I have lost too many people I care about to cancer -- and several of them, young.

The truth about cancer is that the phrase, "early detection" is a misnomer. There is no such thing as early detection. When it is the size of a period on a piece of paper, it usually is not detectable yet. However, it is approximately one million cells in size at that point, and based on the average doubling time of 100 days, has been growing in the body for approximately 6 years. If it is malignant, it typically had already begun metastasizing after the first year or two, which also won't be detectable for many years. By the time the primary tumor is detectable, it is typically the size of a pencil eraser and approximately 1 billion cells in size. Based upon the average doubling time of 100 days, it has typically been growing for about 10 years in the body, and if it is malignant, it typically had begun seeding elsewhere, throughout the body -- long ago. And those metastases that have already occurred, are typically not detectable yet, at that point. In other words, by the time the primary tumor is large enough to be found, if it is malignant, it has typically already spread elsewhere. With so-called "early detection", cancer that is big enough to be found is typically really already 2/3 of the way through the disease process -- and if malignant, though not detectable yet, metastases have typically already spread, long ago.

...bottom line: The reality is that far and away, the best way to handle cancer is to not get it in the first place. And that, to a very large degree can be determined by the food we choose to eat, and the food we choose not to eat.

For anyone with an interest in the subject, I recommend watching the following video clips. Then I recommend visiting the thread, "DISCOVERINGTHEWORDOFWISDOM.COM":

The food we were born to eat: John McDougall at TEDxFremont
Excellent, 17-minute Tedx Conference presentation, given in 2012...has 1.6 million views.
What food habits do all great civilizations have in common? John McDougall suggests that starch-based diets are the foods humans were born to eat. He has been studying, writing, and speaking out about the effects of nutrition on disease for over 40 years and is a bestselling author of several titles, including The Starch Solution.

This Book Changed My Life. I've Never Looked Or Felt Better.

Over 1 year ago, I started a regular exercise routine because I was tired of being overweight. After months and months, I lost weight, but still couldn't lose the weight I wanted and STILL felt drained and lethargic throughout the day. I tried modifying my diet and that didn't work. I've tried the Atkins Diet and that was an absolute mess. I felt horrible every day and could barely sleep. One day, my brother linked me to a Ted Talk with Dr McDougall and I heard about the McDougall diet and since I had tried everything, I figured I might as well buy this book and give it a try. After 1-2 weeks, my health drastically improved and I started losing weight like I've never lost before. I now look and feel better than I've ever felt in my life. Whoever knew that rice, potatoes, and beans, the absolute most affordable grocery items were the key to good health? I shake my head at the big corporations trying to lie their way into more profits at the expense of our health.

Almost done watching "What the health" and having both my parents dead from the dieases of meat. Man it is heartbreaking. what actually got me on this journey was going to the dr and he said my cholestrol was high and wanted to prescribe me w/ drugs and not a lifestyle change. That got me looking! I plan on changing my eating habits!

We have "The Starch Solution". We also have this one. It is really good, also. I recommend them both.
...from the comments section on Amazon:

I have lost at least 20 lbs in the last 6 weeks! I threw my scale away years ago so this is an estimate based on my clothes. The weight falls off, it is easy and delicious. I am able to sleep the night through without melatonin. The 3:00pm crash is GONE! I have energy all day long. I cannot believe what a difference eating this way has done for me. I need to go check my cholesterol for the final test. It takes a little willpower at first and some creativity but it is easy to stay motivated because of the amazing results I have seen so far. The recipes are awesome. I HIGHLY recommend this lifestyle change for everyone. I am a 55 year old post-menopausal female who could stand to lose another 10-12 lbs.....if it works for me, it can work for you.

The Game Changers
Phenomenal film
Warning: salty language used in a few instances
In case it disappears off YouTube, it's available on Netflix
Also available on VidAngel, where you can filter out those few instances of salty language
Highly recommend watching it with VidAngel

Is this the lady who wrote a book about being vegetarian or vegan and related it to the word of wisdom?
It's important to eat more vegetables and fruits, but God said that meat and grain is good.
Too MUCH animal product isn't great, like eating 24 oz. Steak every meal, with loads of yogurt, cheeses, and too many pastries.
I try to eat all organic meats and fresh produce.

My diet:
I am fasting every other day for a partial fast until about 3 or 4pm. And other days I'm not fasting I aim for 1500 calories. Helps with spiritual things and losing weight.
I usually have supplements I'm taking but not atm.
I have supplements I'll talking to keep myself safe from coronavirus. Elderberry, nano colloidal siver, vitamin c etc.
Usually I eat eggs in the morning, protein within 30 min of waking up keeps you from dipping and spiking in energy levels throughout the day, and some fruit. And a big glass of water. And alkaline water, add lemon juice.
At least 1/2 a gallon of water a day.

One meal with grains, or something filling like soups.

Snacks of nuts or sweet potato chips or something healthy but less than 200 calories. Sometimes a yogurt.

I try to eat meat maybe 4 or 5 days a week, not every day and not a HUGE amount, unless I'm out at a steakhouse lol like 2-3 sticks of sausages, or 4 pieces of bacon, etc.

And two meals of just fruits and veggies. Including an avocado at least 3 or 4 times a week for good oils.
It has to fill up a BIG plate for the veggies, and a medium sized plate for the fruits. The vegetables are raw. Usually adds up to something like this, one green bell pepper, one carrot, half a cucumber, a few cherry tomatoes, a cup of broccoli, one stalk of celery. Plus ranch. About 4-6servings of veggies per plate. And the fruits something like about one banana, one apple, 4 strawberries per plate. 2-3servings of fruit per plate. This is 2x a day, at least that's the goal.

More berries and herbs would be good.
Fish would be nice to add once or twice a week

There is nothing wrong with eating meat that has been taken care of when it was alive and then used for our consumption.
Even jesus ate cow in the bible with abraham and fish in the bible.

Some people may react differently to different foods, but God has said any man that says meat is bad to eat is not of God.

The original YouTube video I posted was removed, but someone else has since uploaded it. I've changed the embed code to direct you to it. Don't know how long it will be available on YouTube.

96-Year-Old Ditches Medications And Starts Walking After Going Plant-Based
'She cut out meat and dairy and started to eat an abundance of fruits and vegetables. What happened next astonished her doctors'
MARIA CHIORANDOAUG 12, 2020
... "This time last year, Josephine was your typical senior. She was on scores of medication, she was largely sedentary, and her life had just slowed way down.
"And then she moved in with her daughter and her son-in-law both of whom are devout vegans - especially Eric O'Grey who experienced a remarkable health turnaround himself after adopting a plant-based diet.
"So Josephine, when she moves in, she cuts out all of the meat and all of the dairy. She starts to eat an abundance of fruits and vegetables and what happened next astonished her doctors and will inspire millions."
'An extraordinary story'
Speaking about the remarkable transformation, O'Grey said: "It is an extraordinary story. Josephine had been living by herself for the last 30 years after her husband passed away. She'd been very independent but had become a shut-in and become more and more and more reliant upon various different medications for her health [including for diabetes and high blood pressure]."
He added: "So she moved in with us at my wife's urging...she immediately started eating the healthy, whole-food, plant-based things we eat. Five weeks after moving in with us...she went back to her doctor and got tested. She had a full panel of blood work done...her doctor looked at this and he was just blown away.
"Most of her symptoms were normal. She only had slightly elevated glucose still but he went ahead and took her off all of her medications; diabetes, high blood pressure, and everything else. She has now been medication-free for about 11 months and is super happy...She's a completely different person; happy and healthy."...
