I think it could be right before major illness, or lack of food or any of those things so that they are not targeted as Mormons with stuff....

Before all the anarchy stuff occurs would seem prophetic in nature. I hope that is the case.

My in-laws leave for their mission Nov. 2

They will be called home before the beginning of the Judgements period begins in IMO 2011-2012. The martial law will be called probably in 2009 before April.

Wasn't thinking of those events but rather that Moses took the Israelites into the wilderness in early April but perhaps a another major terrorist attack or even multiple attacks will also occur.

They will be called home If the Gov't freezes the Church's assets (say, due to refusing to marry gays in the Temples, after the SC declares gay marriage to be a fundamental right - Heaven forbid). Since the Church is HQ'd in the USA, it would shut it down world-wide. We would rely on the local stakes and our own testimonies to continue operations. Hewiro, yes great point. It hadn't even entered my mind about shuytting Temples down because we won't perform same sex marriages. This happened to us concerning plural marriage and was THE cause for its discontinuence. Was that simply a type and shadow for now?

Brother, IF Bishops got instructions from higher ups, yes they would do that as the saints seem becoming backers of the idea that no matter what an authority says, we do it and that person IF wrong will pay the price in the Judgement Day. FWIW, I think this is simply a spiritual COPOUT and spirtual cowardice. No one except Jesus is PERFECT and infallible.

Absolutely! Especially in Utah where the folks think the two (government & Church) are the same. It's because church leaders and other prominent members also serve in the government.

This is one of the many things I think still need to happen before the end and why I believe true saints will not be spared from the suffering. We know there is a gay supporting people with in the church, and once it is law we will see some very trying and divisive times. If we are looking at the NWO goals we will find that their plan of take over is economic, political and religious. economic is taking place now and will continue. political is well under way, and the religious aspect is picking up. imho When these peices are in place then persecution will become so severe that saints and missionaries (and other Christians who will not comprimise the truth) etc may be targeted worlwide for not giving in to TPTB's demands.
