BS will soon open the real casino soon as they clear up a small detail of few dead guys that went and fell off the scaffolding, but of course they claim complete adherence to safety standards. It may be fun to inquire about acquiring a few yen to go with my recently acquired 10 lbs of silver.iWriteStuff wrote: ↑June 29th, 2017, 7:21 amNah it's the "beats expectations" GDP report out this morning. Everything's awesome again, right? 1.4% growth! Yes we can! Yes we can! Yes we can! :ymdevil:
Just look at that USDJPY chart. Practically dictates PM movements....
And you think US States have Gadianton Robbers. Chinese corruption is ten times worse where they find people in burnt up houses with their legs cut off. :ymdevil:
Oh well, another pound of not so shiny silver stuff is on the way. :))
10 British pounds; really 5 ounces at 2 lbs per ounce. Now I ordered a pound of zinc, a pound of titanium, and some copper rounds too. There is a bunch of pretty metal trinkets on Ebay. Titanium is the only metal that withstands salt water despite being a machinists worst nightmare, it may still be widely used for OTEC and Airplane Heat Exchangers. See what you started

I'm in awe of the creative powers of Jehovah and metals are a great example of His work.. Plus, the mining/refining process isn't easy. I can't just walk out into the woods and grab some metal. That's why I pick up every penny as well as every nail or bolt or washer I see.BeNotDeceived wrote: ↑June 29th, 2017, 9:06 am10 British pounds; really 5 ounces at 2 lbs per ounce. We've never had this many people submit answers at the last minute before. The competition suddenly became a lot tougher . . .

The eleventh hour guess on the eleventh week of an eleven week contest. You should get a prize just for that.

Alright, folks, the guesses are logged and sorted. Check your guess just in case. The competition is intense this week, as always . . .

Re: Silver Contest: Week 11 (of 11)
I just noticed that gilgal could have guessed $16.59, boxing in Onsdag on the low side, and ensured himself a win if the price drops below Onsdag's $16.60 guess. However, given gilgal's success of winning twice already, I'm left to wonder if his guess of $16.50 was a simple oversight or actually part of his master plan.

$16.60 right now. It's a tight race on the low end of all this week's guesses.

Just checked and it's $16.60 again. This contest is as exciting as listening to my truck rust.

Re: Silver Contest: Week 11 (of 11)
Maybe we need to do a contest to see who can consistently miss the closing price by a margin of 25 to 50 cents. Don't worry, mirkwood, I'm laughing with you not at you. I have bought silver many times only to see the price drop a few percent within a day or two.

Re: Silver Contest: Week 11 (of 11)
Thanks to everyone who participated in the weekly contests.
Thanks to BeNotDeceived who participated every week.
Older/Wiser? participated every week he could. (O/W's two victories prevented him from participating four times, per the rules.)
Speaking of two victories, besides today's winner Onsdag, and O/W just mentioned, and gilgal also won twice which means that six of the 11 contests were dominated by just three players.
Analyzing the data was made easy with Meili's worksheet. Heartfelt thanks to her.
iWriteStuff captured his 4th 2nd place position this week. You can't do that unless you know what's going on.
If you didn't win, please consider buying some silver in the near future and then add to your holdings as your circumstances allow. Food, water, and shelter first, but always think about your financial reserve. Less paper and more metal.

You're stealing my thunder. I have a whole list of useless facts I've been waiting until now to publish. Oh, well, you didn't get everything. Look for that possibly tonight or tomorrow.Silver wrote: ↑June 30th, 2017, 3:17 pm Thanks to everyone who participated in the weekly contests.
