The missionary department appears to be discontinuing missionary use of Facebook, in many parts of the US, for at least 2-3 months.
Hmmmm, I wonder why Facebook proselytizing turned out to be problematic?

I agree, Pink Death. In fact, when I told friends of mine that missionaries, along with the rest of us members, were being encouraged to use social media for missionary work, they thought I was fibbing!!

Brian - I don't recall if you referred me to CleanTalk or someone else, but with prosperazon forum, CleanTalk is amazing at spam elimination (make CoachMarks life much easier), and continues to catch over 250 spam accounts on average per day, so far, making my life much easier with the forum spammer robots out there.marc wrote:Brian, if possible, please put in place something to filter out new accounts, whose garbage I have to disapprove. It's turning my stomach having to look at things before I am able to get rid of them. These notifications clog up the process of approving new accounts. I didn't have to deal with such spam/trolls before the forum was upgraded yesterday. Thank you.

Re: I don't like the new structure of the forum.
Agreed. Preferred not having to open each forum every time to see what's going on. If that can be remedied, great!Desert Roses wrote:Ditto that...and I don't want to scroll through 10 pages to get to the last few comments on something I'm following.Ezra wrote:What I don't like is there is now less info and options.
No place to thank others. You have to open each forum to see what is going on in each where you used to be able to see the top or newest disscutions. Befor even going into gosple discussions or general and so on.

Must be my small screen size. None of that is there. It just has the avatar and name, no # of posts or little bubble button.BrianM wrote:

Kids call it my baby computer. I think the official name is a netbook. It's a teeny, tiny laptop. I love it.

Maybe it's so small that those items just slid off the edge of the computer and down into the circuits. :ymdevil: :o)Jezebel wrote:Kids call it my baby computer. I think the official name is a netbook. It's a teeny, tiny laptop. I love it.

I love that the note at the bottom saying the post has been edited is no longer a glaring highlighted box.
I'm wondering if you can take the View own Posts off of the quick links menu and put it beside the Latest Posts link. I use that link the most.

Me, too. I would do anything to avoid that bright pink box. Now, it isn't such a big deal if I need to edit.Jezebel wrote:I love that the note at the bottom saying the post has been edited is no longer a glaring highlighted box.

Lol. Isn't that the truth. It was always the dilemma when you find that pesky grammatical error: do you deal with the irritation of having the error sit there unedited, or brand your post as edited with a bright banner displayed at the bottom.

Brian, my posts are not reflecting daylight savings time. Now, this would be great if I was still living in AZ, but it's mild cog dis to see that something I just posted said it was posted an hour ago. I went to the setting the time part of my control panel but could not find a way to add/reject dst.

Re: Forum Software Updated (2015-02-28)
My forum timezone is set for zone 7, the same as my computer is. The forum and computer are an hour off from each other. The old software had a place to turn DST on and off.
