Dang.....New research released by the Monash University shows that a woman is killed by her ex or current partner almost every week in Australia, and the past fortnight has provided shocking recent cases.
Over the past two weeks, two women have been killed allegedly at the hands of their ex-partners, within 80km of each other in NSW.
The alleged deadly attacks saw one woman strangled to death, and another stabbed to death
In a third incident, police are investigating the death of a woman found dead in an alleyway in Chatswood and believe her death may be domestic-violence related.
A fourth woman is fighting for her life in hospital after her partner allegedly slit her throat in Sydney. Each of the attacks allegedly took place in the women’s homes.

Elizabeth wrote: ↑November 5th, 2017, 4:21 pm Local media is reporting the gunman has been identified as 26-year-old Devin Patrick Kelley, a resident of New Braunfels in San Antonio. Devin joined the US Air Force after graduating New Braunfels High School in 2009. He worked in logistics and supply in the US Air Force until he was dishonorably discharged in 2014 and was court martialed in May 2014.
Kelley was married and Kelley's mother-in-law listed a P.O. box in Sutherland Springs as a mailing address. San Antonio police reportedly raided Kelley's home on Sunday evening.
New calling in church - Armed Guard.lundbaek wrote: ↑November 6th, 2017, 8:46 am I posted this before, but here it goes again: "Back in 1977, when we were living in England, up in the North Riding, a violent convict escaped from a court appearance, took a revolver from a guard, a woman hostage, and a car, and fled. Within a few days he was tracked down on the North Yorkshire Moors, holed up with gun and hostage. When the police got there they had to go door to door asking to borrow shotguns so they could flush the guy out. They shot him dead. I heard a lot about it at work because his last name was the same as mine."

Martin would not say whether the woman’s membership with the church motivated Kelley. “We know that he expressed anger toward his mother-in-law.” Officials also revealed that the youngest victim killed was just 18 months old. Previously, a 5-year-old was thought to be the youngest of the victims, whose ages range up to 77."

"Right after killing 26 people and injuring another 20 inside the First Baptist Church in Sutherland, Texas, Sunday morning — as he was speeding away from the crime scene with two good Samaritans in hot pursuit — Kelley “called his dad. He used a cellphone to tell him he didn’t think he would make it,” Freeman Martin of the Texas Department of Public Safety said during a Monday-morning press conference.Kelley apparently killed himself moments later, officials said. Investigators “found evidence at the scene indicates that the subject may have died form a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Martin said."
