So I need to figure out the appropriate snacks... Pretzels? Also, since thexchurch is broadcasting the session over the Internet due to the planned protest, we now have the chance to watch at home while we celebrate. We should have a chat session or something.ajax wrote:Gad, Virgil's is yummy. Haven't had the others.

Ajax, in my travels this last weekend, I came across this coaster for Octoberfest in a restaurant (yeah, they spelled it without the k). I wanted to give it to you, so here it is.

Root beer works for me. Not sure if I'll be joining you though, 'cuz I won't be home. (Fun to infiltrate a priesthood "barley-fest" though.)ajax wrote:Reminder: Tomorrow, 1hr after priesthood session.

Hey, this isn't the mild barley thread! :ymdevil:
How 'bout this then - Pharaoh's Beer or Pharaoh's Brew - http://www.sciencedump.com/content/brew ... raohs-beer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"Sam and Floris head to an 4,000-year-old Egyptian tomb that holds the earliest depiction of beer brewing."
Who knew?
I'll be partaking of good ol' A&W, as well. =p~

Have someone get you guys some joint rush tea, it grows wild around here and is a good pick-me-up when you're ill, especially if you have congestion.Franktalk wrote:I will try and be here. Jo has the flu real bad. She is just starting to feel better.
EDIT: If you can't find anyone that knows what you're talking about (it's also called mormon tea and brigham tea) I'll see if I can find a way to bring some up your way. Tell Jo I hope she feels better soon.

I would do so but I am not so sure about her. I know what it is and have made some for myself. She does not want to try it.
Thanks for the comments.

It is definitely not for daily use, I only use it when I'm sick. But it is more mild than its Asian relative, Mah Huang. Both are ephedra though so caution is wise, especially if you have a heart condition.Franktalk wrote:SmallFarm wrote: Have someone get you guys some joint rush tea, it grows wild around here and is a good pick-me-up when you're ill, especially if you have congestion.

Well, I'm watching Perry right now in my office. One screen conference and one screen LDSFF. I got my 3 bottles of root beer and pretzels. I think I'm going to dig this new thing of watching priesthood at home with my PJs.

Perry: : A church in which true doctrine is no longer taught is useless.
Strong words emphasizing just how important it is to remain true to inspired doctrine.

I have my brat with grilled onions and red peppers and a Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel (dark)
For all of you here, thanks for humoring me in this little get together. Though we may not always agree, you are good people to be around.
At the end of the day, we all should be able sit around and have a drink together.

Re: Oktoberfest 2013 - here on LDSFF
I'm here.
I was just checking for an update on a mystery I ran into 3 weeks ago. really cool check this out.
http://nickjhp.wordpress.com/2013/10/02 ... tery-song/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Good summary of this. (sorry this is totally not gospel related, except I just find it inspiring that millions of people over at least 11 years worked together and were united across all sorts of boundaries in a little quest to help a man figure out a tune he has had in his head for 27 years.)
Most of us would get along. It is all of these secret combinations that seek power and get it by dividing us.
Reddit is cool.
