AZ School District: Parents Submit Contract Lock Up Guns

Post by mes5464 »

Arizona school district wants parents to submit to contract agreeing to lock up guns
A school district in a generally rural section of northwest Tucson, Arizona is asking the parents of high school students and junior high school students to pledge never to use guns or violence to resolve problems.

The “Student/Parent/Principal Contract for Eliminating Guns and Weapons from School 2013 — 2014″ was part of the Flowing Wells Unified School District’s registration packet for the upcoming school year, reports the Arizona Daily Independent.

Second Amendment advocates see the terms of the contract — particularly the ones set out for parents — as a patronizing attempt to govern behavior in private homes.

Dash Cam Footage Captures Cops’ Panic Following Illegal Detainment
Upon returning to their vehicle, the officers forget to turn off their recording devices.

The subsequent anxious conversation and reaction to discovering an active recording speaks volumes to the officers’ misconduct.

“He’s already going to get lawyers,” one officer, presumably Deputy Brian Beck says, “We gotta go… This…this guy’s the real deal. This guy is the one that posted everything last year on his site.”

Beck next says, “Here’s the problem, they [the rodeo] didn’t trespass him when we were there… they asked him to leave.”

“Well, even so, we’re going off what we were told,” Belnap says attempting to rationalize their unlawful mistake. “I wasn’t there so…”

“I didn’t want to stop the man,” Beck continues, adding “God we’re gonna get sued…”

“Perhaps you’re right,” Belnap says.

“We’re gonna be in a world of hurt here,” says Beck. “It’s all because of that rodeo board…. you know that, right?”

“[Insert Obrien's favorite curse word here] I was still recording!” Beck announces when he finally realizes the dash cam is still on.

Marine Corps Colonel: Homeland Security Building “Domestic A

Post by mes5464 »

Marine Corps Colonel: Homeland Security Building “Domestic Army”
The comments by the Colonel, whose identity remains unknown, were made during public testimony at a Concord City Council meeting on Tuesday. The meeting concerned a decision on whether to accept a $260,000 Homeland Security grant on behalf of the Central New Hampshire Special Operations Unit to purchase a BearCat armored vehicle.

The purchase of the vehicle has been surrounded by controversy after the city’s Police Chief wrote in an application filing to the DHS that the vehicle was needed to deal with the “threat” posed by libertarians, sovereign citizen adherents, and Occupy activists in the region.

Referencing signs in the crowd which read “More Mayberry, Less Fallujah,” the Colonel spoke of how he didn’t even have armored vehicles when he was stationed in Fallujah.

The Colonel’s role as a Ministry of Defense coordinator was to command, train and equip the Iraqi Army, noting that he helped do everything he could “to make it as strong as possible,” but that “Homeland Security would kick their butts in a week.”

Stressing that it was unlawful and unconstitutional to use US troops on American soil, the Colonel warned, “What’s happening here is we’re building a domestic military,” adding that police are now “wearing the exact same combat gear that we had in Iraq, only it was a different color.”

The Colonel warned that the DHS was following military tactics by, “pre-staging gear and equipment” in order to build a “domestic army” while shrinking the US military “because the government is afraid of its own citizens.”

The Colonel slammed the idea of law enforcement purchasing militarized vehicles for domestic security, noting, “The last time more than ten terrorists were in one place at the same time was September 11th and all these vehicles in the world wouldn’t have prevented it nor would it have helped anybody.”

“I don’t know where we’re going to use this many vehicles or this many troops,” he continued, “Concord is just one cog in the wheel – we’re building an army over here and I can’t believe that people aren’t seeing it – is everybody blind?”

Once an countries military looses it morality, it becomes a danger to that country and it looses God's blessing.
So, it will ultimately fail to do what it is supposed to do, which is to protect the country.
George Washington plead with the Revolutionary Army to be moral, and he attributed their success to God's blessing because the army kept the Lord's commandments.

New Mexico boy set to go to court in dad's killing

New Mexico boy set to go to court in dad's killing
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The 10-year-old New Mexico boy lived in an abusive, filthy home and had tried desperately to get help to stop the beatings he and his younger siblings had for years faced at the hands of their abusive father, his attorney says.

Then, one day in 2009, prosecutors say, he put a gun to the head of his 250-pound father and killed him at their Belen, N.M., home.

After years of stops and starts, the boy is scheduled to face a jury this month for first-degree murder in a rare prosecution expected to highlight the debate over whether children that young are capable of the pre-meditation required for such a serious charge. Experts say the boy, now 14 and living in Oklahoma, is just one of a handful of very young children in the nation's history to face such a conviction.

Everyone has the right to defend themselves. To punish someone for murder when they are acting to stop the abuse they suffer is wrong. And to try and convict a person who was 10 years old when they committed the act disturbing and the prosecution should be punished for stupidity!

Citizens Alarmed as Militarized Cops Invade Missouri Neighbo

Post by mes5464 »

Citizens Alarmed as Militarized Cops Invade Missouri Neighborhood
“An unidentified man pulled up around 8:15 p.m. was frisked by police and then detained for questioning, but what got neighbors here very upset happened a few minutes earlier,” reports FOX2Now in St. Louis. “It was the presence of a SWAT team, complete with officers wearing armor and carrying assault rifles surrounding the man’s home as police went to the door. One woman frantically told her husband, the army’s here.”
Police shrugged off the urgent concern of residents who thought their neighborhood had been invaded. “Police say that it was the service of an administrative warrant by their special investigations unit. Officers will not go into any greater detail, though SWAT team members were downplaying it again saying that their presence on any felony warrant search is standard practice,” the FOX news station reports.
In response to a large number of high-profile, lethal-force incidents involving SWAT cops, the American Civil Liberties Union announced earlier this year a nationwide investigation of the militarization of police departments and simultaneously filed 255 public records requests in 24 states on March 6. According to the Standard-Examiner, agencies have been asked to provide information on SWAT team deployments, injuries during the operations, weapons used, and the level of funding for military equipment from the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security.

[Video] Washington Open Carrier Awarded $15k Settlement After Cop Drew Gun on Him
Laigaie knew that Washington is an “open carry” state where it is allowed. He even offered the officer, Allen Bass, a copy of that law when Bass asked for his identification. When Laigaie refused to hand over his ID, he said the officer pulled out his own weapon and pointed it at him. “A couple of times, he had it right in my chest and that was 6, 7 inches from muzzle to flesh,” Laigaie said. Laigaie demanded that the officer put the weapon away. “I wasn’t breaking the law, I was well within the law and he had no right to do that. I don’t like being bullied,” he said.

How New Cannabis Prohibition Laws Created Crime In Holland

How New Cannabis Prohibition Laws Created Crime In Holland

http://wearechange.org/how-new-cannabis ... n-holland/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is the interesting fact about prohibitions, the criminals love prohibited products.

Back during Prohibition in the USA gave rise to strong mobs, speak-easy's, moonshine, etc. When it was illegal it was controlled by criminal organizations that would lie, cheat, rob, and kill to protect their business. Much of the crime arose from different criminal factions fighting of markets. Today, we look at Holland and see that the same thing has begun there.

Over the years I have tried to wrap my head around this fact. Even the church directed the saints to vote against repealing Prohibition in the USA. But, when I study and pray, the feeling I get is that you can't take away someones agency lightly, if every. I have concluded that you have to restrict laws to the crime. Who has lost life, liberty, or property/happiness? That is the victim and only then do you have a crime.

Edit:

So, it was brought to my attention that the prophet directed the saints not to vote for the repeal of the 18th amendment. Then I read the wiki on it and it said, "the 18th amendment is the amendment that made production, transport and sale of (though not the consumption or private possession of) alcohol illegal."

That makes total sense, in that I can see it moral for a government to outlaw the business of getting people high without taking from a person the right to get themselves high. i.e. You can grow it and smoke it but you can't sell it or give it away. I am always reluctant to give government power over what a person can put in their body, but I am good with criminalizing someone who is harming another person by selling them drugs or alcohol.

I still think the criminal element of prohibited goods is real. They love having a restricted market. Enforcement of prohibited goods as lead to many infringements on constitutional rights, like the behavior of the DEA, ATF, etc. I also find it interesting that law enforcement, during prohibition, actively enforced the 18th amendment as if personal possession of alcohol was unlawful when it wasn't. It is the same today, like when police want to arrest someone for filming or photographing when there is nothing unlawful about either.

Why Are SWAT Teams Answering Routine Police Calls?

Post by mes5464 »

Why Are SWAT Teams Answering Routine Police Calls?
The SWAT team is the big guns of policing in the United States, reserved for kidnappings, gunmen and other highly dangerous and potential volatile situations. Right?
Wrong, apparently, because in recent years, the use of SWAT teams for routine law enforcement matters has been on the rise, with sometimes fatal consequences. These highly trained police personnel are being sent out on gambling raids, ordered to break up underage parties and even dispatched to handle student loan fraud.

Ban on carrying loaded guns absent a concealed-carry permit

Post by mes5464 »

Ban on carrying loaded guns absent a concealed-carry permit is upheld by Oregon supremes
The Oregon Supreme Court has upheld a Portland ordinance that prohibits the carrying of loaded guns in public places.

In an opinion (PDF) issued on Thursday, the court said the loaded-gun ban does not violate the Second Amendment or the Oregon Constitution. The court noted 14 exemptions to the city's loaded-gun ban, including one for people who have obtained a state license to carry a concealed weapon. Police officers, hunters and people traveling to target ranges are also exempted.

The court pointed to language in the U.S. Supreme Court ruling District of Columbia v. Heller that said the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms is not absolute.

Exclusive: FBI raids Philadelphia Sheriff's Office
The FBI raided the Philadelphia Sheriff’s office Thursday and seized some of the office’s computers, a source said.
An FBI spokeswoman confirmed that it was at the office “performing normal law enforcement activities” but declined to offer specifics. She said details would not come unless charges are filed.
A Sheriff’s office employee posted the following message on his Facebook account Thursday:
“So I’m at the office and in comes the FBI. They locked the doors unplugged my computer and separated everyone. I was able to take my cell phone with me and I’m currently being quarantined for what reason I do not know.”

Senior TIME Reporter Calls for Drone Strike on Wikileaks’ Assange
Less than one month after writing an article advocating the creation of a 1984-style police state within the US, TIME Magazine’s senior correspondent Michael Grunwald now says he ‘can’t wait’ to cheer on the death of Wikileak’s Julian Assange. In fact, he specifically can’t wait to support a drone strike on Assange.

“I can’t wait to write a defense of the drone strike that takes out Julian Assange“

Video: The New Common Core Obama Math Standard: “3 x 4 = 11″
But even under the new Common Core… even if they said 3 X 4 was 11, if they were able to explain their reasoning and explain how they came up with their answer, really in words and in oral explanations, and they showed it in a picture but they just got the final number wrong, we’re really more focusing on the how and why.
http://www.infowars.com/video-the-new-c ... %E2%80%B3/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Dr. Ron Paul wrote: Sadly, but not surprisingly, instead of improving education by repealing No Child Left Behind’s testing and other mandates, the Obama administration is increasing national control over schools via the “Common Core” initiative. Common Core is a new curriculum developed by a panel of so-called education experts. The administration is trying to turn Common Core into a national curriculum by offering states increased federal education funding if they impose Common Core’s curriculum on their public schools.

This is yet another example of the government using money stolen from the people to bribe states into obeying federal dictates.

Critics of Common Core say it “dumbs down” education by replacing traditional English literature with “informational texts”. So students will read such inspiring materials as studies by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the EPA’s “Recommended Levels of Insulation,” and “Invasive Plant Inventory” by California’s Invasive Plant Council. It is doubtful that reading federal reports will teach students the habits of critical thinking and skepticism of government that the Founders considered essential to maintaining a free republic.
