I came back.
I like what this is a lot. However, it is terribly frustrating as well.

Re: What does "deactivating" an LDSFF account do?
Some users have decided they no longer want to participate on the forum and asked me to deactivate their account. Some have later asked me to reactivate.
Also if a user is banned I will typically deactivate the account.
This prevents a user from being able to login again.

Re: What does "deactivating" an LDSFF account do?
Over the next few weeks, what if we all make an effort to reach out to "the one" who's been deactivated and see if we can get them to want to reactivate?!creator wrote: ↑August 14th, 2024, 9:52 pm Some users have decided they no longer want to participate in the forum and asked me to deactivate their account. Also if a user is banned I will typically also deactivate the account.

Then we can send notes documenting our efforts to rmn to fulfill his true bday wishes
I know - this comment belongs on the "derail this thread " thread

We'll need to hold exclusionary meetings where we can candidly discuss "the one".
And if "the one" doesn't respond, we'll have to escalate to a court of love.

Re: What does "deactivating" an LDSFF account do?
Don’t be so sure that discussions lead nowhere and feel pointless. I for one see it as a great space to freely express myself, often with the intention to work things out in my own mind. It also gives us opportunity to work charitably with others opinions, its like a practice arena for it, a lot of times we are bad at it, but that’s half the fun,

Re: What does "deactivating" an LDSFF account do?
When I was A Random Phrase and couldn't break the LDSFF habit, I asked the creator of the forum to delete my account but keep all of my posts for continuity's sake. He did. (Then someone on here, who did not have my email address, asked about me, so I came back with this iteration, and now I'm stuck again. )Reluctant Watchman wrote: ↑August 14th, 2024, 6:40 pm I was checking out the help section and noticed that an LDSFF account can be deactivated or deleted, what does deactivating an account do?

I think if an account is deleted, you can't go to the user page, but if it's only deactivated, maybe you can? (I haven't read any of the replies to you, so maybe your question has been already answered much better than I could answer it.)

You have to private message "creator" and ask him to do it for you.
