"For months, Russia and the United States have been butting heads in Syria, as Russian troops have aligned themselves with the monstrous regime of Bashar al-Assad in the fight against ISIS. Assad, who has turned the Syrian presidency from a respected position to a dictatorial nightmare, has welcomed the Russian assistance in this fight, perhaps too well, after it became clear that Putin’s army may have been complicit in the dastardly chemical weapons attacks that prompted a swift response from the United States.
Now, as Russia continues to feel threatened by American leftist agitators who are perpetuating an unverifiable conspiracy theory regarding the election of Donald Trump, the Kremlin has issued a stern warning to U.S. troops in that area: We will shoot your planes down.
“Russia has said it will treat US warplanes operating in parts of Syria where its air forces are also present as ‘targets’ amid a diplomatic row caused by the downing of a Syrian jet.
“The country’s defence ministry said it would track US-led coalition aircraft with missile systems and military aircraft, but stopped short of saying it would shoot them down.
“A hotline set up between Russia and the US to prevent mid-air collisions will also be suspended.
"All kinds of airborne vehicles, including aircraft and UAVs of the international coalition detected to the west of the Euphrates River will be tracked by the Russian SAM systems as air targets,’ the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.”
Troubles in Syria have been ongoing for some time, with Russian forces and U.S. troops participating in a shaky and fragile coexistence in the war-torn country.
Now, as the American political left continues their asinine witch hunt surrounding the Russian “influence” on the 2016 presidential election, Vladimir Putin and other high ranking Russian officials have been displaying their ruffled feathers far more often than before.
At a recent speaking engagement, Russian President Putin was interviewed by Megyn Kelly, the U.S. journalist known for her “gotcha” questioning and ability to make every interview she conducts more about her than her subject. Kelly attempted to spring a fairly lame trap for Putin regarding the accusations being made by democrats in America, visibly irking the international leader. Putin was quick to point out to Megyn that the United States’ media complex has long been biased, and, perhaps, a bit corrupt. His quick work in handling Kelly elicited jovial laughs from the audience as Kelly was forced into a more demure position on stage.
This continues pressure on the Russian government to “come clean” regarding their involvement in the 2016 election is absurd, and likely infuriating to Putin, who has asked several times for evidence backing up these dangerous, leftist claims. To this day, any and all “evidence” of such interference has been anecdotal at best, leaving the American political left no choice but to continue their campaign of propaganda against Putin, which, in turn, has lead to the dangerous situation that our military pilots now find themselves in over Syria."

"Australia's RAAF have ceased all air operations over Syria amid heightened tensions following the shooting down of a Syrian jet by the US.

A Defence spokesperson today said that "potential threats" had led to the ADF's decision to temporarily ground all flights.

The moves follows Russia's grave warning that it would track US-led coalition aircraft in central Syria as "targets".

Moscow also advised today that it was halting an incident-prevention hotline with Washington after US forces downed a Syrian jet.

The Kremlin has only once before suspended the hotline, which was established in October 2015 to prevent conflict between the different forces operating in Syrian airspace.

The shootdown incident and Russia's response further complicate Syria's six-year war and come as the US-led coalition and allied fighters battle to oust the Islamic State group from its Syrian bastion Raqa.

Analysts say neither Washington nor President Bashar al-Assad's regime appear to be seeking further confrontation, but warn that the risks are high in Syria's increasingly crowded battlefields.

Russia's foreign ministry accused Washington of failing to use the hotline before downing the plane near Raqa, and called for a "careful investigation by the US command" into the incident."

" EBSCO Information Services, was in the news last winter when WND reported a case in a Colorado school district.

There, parents found EBSCO provided a portal to pornography, and the company soon was placed on the “2017 Dirty Dozen List” by the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, NCOSE.

The resource gave students access to sites that “normalize sexual violence, such as a link to a story depicting the rape of a woman using the barrel of a gun, as well as sites that normalize risky sexual behaviors such as public, anal and group sex,” NCOSE said.

Dawn Hawkins, NCOSE’s executive director, said at the time that EBSCO admitted the problem and was trying to address it. But in the meantime, she said, the company would remain on her organization’s “Dirty Dozen” list until “improvements have been implemented system-wide and verified.”

This week, the NCOSE renewed its alert because while EBSCO “has worked with NCOSE to clean up their systems, the National Center on Sexual Exploitation uncovered ongoing systemic problems this week that should concern all parents.”

The problem is the company’s online library database subscription for K-12 schools, NCOSE said.

“Children have been exposed to pornographic and sexually graphic content in public and private schools providing EBSCO services,” said Hawkins. “This company markets itself as providing curriculum-appropriate educational resources, and so it is trusted by parents and teachers, but we’ve found its databases contain graphic results for elementary, middle, and high school users regarding pornography, as well as group, anal, public and BDSM sex.”

The problems have been the focus of communications between EBSCO and NCOSE for several months.

The company did implement “positives changes like removing certain publications and fixing some publisher settings.”

However, NCOSE said “the problems are so widespread within the company’s systems that much more work is needed until the parents of America will be satisfied that their children can be free of sexually explicit material on schools-based educational databases.”

“Just this week, researchers from the National Center found 50 sexually graphic articles in 50 minutes and many of them from databases intended for middle and elementary school children,” Hawkins said. “What parent can be satisfied with that?”

“Parents and schools need to know that EBSCO systems are free from sexually exploitive materials or they will discontinue using EBSCO products,” the organization reported.

The Colorado complaint was brought by parents at the suburban Cherry Creek School District near Denver.

WND reported in January that parents of a middle-school student there charged that the district’s sex-ed program allows students to access pornographic content and images from an educational company’s website while blocking parents from examining the objectionable material.

The parents enlisted the help of an activist group in Massachusetts to address their concerns.

The district called the claim nonsense, citing the opinion of the controversial Southern Poverty Law Center, which slammed the activist organization, MassResistance, as an “anti-gay hate group.” It’s the same SPLC that called Dr. Ben Carson a “hater” for his views on traditional marriage. SPLC also was linked to domestic terror several years ago when a man convicted of attempted mass murder confessed he used the organization’s list of “anti-gay hate groups” to pick a target, the Family Research Council, based on SPLC’s “hate” label.

The sex-ed dispute arose when the parents, whose names WND is withholding so their child in the district’s Fox Ridge Middle School is not identified, stumbled upon the pornographic material when they were checking their child’s password access.

Many of the discussion materials and images are not suitable for reproduction by WND, but MassResistance, a pro-family group that has been particularly active in school issues for many years, posted some of it on its website.

The information available to students includes “How to have oral sex,” “How to have anal sex” and “How to have vaginal sex.”

MassResistance said in a report: “We’ve often reported on the dramatic influx of ‘comprehensive sex-ed’ into schools across the country in recent years despite vocal outrage by parents. The graphic sexual content and LGBT tips that schools are pushing at students has been very disturbing for some time now, and is getting much worse.”

The group said children attending middle schools in the Cherry Creek School District “are now being given access to extremely graphic sexual and homosexual pornography, material encouraging them to become sexually and homosexually active, descriptions of ‘sex toys,’ and much more.”

MassResistance founder Brian Camenker confirmed he was independently able to reproduce the results uncovered by the Cherry Creek parents.

He said that when the parents “presented samples of the pornography and other explicit sexual material found on the students’ portal to school officials and board members … the officials did not deny that that it is being made available to the middle school students.”

“They simply do not see a problem with it.”

And school officials charged that the parents were “breaking school policy” by using their child’s password instead of one designated for parents.

Among the materials that were accessed was a “gay” book described as “Alexander’s big night out at a gay bar leads to hot, but complicated encounter.”

An excerpt from a “short story” also was accessed: “The man f—– like the broken light, ramming his personality through a defective wire. The boy moved with him, the outer world going dim as huge pictures bloomed inside his head. He moved back and forth as he condensed these pictures into a fine point of feeling, sweet as the highest, purest song.”

Camenker’s report said the material include subjects such as “Ideas for erotic sex,” “Explicit sexuality information,” “Homosexual and transgender sex information,” “Graphic homosexual short stories” and “BDSM – bondage and sexual sadomasochism.”

One accessed article was called “Orgasms for All.” A lesson instructs, “So lock the door, grab a hand mirror, and let’s inspect your ittiest bits.”

An interactive page instructs: “Arrange the steps required to apply a condom by clicking and dragging each condom in its right position.”

A graphic says: “you could … suck, kiss, touch, bite, fondle, nibble, squeeze, and lick someone’s … kiss for a long time, using lots of tongue … have sex in front of mirrors … get into role play (for instance, tie someone up) … look at sexy pictures and videos … talk dirty … strip down … shower together.”

Yet another instruction talks about exhibitionism: “We’re talking all types. Flashing, sex in a public place, sex in a private place with open drapes, wearing a skirt but no underwear. (Um, meaning her. Generally.) ‘The thrill of being viewed has a lot to do with getting attention,’ says Queen. ‘For women, it’s a sort of centering experience that makes them realize they have attractiveness and erotic energy, even if they don’t look like Lindsey Lohan.”

‘Committed to the best education’

Previously, district spokesman Tustin Amole told WND the district instructs students not to follow inappropriate links, because it would be “a violation of the Network Resource Acceptable User Waiver.”

Asked whether objectionable material is available to students, Amole referred to a district statement: “The following is our statement regarding the information posted on the Mass Resistance website, which has been identified as an anti-gay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

“The Cherry Creek School District is committed to providing the best possible educational opportunities to all students using the best resources available. No sexually explicit or inappropriate content exists on any Cherry Creek School District website. Our filters block all attempts to access such content by students and staff while using the district network. For students to have access to the district’s network and resources, parents must read and agree to our Internet and Network Resource Acceptable User Waiver.”

"In what is being described as an “unprovoked” attack, a police officer and mother of three was slain yesterday in New York City.
The unfathomable attack occurred on Monday, just before the 4th of July holiday, and has left the city speechless as they attempt to discover the meaning behind the murder. With the suspect now deceased, authorities have been left to probe the attacker’s social media history where they found a number of politically charged statements.
“Authorities are trying to piece together a motive after NYPD officer and mother of three Miosotis Familia was brutally gunned down in cold blood by Alexander Bonds early Monday morning while she sat in a temporary headquarters vehicle at East 183rd Street and Morris Avenue in Fordham Heights.
“’This is absolutely an unprovoked attack,’ said NYPD Commissioner James P. O’Neill. Police say surveillance footage shows Bonds pulling up his hoodie before ‘purposefully’ walking up to the vehicle and shooting through the passenger side.
“Bonds’ Facebook page reveals that days before the presidential election, he posted a video of a woman alleging that voting machines were switching Hillary Clinton votes to Donald Trump.
“’Watch out also go vote our voices matter believe that if I could I kno u would,’ he wrote.
“On the same day he urged people to ‘get mad’ about the election and vote. When asked who he was voting for, Bonds responded that he couldn’t vote (due to his felony conviction), but said people should vote for Hillary Clinton.”
Evidence of the radicalization of the American political left is growing, and Bonds’ crime is just the latest piece of the puzzle.
The election of Donald Trump has set off a chain reaction of liberally motivated violent crime in recent months, as the leftists of our nation continue a downward spiral into hysteria. Fueled by violent imagery and the normalization of the President’s assassination by celebrities, those who consider themselves politically active in the liberal camp have increasingly turned toward violence and the use of force in order to spread their anti-conservative message. Bonds, like James T. Hodgkinson before him, are simply members of the liberal legion of New Civil War advocates who are hoping that their bloodshed will spark a larger battle between Americans, split merely by political allegiances.
Given the extreme nature of these recent developments, it is both surprising and disturbing to see so few left-leaning figures and media outlets denouncing the violence. Instead, we are bearing witness to a vast ignorance of these crimes’ political nature, as the liberals secretly yearn for their violent uprising to take hold."

A Life at Conception Act declares unborn children "persons" as defined by the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, entitled to legal protection.
This is the one thing the Supreme Court admitted in Roe v. Wade that would cause the case for legal abortion to "collapse."
When the Supreme Court handed down its now-infamous Roe v. Wade decision, it did so based on a new, previously undefined "right of privacy" which it "discovered" in so-called "emanations" of "penumbrae" of the Constitution.
Of course, as constitutional law, it was a disaster.
But never once did the Supreme Court declare abortion itself to be a constitutional right.

Instead, the Supreme Court said:
"We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins... the judiciary at this point in the development of man's knowledge is not in a position to speculate as to the answer."
Then the High Court made a key admission:
"If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant's case [i.e., "Roe" who sought an abortion], of course, collapses, for the fetus' right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment."

The fact is, the 14th Amendment couldn't be clearer:

"... nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law, nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law."

Furthermore, the 14th Amendment says:
"Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."
That's exactly what a Life at Conception Act would do.
But this simple, logical and obviously right legislation will not become law without a fight.
And that's where your help is critical.
You see, it will be a tough fight, but I believe with your signed petition it is one we can win.
By turning up the heat through a massive, national, grassroots campaign in this session of Congress, one of two things will happen.

"Perhaps, the most overused word in America is “hate.” All you have to do is accuse someone who disagrees with you of hate, and that’s it: guilty as charged. Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean even famously said recently that “hate speech” is not protected by the First Amendment.

This is like the modern equivalent of the horrible anti-witch hysteria in Salem in 1692-1693. If you were accused of being a witch, then you were virtually guilty. Twenty were accused and executed for supposedly being a witch. Thankfully, when Rev. Increase Mather returned to Massachusetts from England, he put a stop to the evil witch-hunt by ordering that the biblical standard be applied. No one could be convicted except by two or three witnesses – no more convictions by the testimony of only one witness. The killings stopped, and the jails were emptied of those falsely accused.

Today, the charge of “hater” is bandied recklessly. Because Christians may disagree with someone on some issue, the Christian is branded a hater, with no evidence or witnesses needed.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) of Montgomery, Alabama, has a lot to do with the overuse of the word “hate” in our time. Initially, during the ending days of the civil rights movement, the SPLC did some worthy work, working against the hate of racism.

But recently, the SPLC has begun to denounce pro-family groups that stand for traditional marriage – God’s rules for marriage – as haters. Furthermore, the SPLC has denounced those prophets among us sounding the alarm on radical Islam as “haters.”

"Multiple sources have confirmed to KSTP Monday morning that the identity of the Minneapolis police officer who shot and killed a woman Saturday in southwest Minneapolis is Mohamed Noor.
Noor joined the department in March 2015 and is currently assigned to the 5th Precinct in the southwest part of the city.
A source with direct knowledge of the shooting said Monday that the woman was shot multiple times. The source said that Noor was sitting in the passenger seat at the time of the shooting.
Noor is the first Somali-American police officer in the 5th Precinct. He has a degree is business administration and economics from Augsburg College.
A 40-year-old woman who family members said called 911 to report a possible assault in the alley behind her home Saturday night was fatally shot by a Minneapolis police officer.
The shooting happened at the end of the alley on W. 51st Street between Washburn and Xerxes avenues S. in the city’s Fulton neighborhood.
The woman, Justine Damond, from Sydney, Australia, and her fiancé lived in the 5000 block of Washburn.
Three sources with knowledge of the incident said Sunday that two officers in one squad car, responding to the 911 call, pulled into the alley. Damond, in her pajamas, went to the driver’s side door and was talking to the driver. The officer in the passenger seat pulled his gun and shot Damond through the driver’s side door, sources said. No weapon was found at the scene.
“Two Minneapolis police officers responded to a 911 call of a possible assault just north of the 5100 block of Washburn Avenue S. just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday,” the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said in a news release. “At one point, an officer fired their weapon, fatally striking a woman.
“The BCA’s investigation is in its early stages. More information will be available once initial interviews with incident participants and any witnesses are complete. … The officers’ body cameras were not turned on at the time and the squad camera did not capture the incident. Investigators are attempting to determine whether any video of the incident exists.”
Authorities have not released the woman’s name, but it was confirmed by people at the scene.
Minneapolis police confirmed that the two officers involved are on paid administrative leave, which is standard procedure.
The shooting was called “tragic” by Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges, who held a news conference about it at City Hall late Sunday afternoon, appearing with assistant Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo and Linea Palmisano, who represents the 13th Ward on the City Council.
“I am heartsick and deeply disturbed by the fatal officer-involved shooting that happened last night,” Hodges said.
“I know the neighborhood well,” said Hodges, who represented the area for eight years as a City Council member.
“We have few facts at this point,” she said. “I want to know more. I call on the BCA to share as much information with all of us as quickly as they can.
“I have questions about why the bodycams weren’t on,” she said.
Arradondo confirmed that the officer bodycam program is fully rolled out in Minneapolis but declined to say more about why there is no footage of the shooting.
Zach Damond, 22, whose father, Don, 50, was to be married to Justine in August, arrived at the scene with a close family friend about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. While the couple were not yet married, Justine referred to herself as Damond on her personal website. Her maiden name was Justine Ruszczyk.
“Basically, my mom’s dead because a police officer shot her for reasons I don’t know,” Zach Damond said, referring to Justine. “I demand answers. If anybody can help, just call police and demand answers. I’m so done with all this violence.”
Damond said Justine called police after she “heard a sound in the alley.”
He left the scene at noon Sunday to go to the airport to pick up his father, who had been on a business trip.
From her home in the middle of the block, Justine Damond would have had to walk a little more than 100 yards to get to the end of the alley.
There are three lights mounted on telephone poles along that route plus nine motion-detector lights on garages, and neighbors said the alley is well-lit at night.
A woman named Hannah, who came to the scene with Zach Damond and is a close family friend, said Justine was a “spiritual healer.” Hannah, 21, did not want her last name used for safety reasons.
“I don’t know what she was doing out,” Hannah said. “She’s such a kind woman. She took me in when I was in a tough situation and helped me with whatever I needed.
At a community vigil in the neighborhood on Sunday night, about 50 friends and neighbors held hands in a semicircle around the spot where Damond fell, while another 200 or more people watched from the sidewalk and the street. Some sobbed.
“This woman was a beautiful light,” said Bethany Bradley of Women’s March Minnesota, who had been at the scene since Sunday morning. “She was loved. She should still be here.
Leslie Redmond of the Minneapolis NAACP said she and other members of the NAACP who attended “stand in solidarity with the family.”
Nekima Levy-Pounds, one of three mayoral candidates who attended, said, “I hope and pray this is a wake-up call for the community to stop being divided by race and socioeconomic status … for treating everybody with respect.”
Dustin Johnson and his wife, Roz, live across the street from Justine and Don Damond. They saw the flashing lights and walked over to see police trying to resuscitate Damond as she lay on the ground.
Johnson said he heard no gunshots.
Justine Damond’s website says she “originally trained as a veterinarian” and “has also studied and practiced yoga and meditation for over 17 years, is a qualified yoga instructor, a personal health and life coach and meditation teacher, embracing and teaching the neuro-scientific benefits of meditation.”She attended high school in Sydney. The story of her death was front-page news in Australia.
Earlier Sunday, someone drew colorful chalk hearts on the driveway pad where Damond was shot, adding names of others, including Jamar Clark and Philando Castile, who were fatally shot by police. A few hours later, Hannah, an artist, added “Live in love not fear” to the drawings.
Hannah said there’s no way Damond would have had a gun. She often talked about how much better it was in Australia, where people aren’t allowed to have guns, Hannah said."

"TWO tourist agencies that operate tours to North Korea say the US government will soon ban its citizens from travelling to the North.
Koryo Tours says the ban would be announced on July 27 and will go into effect 30 days later. It did not say how long the ban would last.
Another tour operator, Young Pioneer Tours, said in a Twitter message that it has also been informed of the ban, citing the same date.
China-based Young Pioneer was the agency that took US student Otto Warmbier to North Korea. He was subsequently arrested there and sentenced to 15 years of hard labour. North Korea released him in June in a coma and he died days after getting back to the United States.
In a statement, Young Pioneer said: “It is expected that the ban will come into force within 30 days of July 27th. After the 30 day grace period any US national that travels to North Korea will have their passport invalidated by their government.”
Young Pioneer spokesman Rowan Beard told the BBC that the company learned of the development from the Swedish embassy, which looks after US affairs in North Korea.
The embassy was reportedly trying to check the number of US tourists left in the country.
Mr Beard said the US was urging its citizens to leave the country as soon as possible."

Richard Cohen, the president of SPLC, which has been linked to a domestic terror attack, wrote in a Huffington Post commentary that Christians deserve the designation because they “sow the seeds of hate.” For adhering to a biblical perspective on homosexuality, for one thing.

The Family Research Council, wrote Cohen, has a “long track record of using dehumanizing language and outright lies to portray LGBT people as sick, evil, and a danger to children and society. As stated on its website, it opposes the acceptance of homosexuality ‘in the law, in the media, and in the schools.’” He also renewed his group’s attacks on the conservative Centre for Immigration Studies. “It’s a group whose immigration agenda is coloured by ethnic bias,” he claimed.

SPLC’s defense of its activities comes on the heels of a lawsuit against the charity-monitoring organization GuideStar over its use of SPLC’s “hate” designations.

The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability warned GuideStar its use of false SPLC claims to undermine Christian organizations was damaging its own credibility.

SPLC sits in judgment of Christians and others, labeling as “haters” those who disagree with its pro-homosexual and open- borders agendas. In fact, SPLC put Dr. Ben Carson in that category before facing a backlash and abruptly backtracking.

Paul Bedard documented in his Washington Secrets column that some of the groups targeted by SPLC now are unleashing a public counter offensive, accusing the organisation of “fueling hate, killing free speech and even encouraging terrorist-style attacks on those it doesn’t agree with.”

WND reported Liberty Counsel sued GuideStar for its decision to use SPLC claims to label certain conservative and Christian groups. Then the Alliance Defending Freedom demanded an apology from ABC News for quoting SPLC in a slam of ADF. Bedard explained the new effort by the targets of SPLC includes a video and a tweetstorm that took aim at SPLC’s so-called “hate map,” which identifies groups it says promotes hate and extremism.SPLC lumps together groups such as the Ku Klux Klan with conservative nonprofits that promote traditional marriage, enforcement of immigration laws and other policies to which it objects.

Bedard said the campaign is led by the Washington-based Family Research Council.

SPLC was linked to the attempted mass murder in 2012 at FRC’s Washington, D.C., office. Floyd Corkins II confessed to the FBI he was motivated by the so-called “Hate Map” on the SPLC website that listed FRC as a “hate group.” FRC repeatedly has explained it adheres to a biblical perspective on homosexuality but is not “anti-gay.”SPLC also was linked to the June attack on congressional Republicans at a baseball practice before a charity game. SPLC admitted the shooter, James Hodgkinson, “liked” SPLC on Facebook, Liberty Counsel said.SPLC previously contended Scalise “promoted white supremacy and supported a ‘hate group,'” LC noted.

A spokesman for the campaign told Bedard: “Despite SPLC’s baggage – which also includes connections to two liberal gunmen – they continue to be cited as a credible source by mainstream media and others. With SPLC in the spotlight, we must expose this organization for what it really is – a left wing smear group who has become exactly what they set out to fight, spreading hate and putting targets on people’s backs.”

The report noted the huge victory by conservatives in just the last few weeks in the GuideStar case.

The organization, which reports details about charities in the U.S., began citing SPLC’s “hate” designation on its pages. It first got a letter from dozens of Christian organizations and quickly retreated by removing the labels.

However, the slander already hurt the reputation of the organizations, a lawsuit claims, and GuideStar should be held liable for the damages.

Once a group dedicated to fighting actual hate groups, the Southern Poverty Law Center has now turned to slandering and demonizing Christian and conservative organizations, labeling them “hate groups.” These groups are placed in the same category as the KKK on the SLPC’s “hate map” for merely upholding traditional standards of marriage and sexual morality.

The SPLC has enlisted in the culture wars on the side of the radical Left, and raised a huge amount of money from misled followers in doing so. Their false designations and demonization of Christians and conservatives has even led to violence.

This special program exposes the fraudulent and dangerous work of the Southern Poverty Law Centre.

Mathew Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel, which also was targeted by SPLC, has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Virginia asking the court to declare that GuideStar’s publication of SPLC’s “false and misleading” report designating Liberty Counsel as a “hate group” amounted to defamation, violating the Lanham Act, which prohibits false or misleading statements that harm a consumer or business.
SPLC also has exhibited behavior so egregious it was reprimanded by the far-left administration of Barack Obama.

Judicial Watch, citing a letter to Michael M. Hethmon, senior counsel for the Immigration Reform Law Institute, and others, said the DOJ reprimand came in 2016 but was “kept quiet at the agency’s request.”

“[It] involves the SPLC’s atrocious behavior during immigration court proceedings. Two groups that oppose illegal immigration, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), were the target of personal, baseless and below-the-belt attacks from SPLC attorneys during official immigration court proceedings. The SPLC filed a motion attacking and defaming the two respected nonprofits by describing them as ‘white supremacist,’ ‘eugenicist,’ ‘anti-Semitic,’ and ‘anti-Catholic.’ In its reprimand the DOJ says it is troubled by the conduct of SPLC lawyer Christopher Strawn and that his conduct ‘overstepped the bounds of zealous advocacy and was unprofessional.’ Furthermore, SPLC made ‘uncivil comments that disparaged FAIR and its staff,’ the rebuke states, adding that the language constitutes frivolous behavior and doesn’t aid in the administration of justice,” Judicial Watch explained.

“The Obama administration kept the reprimand confidential and asked FAIR and IRLI to keep it under wraps. In the meantime, SPLC continues to publicly trash the groups and escalate attacks against them by putting them on the official hate list. The executive director and general counsel of IRLI, Dale Wilcox, says his nonprofit and FAIR will keep fighting for immigration policies that put America first. ‘The SPLC’s latest tactic in its never-ending witch-hunt and the federal government’s resulting reprimand should send the following message to the mainstream media,’ Wilcox said: ‘Stop using the SPLC as a legitimate hate-watch source in your news coverage. That a cabal of biased list-keepers can play such an important role in distorting the immigration debate in this country is testament to the utter failure of much of the mainstream media which frequently publishes their inflammatory commentary and refuses to question their baseless methods or financial motivations,'” Judicial Watch said.

The letter explained the DOJ stopped short of “formal disciplinary proceeding,” instead opting for the rebuke in the letter.

“We take this opportunity to remind the attorney practitioners involved in this misconduct that practitioners before EOIR should be striving to be civil and professional in their interactions with each other, the public, the board and immigration courts. Attorneys owe a duty of professionalism to their clients, opposing parties and their counsel, the courts, and the public as a whole.”

"Barronelle is a Washington State floral designer who became the target of harassment and lawsuits after she made a simple decision to follow her conscience in 2013.

Barronelle had a long-time friend and customer named Rob. Barronelle and Rob had always had a warm and cordial friendship. After they built a relationship for nine years, Rob asked Barronelle to design the flower arrangements for his same-sex wedding.

But Barronelle couldn’t fulfill this one request. Because of her commitment to biblical truth and God’s plan for marriage, she knew she had to decline.

In a truly free society, no one would have tried to force her to participate.

Sadly, the Washington Attorney General saw things differently. Even though Barronelle had referred Rob to several other florists that she knew would do a good job for his wedding, the Attorney General filed a lawsuit against her.

Barronelle became the target of hateful letters, phone calls, emails, and even death threats. Then the ACLU stepped in to file a suit against her too.

But, through it all, Barronelle refused to surrender. It’s clear from her words that she knows she’s fighting for all of us:

“Does anyone really believe that a government that
gives itself the power to force people to believe (and
not believe) things and can order artists to create
state-sanctioned messages will only use that power
to bend one small-town florist to its will — and then

We are still very much in a battle for religious freedom every single day. We must defend our liberties, our faith, and our brothers and sisters like Barronelle.

Organizations like the ACLU want Christians to be completely marginalised, unable to speak about or live out our faith in public life.

In Barronelle’s case, the ACLU and the state unleashed a team of eleven attorneys who are trying to bankrupt her because she refused to violate her faith.

Earlier this year, the Washington Supreme Court ruled that the state can force Barronelle to create artistic expression and participate in events that conflict with her faith.

That court got it wrong because no one should have to choose between their faith and their livelihood. Freedom cannot survive in an environment of coercion.

Thankfully, this is not the end of the road. ADF is defending Barronelle free of charge."

“The military is expected to prepare its members in warfare: to kill, destroy, and break our enemies,” he continued. “The most important factors in preparing a strong military are not hormone therapy, surgical sex changes, or politically correct education.
“We need psychologically fit, emotionally sound, highly trained troops to protect our nation from its enemies,” he added.
Heyer proceeded to note that countless veterans are homeless or suffering sub-par health care at the hands of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and questioned where the money for sex-change operations for military recruits would come from and why it should be a priority above other important things.
On top of the high cost of gender transition — Heyer put the cost at up to $130,000, not even counting the costs of a sex-change reversal that some will inevitably seek — he pointed out that the change from being a man to a woman or vice-versa is only “cosmetic” and can lead to countless other psychological problems, is often regretted by some of those who go through the process and sadly ends in suicide attempts for roughly 40 percent of the transgender population.
“Beyond the financial cost, there’s the question of the service member’s military readiness during their transition or detransition, as the process often comes with a great deal of anxiety and emotional instability,” he noted.
He also noted his own experience living as a woman for eight years before accepting his birth gender. He now runs a website called SexChangeRegret.com,and a blog, WaltHeyer.com.
“As a person who lived the transgender life for eight years, I can attest that assisting, affirming, or paying for hormone therapies and genital mutilation surgeries would not have strengthened our military,” Heyer concluded. “They would only have brought adverse long-term consequences, both for individuals and for our armed forces as a whole.”
So there you have it, straight from the mouth (or keyboard) of a former transgender military veteran who disagrees with the progressive push of transgenderism for all on the taxpayer dime."

"Former United States Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) recently declared that Islamic refugees from Somalia have transformed Minnesota from a cozy, quiet state to one plagued with terrorist attacks, Shariah law and female genital mutilation, as Democratic politicians have targeted the Gopher State with massive Third World immigration.
“Minnesota is no longer the state I moved to in the mid-1960s,” Bachmann told WND. “Then, we were a well-ordered society with a high-functioning population.”
Welcoming problems?
Today, the largest Somali community in the United States – consisting of approximately 40,000 refugees who are predominantly Muslim, according to the U.S. Census Bureau – resides in Minnesota.
“It’s the biggest Somali community in North America – possibly in the world – outside of East Africa,” freelance photojournalist Arthur Nazaryan informed CNN. “It’s like the cultural hub of the Somali diaspora, you could say.”
Extreme Leftist politics has set the tone for Minnesota’s liberal immigration policy.
“Minnesota is a super liberal state. … They have that whole history of accepting refugees from, I think, initially Vietnam, and then the Hmong … and then the Bosnian crisis,” Nazaryan pointed out. “So, they have this whole infrastructure set up already – in terms of nonprofit agencies and NGOs – where their primary purpose is resettling refugees.”
Bachmann stressed that instead of integrating with American society as contributing members, Somali refugees in Minnesota have purposely disengaged from the community – a trend that has spurred the denigration of Minnesota’s culture, which comes with numerous detrimental social consequences.
“This is a failed multicultural experiment that is killing people and destroying the future of the West,” the conservative politician insisted. “Parallel societies kill assimilation from the Third World and create havoc in American societies.”
She stressed that the refugees’ decision to not assimilate into American culture as they predominantly live in closed communities – exclusive to Somalis – is the root of the problem.
The Minnesota government’s so-called multiculturalism agenda witnessed in the public school system and other state-run entities – such as law enforcement – have taken a negative toll on the state, with a recent tragic shooting bringing the problematic policy to light.
“Bachmann believes that the recent shooting of Justine Damond by a Somali-refugee cop Mohamed Noor, an officer hired during a campaign for a diverse police force, demonstrates the ‘havoc’ Third World immigration can bring to the United States,” WND’s Liam Clancy informed.
Bachmann noted that Somalis’ submersion in their own culture – leading to their intolerance for American culture – was the primary reason behind the fatal shooting.
“Somali women in Minnesota are almost always covered with clothing from head to toe,” Bachmann observed. “There is very little evidence in Minnesota of Somali women adopting Western dress and Western ways. In fact, Mohammad Noor was photographed with three females from his family – all of whom were covered with traditional Somali clothing.”
The former GOP presidential candidate impressed that there are dire consequences to be faced when the government allows such a drastic cultural rift in communities.
“Was Noor acting like the Muslim religious police, maintaining strict adherence to keeping women’s bodies covered when he shot Justine?” Bachmann posed. “Was he acting from a cultural instinct?”
Evidence from the crime scene indicates that the fatal shooting at the hands of the Somali police officer was no accident.
“The facts remain unclear because the officer hasn’t cooperated with investigators, but apparently, as Damond approached the police car she called for because she heard what sounded like an assault going on, he drew his gun, fired across his partner, through a car door,” Clancy pointed out. “His bullet killed Damond.”
Not jumping to conclusions, Bachmann just wants the right questions asked during the investigation – which she hopes will not be distorted to promote the state’s multicultural bent that openly welcomes Somali refugees.
“It’s prudent to ask whether police officer Noor shot Justine due to a Somali/Shariah mindset,” Bachmann asserted.
Such a mindset pervades Somali Minnesotans, with Islamic terrorism, Shariah law enforcement groups and female genital mutilation becoming more common in the state. Clancy pointed to a report by the St. Paul Pioneer Press about a Michigan doctor being charged with the genital mutilation of two Minneapolis girls this year – with a probe indicating that “multiple” other victims exist.
“There are ‘Shariah cops’ in Minneapolis – a group called the General Presidency of the Religious Affairs and Welfare of the Ummah that pays regular visits to Somali households to enforce Shariah law, including prohibition on the use of alcohol and restrictions on dress for women,” Clancy informed. “The group’s leader, Abdullah Rashid, is a convert to Islam who married a Somali woman and moved to Minnesota. Rashid has said he wants to turn a Muslim enclave of Minneapolis into a ‘Shariah-controlled zone,’ where Muslims are required to submit to Shariah law and non-Muslims are ‘asked to respect’ it.”
Bachmann emphasized how American tax dollars allow Somali refugees to have a higher standard of living while maintaining their anti-Western traditions.
“In Minnesota, Somali households live as they do in Somalia, only with improved living standards,” she asserted. “There is evidence of continued practice of female genital mutilation, of domestic abuse of women,and of polygamy.”
Because of Somalis’ sheltered existence, ISIS has been able to have a presence and influence Somalis in Minnesota.
“The Islamic State claimed responsibility for a stabbing attack on a Minnesota mall in 2016, in which a 20-year-old Somali refugee injured 10 people,” Clancy recounted.
FBI Special Agent Richard Thornton, who headed the probe, said that the Somali was most likely “radicalized” by others in his Minnesota community.
“One could reasonably conclude his actions were consistent with the philosophies of violent, radical Islamic groups,” Thornton told reporters, according to WND.
Before the massive Somali refugee resettlement program began in Minnesota, such problems simply did not exist.
“As people from Third World, impoverished, dysfunctional, war-torn countries establish communities anywhere in the world – from the tiny island nation of Nauru, to Minnesota – we see that transplanting the followers of Islamic Shariah law brings with it the continual problems of Islamic Shariah,” Bachmann lamented. “There are no success stories of mass Islamic migration anywhere in the world.”
She says that assimilation – or no immigration at all – is the only solution that can dismantle the detrimental “parallel societies.”
“Immigrants must know it is a condition of entry to the U.S. to assimilate into Western society by adopting allegiance to Western law,” Bachmann concluded. “Immigrants should also be required to adopt Western dress, and be informed they must abandon the illegal aspects of following Shariah law.”
As President Donald Trump’s adviser on faith issues, Bachmann prayed for him in the Oval Office recently and spoke to a forum for five Republican candidates for governor about the commendable ways the commander-in-chief is handling America’s security threat posed by militants migrating from Islamic nations.
“After all of this phony, fake, Russia-collusion nonstory, the number one thing that voters in America stand with Donald Trump on, it’s the idea that they want the pause button hit on immigration from Islamic countries because of the problems that are coming into this country,” Bachmann said at the American Legion post in Waconia, Minnesota, a couple weeks ago, where she was the keynote speaker at a dinner hosted by the Carver County Conservative PAC, according to TwinCities.com.
She addressed the dangers that Muslim immigrants bring upon the community.
“This is something that we have to be cognizant of, and not be afraid of it,” Bachmann told the crowd. “That’s what I see in Minnesota: Too many people who are being afraid of being called racists, bigots, Islamophobes – I’m not afraid of it, because what we’ve got to do is talk about the truth of the problems that are going on in Minnesota. [America should] step up deportation in the country of people who are unwilling to bear allegiance to the United States, [stop immigration from Muslim countries and prevent the creation of parallel societies within our society.”
The outspoken Republican explained the importance of state leaders bypassing politically correct social agendas and putting the safety of Minnesotans first.
“The next governor of Minnesota needs to understand the problems and the complications we have dealing with the issue of radical Islam,” Bachmann proclaimed. “There are very, very few who do.”
She continued to hit the problem of Islam head-on.
“Minnesota is a state that now has a reputation for terrorism,” Bachmann added, according to the Star Tribune.
The topic of the Damond shooting was brought up at the event, as well.
“Noor was an affirmative-action hire by the hijab-wearing mayor of Minneapolis, Betsy Hodges,” Bachmann argued. “In Minnesota, we have been marinated in political correctness so long we dare not even allow ourselves to think about cultural questions.”
She ended by pointing back to Trump’s speech in recent weeks in Warsaw, Poland, where he addressed the problem of Islamization by saying that “the West is also confronted by the powers that seek to test our will.”
The tough-on-immigration politician used this as a segue to close her speech.
“We’ve got to stop being ashamed of Western civilization,” Bachmann concluded before the crowd erupted in cheers."

“Attorney General Jeff Sessions says that the Department of Justice (DoJ) is reviewing policies for subpoenaing reporters during investigations of federal intelligence leaks, an indicator that the US government may consider more aggressive tactics to try and force journalists to identify their sources.

“‘One of the things we are doing is reviewing the policies affecting media subpoenas,’ Mr Sessions said, announcing his administration’s crackdown on leaks during a press conference. ‘We respect the important role that the press plays, and we will give our support. But, it is not unlimited. They cannot place lives at risk with impunity.'”

“Mr Sessions said that he had instructed his Justice Department to review its leak prosecution policies earlier this year, and that the results ‘concerned’ him. There were too few referrals for prosecution over classified leaks, too few investigations, and an insufficient amount of resources dedicated to those investigations, he said.”

"A Harvard student, Ruben Reyes, who serves as editorial chair of the Harvard Crimson, whined in a recent written rant that he prefers to stick with his own “students of colour” kind and ignore whites because — get this — whites are “exhausting” to befriend.
Racist? Let’s take a look.
He couched his views in context of looking at television shows that feature mostly white casts, with dotted scenes of minorities who are cast as “one-dimensional figures.” He then poses the question: “What, then, happens when people of color attempt to make white friends who’ve been nursed on media that depicts non-white people in such narrow ways?”
This is what happens, according to the world of Reyes.
“Often,” he wrote, The College Fix reported, “students of color like me end up in a precarious position. We want to make the most out of our time at predominantly white institutions like Harvard, which means making white friends that we might not have had at our segregated high schools. But we also want to avoid the racial insensitivity that can be a burden on our mental and emotional health.”
Hold on; here comes the pity party.
“Navigating this fine line,” he went on, “reveals a truth that makes people scream ‘reverse racism.’ Having white friends, as a person of color, can be exhausting. It’s much easier to make friends with other people of color who already understand the way the world pushes against you because of the melanin you carry in your skin. As Erin White argues, ‘in one way or another, White friends, largely, just aren’t safe to have’ because of ‘their unconscious but blatant biases against and misunderstandings of Black People.’ ”
Hmm. Wonder how’d that go over if, say, a white guy said similarly — if Joe B. White explained, in oh-so-even-tones, that he’d very much like to have black friends, but black people were so gosh-darned exhausting to deal with ’cause they’re always tossing out that race card.
Apparently, though, contemplating that scenario is just making Reyes’ point. In his mind, it’s: “There whitey goes again, reversing the situation so it shows blacks as potentially racist.” But hold on; we’re not done yet.
Reyes then takes it a step farther and blames whites who try to befriend blacks and other minorities for creating “uncomfortable social situations” and becoming a “burden” to minorities.
Did he just tell white America to stay with their own kind?
Yep, pretty sure he just did. Interesting. And his point is even more interesting when he reveals: “Although I’ve experienced this exhaustion in many social interactions with white people, my two best friends at Harvard are white.”
His white friends, however, are different than other whites because one lived in South Africa and one grew up in an immigrant household and therefore, understands the black experience. Unbelievable. Quick question: What makes Reyes able to understand the white experience?
His intellectualized rhetoric is a good example of why racism still exists and spreads. Here’s a thought: Maybe whites think it exhausting to listen to blacks cry about racism and victimhood, the inherent racist tendencies of America, the utter lack of opportunities for blacks in the face of White America — and so on, and so forth, ad nauseum, all against a backdrop of a Barack Obama White House, a Clarence Thomas Supreme Court, a Condoleeza Rice State Department, an Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch Justice Department, a Ben Carson Housing and Urban Development Department, etc. The list goes on — but doubtless, Reyes and his ilk don’t want to hear."

"As President Donald Trump told reporters that his Tuesday comments about North Korea that set the world on edge might not have been “tough enough,” Defence Secretary James Mattis said Thursday that a military solution to the North Korean crisis is in place. Mattis issued a statement Wednesday warning North Korea that following through on its rhetoric about drawing up an attack plan with Guam as the target “would lead to the end of its regime and the destruction of its people.” During a flight to the West Coast Thursday, Mattis told the reporters traveling with him that the military has options in place to deal with North Korea. “Do I have military options? Of course, I do. That’s my responsibility, to have those. And we work very closely with allies to ensure that this is not unilateral either … and of course there’s a military solution,” Mattis said. Mattis did not elaborate on his Wednesday statement, but did respond when asked if he had been taken aback by Trump’s comments Tuesday. “North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump said then. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening … and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before.” “If anything, maybe that statement wasn’t tough enough,” he said, referring to Tuesday’s comments."

"Countless policies are already in place that limit who can enter the military, and where they can serve. Somebody with terrible vision can’t demand to be a fighter pilot, nor can somebody with, say, bipolar disorder or anorexia be guaranteed an Army Ranger tab.

Transgender issues are a complex mix of physical, psychological, and social challenges.

It’s possible to wish fellow human beings well as they deal with gender dysphoria or a transgender transition, while also acknowledging that the military facing the prospect of war is not the right place for them.

"John Curtis, the Provo mayor, won the GOP primary special election Tuesday night and will face off against Democrat Kathie Allen, and third-party candidate Jim Bennett, son of the late GOP Sen. Bob Bennett of Utah, to determine who will fill the House seat vacated by Rep. Jason Chaffetz.
Three Republican’s squared off in Utah’s 3rd Congressional District in order to replace Chaffetz, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, who abruptly announced his resignation from Congress in June after slowly climbing through the political ranks for his persistent investigations into Hillary Clinton’s emails.
Former state lawmaker Chris Herrod received the GOP nomination at GOP’s state party convention, while Provo Mayor John Curtis and Tanner Ainge, the son of the Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge, acquired enough signatures to place their names on the ballot.
Curtis, who was endorsed by Utah’s Republican Governor, faced criticism for having once been a Democrat but is now considered the favorite to win the U.S. House seat.
Tanner Ainge, the son of the Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge, called Curtis to concede and congratulate him on his victory.
"The numbers were too insurmountable," Ainge’s press aide said.
This is one of seven special elections to take place this year to fill vacant seats in the House and the Senate. Alabama held a special election of its own Tuesday evening as well, to select party nominees to fill the U.S. Senate seat once held by Attorney General Jeff Sessions."
