Trump Insists Republicans "Have The Votes" On Healthcare

Post by Joel »

On Wednesday while meeting with reporters at the White House, President Donald Trump repeatedly insisted that Republicans "have the votes for healthcare," despite the fact that Mitch McConnell had withdrawn voting on Graham-Cassidy due in fact to a lack of votes. Trump seemed to be improvising when he stated "We have one senator that's in the hospital," a statement which was easily proven false. It was one of several times that Trump made the false assertion, later going on twitter to report "we have the HCare Vote."

Trump Appointee for DOJ Bureau of Justice Assistance Has Ties to Scientology

Post by Joel »

Trump’s pick to head up the DOJ’s Bureau of Justice Assistance is Jon Adler who previously was president of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association. Adler also sat on the advisory board for a controversial detoxification program based on pseudoscience invented by L. Ron Hubbard and pushed by the Scientology cult under various names over the years. This current incarnation of the detox program once known as Narcanon is called Heroes Health Fund (HHF). The group purports to offer support for “firefighters, police, EMTs, veterans, and others harmed by toxic exposures in the line of duty.” That program has existed under a variety of names over the years, including Purif, the Purification Rundown, Narconon, and the Hubbard Method. It posits that bodies and spirits can be “purified” through a combination of extensive sauna-induced sweat sessions, a niacin-heavy multivitamin, light exercise, and the consumption of pure vegetable oil. Hubbard, of course, had no medical training of any kind, and his detoxification method has been denounced by countless institutions and medical professionals.

Thomas Gunderson describes meeting President Trump after surviving the massacre in Las Vegas. "He cared. He wanted to listen to me and shake my hand and thank me and was just so awesome. And Melania was so sweet. To me, it felt like they genuinely cared about the people here and what happened.”

Trump's NBC tweet is an even more empty threat than usual

Post by Joel »

Donald Trump Tweeted Wednesday morning upset about the NBC story which reported that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, may have been prompted to call Trump a "moron" in a private meeting in July because Trump had told his top officials he wanted a tenfold increase in the US nuclear arsenal. Trumps tweet is a question to challenge the license of the network saying it's "bad for country". This however, is an empty threat as Trump does not have the power to shut down a network due to the policies of the FCC as well as the constraints of the first amendment.
Despite what Donald Trump implied in a Tweet Wednesday about NBC, FCC officials and experts say pulling the network's license as punishment for 'fake news' is highly unlikely to happen. In his tweet Trump wrote, "With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!” FCC officials, who have pointed out the threat is empty, says that the commission doesn’t give broadcasting licenses to networks like Comcast-owned NBC. While a process exists for challenging a station's license renewal after an eight-year term, successful challenges are very rare.

Legal Group Files FOIA Requests on Whether Trump Is a Moron

Post by Joel »

Legal Group Files FOIA Requests on Whether Trump Is a Moron

On Thursday, a legal group filed three separate Freedom of Information Act requests to learn if President Donald Trump is a “moron” and must be removed under the 25th Amendment. Seriously, that’s how they titled their statement, obtained by Law Newz: “Legal Advocacy Group Files Urgent Freedom Of Information Act Request Of Government Information On Whether President Trump Is A ‘Moron.'”

Free Speech for People said:
Under Trump’s command, Cabinet members and even high-ranking Republicans have reportedly questioned whether Trump has the mental capacity to serve as President. Americans have a right to know whether the President is mentally fit for office, and the Cabinet and Congress have a responsibility to protect the country if he is not.
Free Speech for People, a nonprofit that describes itself as nonpartisan, was started in opposition to the controversial ruling in Citizens United, and has previously opposed Trump’s pardon of former Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

On Thursday, the group asked for documents and the like regarding whether the president’s mental capacity was ever questioned by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Elaine Duke, and former Security of Homeland Security John E. Kelly. Accordingly, FOIA requests were filed separately with State, Defense, and DHS. Law Newz reached out to all three agencies for a response.

The “moron” reference is in regard to a NBC report, in which three anonymous officials claimed Tillerson called the president a “moron” after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon. It’s unclear what specifically sparked the comment, though NBC later reported that according to three anonymous officials, Trump said in the meeting that he wanted to increase the United State nuclear arsenal by ten times.

Top officials have done their best to put on a friendly face, and dismiss reports. Mattis called the news about the nuclear arsenal “absolutely false.” Kelly himself, now Chief of Staff, has said he has no plans on leaving. Tillerson has denied reports that he wanted to resign, though he did not deny calling the president a moron.

Trump is idiosyncratic. That much is clear. It’s an oft-cited reason why his supporters voted for him. But a recurring criticism of his administration is whether his personal behavior could be a sign of some sort of mental deterioration, and whether cabinet members would need to remove him under the 25th Amendment. This has never happened to a president. Law Newz columnist Robert Barnes argued in February that incapacity under the law is a very narrow concept. For example, one must be in a coma, or otherwise incapable of providing for their own basic need.

“To be incompetent or incapacitated, as any lawyer knows, compels a very high standard of proof of completely inability to function,” he wrote.

"Left-wing corporate foundations like W.K. Kellogg and Ford are sending millions of dollars to organizations such as the Center for Community Change (CCC) with the express purpose of targeting Donald Trump and his Presidency.
George Soros – the Godfather of the Left-wing movement to overthrow President Trump – is also pouring millions of dollars from his Open Society Foundation into groups like CCC. In fact, the Executive Director of CCC is also on Soros' Advisory Board of Directors!
The tentacles of the Left are vast, very well-funded and increasingly more dangerous.
Groups such as CCC are funding direct attacks on the Trump Administration with one goal in mind: To delegitimize his authority as President.
We've reported on the connections and networks of the Left for three decades now. But never before has the threat loomed so large.
Never before have they worked to overthrow a sitting and freely elected President of the United States.
And never before have they launched a "shadow government" to infiltrate the highest levels of our government to stop the Administration from getting anything done.
This threat is dire and we must inform our fellow citizens.
As you may know, the Center's website, DiscoverTheNetworks.org (DTN), is the go-to source to find information on the vast Left-wing network, its funders, its key players and its goals.
A few years ago, I wrote a book, The New Leviathan, which outlines where the funding from these Left-wing Foundations goes. This book spells out in great detail the vast network of Left-wing funding from Ford and Rockefeller to Casey, Pew and more.
My friend, the threat from the Left, from the likes of George Soros, the Center for Community Change and these Left-wing Foundations is very real.
And the future of the Trump Administration and the survival of our great Republic are at stake.
The Freedom Center has been acting as the Paul Revere for the conservative movement for three decades in our warnings of the dangers of the Left.

Sincerely,

David Horowitz

"The Department of Health and Human Services has made a bold move by adding three words to a draft of its new strategic plan by declaring that human life begins at conception.
“HHS accomplishes its mission through programs and initiatives that cover a wide spectrum of activities, serving and protecting Americans at every stage of life, beginning at conception,” the document states.
The recognition of life beginning at conception is a radical departure from the Obama administration’s version of the document, which stated: “HHS accomplishes its mission through programs and initiatives that cover a wide spectrum of activities, serving Americans at every stage of life.”
Twice the new draft refers to the unborn. Once in “Strategic Goal 1,” which aims to reform, strengthen and modernize the nation’s health care with the department’s “ultimate goal” being “to improve healthcare outcomes for all people, including the unborn, across healthcare settings.”
The draft mentions the unborn again when discussing strategies to support the healthy development and well-being of children and youth, by working to “protect women and their unborn children from harm and harmful exposures during pregnancy.”
The language in the document leaves little doubt about where the Trump administration stands on the pro-life issue.
The plan set strategic goals for 2018 through 2022.
With language like this, the Trump administration is making its pro-life stance be known, and you can bet that liberals will have a meltdown over it.
Democrats will claim that his move is yet another assault on women’s health care, but it actually sends a strong message about the well-being and life of women and the unborn, who do not have a voice.
The language in the draft could influence future policy making about controversial pro-life issues."

"On Monday, when meeting Japanese Emperor Akihito, Trump stood tall like a real leader, nodded his head and shook the emperor’s hand.
If you’ll recall, when former President Barack Obama greeted the emperor in November of 2009, he bowed fully in what was perceived as a sign of weakness and submission.
Obama also generated a wave of criticism when he appeared to bow to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia upon meeting him in April of the same year, according to news reports.
An American president’s conduct, especially when overseas, is a serious matter because he represents the Constitution as well as the American people.
The former president might not have known how to represent a free country around foreign dignitaries, but Trump obviously does.
An administration official traveling with Trump on his Far East tour told the U.K. Daily Mail that bowing was “not his style — never has been.”
Trump kicked off his two-week tour of Asia in Japan, where he reportedly met with senior leadership to discuss issues ranging from trade to North Korea.
The president and first lady will also visit South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.
In a statement, the White House said that during this trip, Trump aimed to “underscore his commitment to longstanding United States alliances and partnerships, and reaffirm United States leadership in promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region.”

"President Donald Trump joined the troops for lunch Tuesday, sharing “Taco Tuesday” with over 100 U.S. and South Korean soldiers at Camp Humphreys, located 60 miles south of the border with North Korea.

He also brought company. South Korean President Moon Jae-In joined Trump for lunch on a day when the U.S. president spoke out about dealing with North Korea."
