Any Experience with the Self-Reliance Services Program?

Post by buffalo_girl »

I'm curious what any of you might know about the Self-Reliance Services Program being implemented through the Stakes. Just wondering.....

Our stake has people doing classes in the different areas, like getting a better job and getting education if needed.

Thank you, Arenera.

Anyone else seeing this program in the Stake where they live?

Yes, we had it in our stake for about a year. Was going to do it too, but a conflict in scheduling has kept me away.

Didn't go like they wanted it to. I looked at the material, and ... give it a thumbs down. Go get just about any of the books about that topic at your library/ online, and you'll be much further ahead. The one about starting a business was an absolute joke.

On the other side, many people who need it/ could really use it might be at the level they wrote it at, so maybe that's why.

Some people really liked the spiritual part.
