Aaaarrrrrggggghhhhh! Need a recommendation for a good pen!
I've been buying BIC pens for years and not had a problem with them bleeding until lately. Now their pens are bleeding all over the place and my journal looks all blotchy and messy. Can anyone recommend a good brand of pens that don't bleed, are not terribly expensive, and are easy to find in most stores?

Yes. Anything that's not so fine that I cut the paper while I'm trying to write. And black ink.commonwealth wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2017, 1:50 pm Click top/cap/roll?

LOL, the keyboard is a weapon of mass destruction - it is a toxic chemical weapon in the wrong hands compared to the pen.... ;)Meili wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2017, 6:18 pmBut is it mightier than the keyboard?Spaced_Out wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2017, 5:58 pm The pen is mightier than the sword, good luck getting/finding a mighty sword.

Pilots are good pens. Maybe not the new ones, all mine are old, and still going. Maybe they made the new ones crappier. You're not gonna buy new ones if you're old ones still work. Good in the short run for pen companies who depend on those who habitually lose pens. Bad for them if their consumer base are those who keep up with their pens, at least long enough to actually wear 'em out.Meili wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2017, 5:24 pmThanks! So when i lose pens (it inevitable), and had to buy more, I had good luck with Bic in the past, I/we got a brand loyalty mindset to overcome. I had always bought Bic.
I bought a non descript pack 5 of pens at Fred's because I needed a pen, and the Bic rack was empty, even in blue. You you might not have those Fred stores, its a southern thing I think. 5 years later, I got two that still works, the other three got lost. I don't have to scribble around on another sheet of paper, shake 'em down or suck in the tip. They just work.
My old piolet still works to, and I think its older than my Fred's pens. So go with piolet unless you can shop at a Fred's. Bics suck nowadays, you can make a bic write in its old age if you're willing to suck on it and shake it up and down, heat ink up with a cigarette lighter. Casual sex with an impotent man is easier than getting an old Bic or a PaperMate to write. Papermate pens make splotches everywhere, even when they're new. Stay away from them.

I've had bad experiences with leaky pens in the past so when I found certain ones that were cheap and didn't bleed, I stuck with them. Unfortunately, the last two packs have bled badly. Time for a change, starting with me being willing to pay a bit more for a good pen.

I'll send you my beloved pink Fred's pen. But if you are in UT, I can t stand behind it's performance in high attitudes areas. If you lived down here, I would G-EAR-RUN-TEE its performance. Your hand would give in before this pen would give out.
And even though its pink on the outside, its black on the inside. Backwards from a colloquial saying we have around here. But I'll leave that for you to google.

sushi_ has several pentel hybrid 0.3 and uni-ball signo 0.38, blue, dark blue and black. used to be sold at 100 yen shops ( like one-dollar stores) a few years ago, but seems they dont have them lately. no wonder, wow, looks like sold in usa for 10s - 20s bucks. so, those were for test-marketing or some.

It might not affect pens. But if I cook some boxed dinner, or a go with cake mix instead of going scratch, they got these high altitude directions.

notice the diff?? sushi_ didnt like that rubber grip part of the 1st one above, doesnt fit for sushi_s relatively small size hand.
if sushi_s memory correct, sushi_s 1st encounter with uniball product/ballpoint-pen(mitsubishi produced) was at y booksore in 80s. and rubber part stuff is relatively new thing.
