Installing Interlocking pavers :)

Post by Kristin82 »

Interlocking pavers most commonly made from cement or concrete tend to simulate the effects of cobblestone pathways. On any patio, walkway, driveway or decking these interlockers can be used.
There are different types of interlocking paver stones in Mississauga stores. One of the major feature of this is that they are an easy self-installation material for the homeowner as well.

DIY installation process can be read in detail in the webpage: http://www.paversearch.com/installing-pavers-menu.htm. I will narrow down the steps here though.
1. Plan or layout the paved area. - The key is to have a graphic idea of your work.
2. Calculate the needed pavers. - Calculate the area of our work space to get the sq. feet of pavers required.
3. Excavate - Dig down the area where the pavers are to be installed.
4. Lay the base material. - Use gravel, limestone, or crushed stone.
5. Place endings - They help keep the pavers in position.
6. Apply sand beddings. - The pavers will be set into there.
7. Lay down the pavers.
8. Fill up joints with sand.

Hope this might come to help for those who seek an idea on how to install the interlocking pavers. I recently did. :)
