Re: Pavilion in Park for Meeting Place for Lecture/Discussion
I'd love to meet you. Depending on the location, I might be able to make it. I live along the northern end of the Wasatch Front, for what it's worth.

It would take me about 45 minutes to drive down there on a good day. Traffic in Davis County is bad during rush hour, though. I hate driving through Davis County.

Re: Pavilion in Park for Meeting Place for Lecture/Discussion
I don't know about lecture.
I would prefer a meet and greet.
I think we can all get good lectures or postings here, which we can then read and evaluate at our leisure.
Restaurant lunch might be good.
There tend to be some unsavory activities in parks, public parks, no matter where they are.
Temple Square area is rather central.
When?
If it's the days before Conference (last days of September) I could be there.

In the past we have had meetings at various restaurants that have private/meeting rooms available for groups.

I'm out.
I'll be busy that weekend.
But post what you got here and I'll take a look at it.

My church rents out space to people for things like this. It's a Christian church. They don't mind who they rent to as long as you are not Satan worshiping or something. It's in Orem so probably not a good location, but you might look into other churches for options.

Re: Pavilion in Park for Meeting Place for Lecture/Discussion
There's this little family owned restaurant in Pleasant Grove that lets the Campaign for Liberty people hold meetings once per week. The room isn't exactly private, but it fits 10-20 people and the owners are cool with media use and all that. I can't remember the name, but I'll look it up if you are interested. It's just off of State street, a 50's style hamburger place. Yummy fries.

Hi, almost forgot about this. It's called the State Street Grill. Here is the google maps link: https://www.google.com/maps/place/State ... bc9c297a30" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Owned and operated by a nice freedom-loving couple. I'm not sure what their religious beliefs are, but I got the idea they are mainstream LDS. I'm assuming your lectures are religious in nature since an LDS church was not an option.

Oh, ok, got it. I would imagine the State Street Grill people would be okay with it. I don't know, however, if they routinely let people use their restaurant, so that is what you would want to check on.
