Funny ~ watching a guy, texting on his cell phone, step off a curb and almost face plant... Look up and see that people are watching... and quickly yell at his dog as if it caused him to stumble.

Poor dog was having a "What the..." moment.

Not humor, but funny as in a guy attracts wild animals - and even has a wolf and a baby deer living peacefully together.

I will begin by stating that I am guilty of mistakes made such as what was overheard this weekend at the grocery store. I know what I am trying to say, but the wrong word leaps out, either verbally or in writing:

Two young ladies were talking rather loudly while their items were being scanned. There was another couple between me and the young ladies. I could hear the conversation but could only see the couple in front of me and watch their reactions.

The young lady who was speaking was upset that her boyfriend seemed depressed. She said, "I hate when he self-defecates. It is depressing for everyone around him."

The couple in front of me began laughing and it was contagious. Several of us were biting our tongues, trying to keep it together.

The young lady who chose the wrong word was upset with the laughter and turned to all of us and said, "Do ya'll think self-defecating is funny? It is not."

I felt bad because she sounded close to tears.

The couple who was standing between me and the young ladies began mumbling between each other. The woman was telling her husband that he better not.

(but he did) He stopped laughing, composed himself somewhat and gently told the young lady to look up the term. He then spoke in a sympathetic voice, "We are good people. We will hold your place in line while you grab some Depends."

He then began laughing so hard that he did not notice his wife stepping in and paying for the young ladies' items.
