Q15's Backdoor Politics

Post by The Red Pill »

Mitt Romney has officially ENDORSED Harris...an open Marxist in thought and deed. Now think for a minute about this. EVERYONE knows Romney is a Mormon. Do you really believe he would not be called in immediately and questioned by Q15 why he is embarrassing the church taking this position? Or, the church issuing a statement distancing itself from Romney's stance. But...if Q15 has the same position, he would be left alone. Nothing, crickets from Q15.

I used to wonder when the "bretheren" would reign in Mitt...until I realized...he IS their political spokesman!!! They also trot out McMuffin when they want to take out a political opponent (Trump, Lee).

For your review of what Romney ENDORSED....disgusting.

Romney is EVIL
Q15 is allowing a high profile member to promote EVIL...what does that say about them????

Yikes. At the VERY least come out with a statement along the lines of "The endorsement of a political candidate by a prominent church member should not be interpreted as an endorsement by the church. Nor should church members feel pressured to vote in line with the stated preference of any prominent church member speaking on their own behalf."

I wish so bad I was in any kind of position to publish a widely read statement about Mittens.

If it's backdoor politics, I think they've left the door wide open with a welcome sign above it. I can easily believe that at least a majority of the 15 will be voting for Whoremala (I don't care what "party" they are registered with - makes zero difference). Their actions/words over the past 3 1/2 years (and beyond that, for several of them) lead me to no other conclusion, so they are of the same mind as Pierre and will, no doubt, vote the same.

Look no further than the late Harry Reid, probably one of the most corrupt politicians of our time and yet he had full fellowship and was in good standing in the church. Now if he was a coffee drinker, that would be too much for the Q15 to allow.

Has the church ever called in anyone for their endorsement of a political candidate or party? Even back in President Benson’s time there were and are now church members who are members of various national communist parties and I have never heard of them being questioned by church leaders over that fact. Indeed one such member was called to be a stake president in East Berlin prior to German reunification.

My earliest awareness of evil among us was from the infamous Reid
he always made the rounds to every ward in LV valley during campaign years -- my mother told us what he was up to... it never made sense to my teenage mind that the ward leaders invited him to sit on the stand -every time - and sometimes allowed to speak ...what were they afraid of ? he really creeps me out -still
Decades later I am aware of just some of his evil doings

Being a member of the Communist Party in East Germany was a different dynamic for being one in the west. Some party members only joined to further their career and were non-ideological. Totally cynical and questionable of course. (Same applies to career Nazis who joined after Hitler took power, or some modern Chinese who join the church.)

I think it could easily be argued that open Communism is contrary to the church. It is hostile to the very idea of god, supports violent revolution and devotion to the party organisation above all else. It isn't very supportive of free agency either.

My mom and dad were the mission office couple in the Warsaw Poland mission several years ago. My dad also served in the Warsaw branch presidency. There was a member (I think he was under church discipline) who had been a very high Communist Party official, and the members were scared of him (there is always a pessimism and fatalism and fear that bad things can happen again in Poland. Understandable, given their history). He would post on the bulletin board callings he felt should be made and changes he thought should happen, and he was arrogant and argumentative. My dad had to remind the leadership that he had absolutely no authority or say in any of this, and that they shouldn't let him worry them. But it was hard for them to do this. What if the pendulum swings back again?

I'm sure there must be more recent cases.

Not sure where you're going with this...

Things are so different now. JFK democrats had differences with Republicans, but both were decent people who wanted the best for society and the country.

Today's democrats and many Republicans are oozing pure evil. Trying to destroy society and the country. Q15 can forget about political parties, but as moral leaders, they should call out evil in society. Romney is endorsing EVIL...and Q15 most likely would endorse Harris if they could.

What good are moral leaders if they don't call out evil???

Where I’m going with this is that the expectation that church leaders be they general or local taking any action of any kind in regards to a member’s political beliefs as long as those beliefs are exercised in a lawful fashion is unrealistic.

The assumption I think most of us have is if there were a political party as extreme as the democrat party has become, “real prophets” like Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, John Taylor, absolutely would have censured members for supporting it.

Anti Christian
Anti speech
Anti privacy
Open Borders
Anti gun
Life altering sex hormones and surgeries for minors
Pro war
The list goes on

Edit: just had to edit to add late term abortions because I mean, come on

I haven't been able to find any source for Romney's endorsement of Harris. I find that lots of his staffers, and McCain's and Bushes signed a letter endorsing her. And Mitt praised her debate performance but so did my Kamala hating husband. If he does it would probably only surprise two grandmothers in Utah that haven't been paying attention, but I can't find it.

ya let's skip over all the evil parts...and continue to focus on looking for someone called out for political beliefs....which we all know doesn't really happen......maybe thats why the lgbtqiia plus members are not called out for anything..because it's a political belief and it's codified in the legal code.....and has nothing whatsoever to do with morality or religion.....that seems thoughtful and logical....... It's got to be hard to justify all this stuff gk.....but you are doing a great job helping all of us to see the other side of the aisle...and you are prolly sleeping well at night knowing that your thoughts/comments are lighting up the dark conservative corners of the forum....someone has to do it....mormons organizing for Harris need the support...

Not far off eighty years — Helmuth Hübener — in 1942.

I'm sure there must be more recent cases.
Helmuth Günther Guddat Hübener (8 January 1925 – 27 October 1942) was a German youth who was executed at age 17 by beheading for his opposition to the Nazi regime. He was the youngest person of the German resistance to Nazism to be sentenced to death by the Sondergericht ("special court") People's Court (Volksgerichtshof) and executed.

In 1937, the president of the LDS Church, Heber J. Grant, had visited Germany and urged the members to remain, get along, and not cause trouble. Consequently, some church members saw Hübener as a troublemaker who made things difficult for other Latter-day Saints in Germany. This recommendation did not change after Kristallnacht, which occurred the year following Grant's visit, after which he evacuated all non-German Latter-day Saint missionaries.

The local Latter-day Saint branch president, Arthur Zander (1907-1989), was a supporter of the Nazi Party, and had affixed a notice to the meetinghouse entrance stating "Jews not welcome". Ten days after the arrest of Hübener, on 15 February 1942, Zander claimed to have excommunicated the young man. The excommunication was also signed by the European mission president and many other leaders voiced their support.

The day of his execution, Hübener wrote in a letter to a fellow branch member, "I know that God lives and He will be the Just Judge in this matter… I look forward to seeing you in a better world!" This is thought to be the only surviving letter by Hübener.

In 1946, four years later and after the war, Hübener was posthumously reinstated into the LDS Church by the new mission president, Max Zimmer, saying the excommunication was not carried through with the proper procedures. He was also posthumously rebaptized, ordained an elder, and endowed in 1948 to clarify that his membership in the church was never in doubt.

This is astounding - shocking - sickening, life changing
I've sure been under a rock -
This young man, his story should be shouted from rooftops, retold in every family and church setting for all time .
Heber grant telling them to remain, get along, not cause trouble !!!
True history of ldscorp --
There's more, if you want to read Moroni and the swastika. Rueban J Clark's mission companion was a Jew and had written several letter begging the apostle to sponsor him and his family out of Germany. Clark was anti semitic and refused. The mission president was pro Nazi and his wife was very proud of riding in the furher's car. The church furnished everyone's genealogy which had to be carried around to prove you weren't undesirable. It's a good read and shows the church's habit of going along to get along.

Korsgaard46 wrote: September 12th, 2024, 3:25 pm Look no further than the late Harry Reid, probably one of the most corrupt politicians of our time and yet he had full fellowship and was in good standing in the church. Now if he was a coffee drinker, that would be too much for the Q15 to allow.
The official statement of the church on Reid's death was revealing .
Also the endorsement of Biden when he became president.
(just going off of memory, I don't have the links)

I do wonder what the Q15 statement will be if Kamel is declared POTUS? I cringe thinking about it....
Perhaps like RMN calling the pope "his holiness" twice on video?

All we have to do is read the Deseret news and KSL to get the official stance of the church.
