False christs, false teachers, wolves in sheeps' clothing...all sigms of the end times.

At one point. Julie Rowe was doing telephone conference healings where she charged $35 a head to attend.

Speaking of FB, here is a page dedicated to debunking it: https://www.facebook.com/LDS-Energy-Hea ... CH&fref=nf

Not only are they remotely healing others for money and using the name of Christ to do it, but they use rocks to heal putting them in their pockets or beds or around their necks as if an inatimate object possessed power to illuminate negative emotions. Also many lds energy healers are participating in spiritual counsels, where they are tutored by the dead. Usually these councilors are people like Abraham Lincoln or Joan of arc. Someone even counseled with Lucille ball. These members have no idea that this is shamanism, & spiritualism. Which both are completely contrary to the gospel and should not be participated in. Some energy healers use vision boards to attract Worldy treasures into their lives. Trips, cars, homes, money anything this world has to offer. Not realizing that the law of attraction is a law Satan uses. It's beyond belief that lds are falling for these practices. I could go on and on.

One great evil is, that men are ignorant of the nature of spirits; their power, laws, government, intelligence, etc., and imagine that when there is anything like power, revelation, or vision manifested, that it must be of God. . . .(Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Section Four 1839-42, p.203-214)

I understand the appeal. It is deeply communal and emotional, which appeals directly to the nature of women. It is fluid and unable to be measured or quantified, which can bring a sense of comfort. It also helps fill a void that many women feel in regards to the priesthood.

It has all the look and feel faith based healing, yet the practitioners claim to be manipulating some substance that is as of yet undiscovered by science.

It seems to me to be a different variation of the same old bag of tricks Satan has been using from the beginning of recorded history.

In RS the sister who took the lesson asked everyone to hold hands with the person sitting next to them, close their eyes and feel each other's spirit and energy lol sooner or later one of our leaders needs to address this.

Hopefully sooner rather then later. This new age spiritualism hasn't got a place in the church of Jesus Christ. Ive heard of vision boards being taught in YWs as an activity. Seriously, members of the church have no idea of the stupidity of these activities.
