"There is a razor thin line in the world of political correctness that must be abolished, and Donald Trump is taking a step in that direction this week.
According to the thought police of the left’s social justice movement, the only societal factions worth protecting are those that vote democrat. Feminists, minorities, the LGBTQ community, and all manner of millennial groups have all been wined and dined by the left’s incessant progressivism, and are delivering the votes needed for the democrats to stay nearly relevant. What they fail to realize is that this steamroller of semantics and segregation will eventually leave even the most progressive fringe American behind.
One group of Americans whose rights are on the downturn have been religious Americans for whom their faith is a deciding factor in all aspects of their lives.
Religious freedom is a phrase that has been consistently mocked by the left, and used to brand conservative Christians as snake-handling, backwoods Bible thumpers. This inexcusable generalization is no different than the taboo stereotypes that the left love to accuse the nation of abusing, yet, it is allowed to continue unabated to this day.
Now, as Americans of faith are finding themselves persecuted further every day, President Donald Trump has stepped in to put his foot down in the realm of healthcare, where this sort of liberal discrimination can ruin lives.
“The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced Thursday it will create a new division under the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) responsible for investigating complaints filed by workers claiming that their employers have violated their religious rights.
“The changes represent a major shift for the OCR, which in the past has primarily focused on enforcing patient safety and privacy concerns.
“‘No one should be forced to choose between helping sick people and living by one’s deepest moral or religious convictions, and the new division will help guarantee that victims of unlawful discrimination find justice,’ OCR Director Roger Severino said at the announcement ceremony Thursday morning.
“‘We are saying, with the launch of this division, you do not need to shed your religious identity, you do not need to shed your moral convictions to be a part of the public square.'”
Undoubtedly, the left will provide us with some fear-mongering argument that is meant to claim that this makes Trump the bigot in the story, not those who would oppress the religious views of the American faithful.
We mustn’t ever forget the stories of our ancestors in America, both from the Mayflower and the American Revolution, who sought out the obstacles worth hurdling in their own struggles for freedom of religion. It is not often easy, as a person of God, to disagree with your fellow man on issues of this magnitude. That struggle can be long and unnerving, but that is precisely what our faith is for: Persevering."

I think you crossed the line with this post, Joel. Are you competing with Sarah Silverman or something?

And could it be, you are too quick to believe all the dirt you read about on Trump? This post certainly indicates it.

Ken Starr Says Mueller Should Investigate Trump for ‘Lying to the American People’

Ken Starr Says Mueller Should Investigate Trump for ‘Lying to the American People’

Ken Starr, the former independent counsel who investigated Bill Clinton, recently said there’s no apparent evidence that President Donald Trump broke any laws in the Russia probe. Now, he doesn’t seem to be so sure. POTUS ordered the firing of special counsel Robert Mueller last June amid news that Mueller was looking into Trump for a possible obstruction of justice case, according to The New York Times. This contradicts the president’s claim that he never did such a thing.

“I think lying to the American people is a serious issue that has to be explored,” Starr said in Sunday’s episode of This Week. He later added that “I think that is something that Bob Mueller should look at.”

He stops short of saying Trump broke the law, however. Starr appeared on This Week to debate Law&Crime founder Dan Abrams over whether the reported request was illegal. Abrams argued it could support a possible obstruction of justice case if this were part of a pattern of behavior meant to end the investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded in Russian 2016 election interference.

Starr said no, the request was fine because the president only wanted to fire Mueller because he disliked him.

“The president’s power is extremely broad as long as he’s not engaged in discrimination or accepting bribes,” Starr said.

Abrams agreed that Trump could legally order the firing of Mueller, but argued that “that’s not the relevant question here.”

Ken Starr needs to be investigated for the utter screw up of his investigation into the death of deputy White House counsel Vince Foster . . . as well as for other malfeasance.

No one should be surprised to see him inject himself into the DNC/FBI/DOJ insurance policy ploy to oust Trump. He's already proved his worth in this kind of dirty business.

Scoop: Trump team considers nationalizing 5G network

Scoop: Trump team considers nationalizing 5G network

Trump national security officials are considering an unprecedented federal takeover of a portion of the nation’s mobile network to guard against China, according to sensitive documents obtained by Axios.

Why it matters: We’ve got our hands on a PowerPoint deck and a memo — both produced by a senior National Security Council official — which were presented recently to senior officials at other agencies in the Trump administration.

The main points: The documents say America needs a centralized nationwide 5G network within three years. There'll be a fierce debate inside the Trump administration — and an outcry from the industry — over the next 6-8 months over how such a network is built and paid for.

Two options laid out by the documents:

The U.S. government pays for and builds the single network — which would be an unprecedented nationalization of a historically private infrastructure.

An alternative plan where wireless providers build their own 5G networks that compete with one another — though the document says the downside is it could take longer and cost more. It argues that one of the “pros” of that plan is that it would cause “less commercial disruption” to the wireless industry than the government building a network.

Between the lines: A source familiar with the documents' drafting says Option 2 is really no option at all: a single centralized network is what's required to protect America against China and other bad actors.

The source said the internal White House debate will be over whether the U.S. government owns and builds the network or whether the carriers bind together in a consortium to build the network, an idea that would require them to put aside their business models to serve the country's greater good.

Why it matters: Option 1 would lead to federal control of a part of the economy that today is largely controlled by private wireless providers. In the memo, the Trump administration likens it to "the 21st century equivalent of the Eisenhower National Highway System" and says it would create a “new paradigm” for the wireless industry by the end of Trump's current term.

But, but, but: The proposal to nationalize a 5G network also only covers one part of the airwaves; there’d be other spaces where private companies could build.
The PowerPoint presentation says that the U.S. has to build superfast 5G wireless technology quickly because “China has achieved a dominant position in the manufacture and operation of network infrastructure,” and “China is the dominant malicious actor in the Information Domain.” To illustrate the current state of U.S. wireless networks, the PowerPoint uses a picture of a medieval walled city, compared to a future represented by a photo of lower Manhattan.

The best way to do this, the memo argues, is for the government to build a network itself. It would then rent access to carriers like AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. (A source familiar with the document's drafting told Axios this is an "old" draft and a newer version is neutral about whether the U.S. government should build and own it.)

It's a marked shift from the current system where those companies each build their own systems with their own equipment, and with airwaves leased from the federal government.
Nationwide standard: the federal government would also, according to the memo, be able to use the banner of national security to create a federal process for installing the wireless equipment, preventing states and cities from having their own rules for where the equipment could go.

The bigger picture: The memo argues that a strong 5G network is needed in order to create a secure pathway for emerging technologies like self-driving cars and virtual reality — and to combat Chinese threats to America’s economic and cyber security. A PowerPoint slide says the play is the digital counter to China’s One Belt One Road Initiative meant to spread its influence beyond its borders. The documents also fret about China's dominance of Artificial Intelligence, and use that as part of the rationale for this unprecedented proposal.

There’s even a suggestion that America’s work on a secure 5G network could be exported to emerging markets to protect democratic allies against China.

“Eventually,” the memo says, “this effort could help inoculate developing countries against Chinese neo-colonial behavior.”

AI arms race: The memo says China is slowly winning the AI “algorithm battles,” and that “not building the network puts us at a permanent disadvantage to China in the information domain.” There is a real debate to be had over China and AI, but it’s unclear what at all that has to do with a mobile network.

Reality check: The U.S. wireless industry is already working on deploying 5G networks, with AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, for example, investing heavily in this area. The process for setting 5G standards is well underway. Korea has been at the forefront of testing, as have Japan and others. It's not clear a national strategy would yield a 5G network faster or by the memo’s 3-year goal.

Christian pastor: Melania Trump demanded the White House undergo an exorcism after Obama left

Christian pastor: Melania Trump demanded the White House undergo an exorcism after Obama left

Paul Begley hosts a program called The Coming Apocalypse and fancies himself to be a prophet and an expert on “how today’s world events relate to the Holy Bible and the signs of the End Times” — all credentials that require rational people to take his claims with a grain of salt. But that doesn’t mean his musings aren’t sometimes hilariously entertaining.

Last week, Begley appeared on the Weekend Vigilante podcast with Sheila Zilinsky and claimed that First Lady Melania Trump ordered that the White House undergo an exorcism before she moved in.

“When the President allowed 40 pastors to come in to the White House and anoint him with oil and lay their hands and pray on him—seven times he’s done this—that is unheard of,” Begley said. “At least he is humble enough and recognizing that he needs God enough that he keeps bringing them in for the prayer. And I’ve got to say this, it might have started with the First Lady.”

“The first lady, in that five hours when the Obamas and the Trumps went down to the Capitol and Trump was being sworn in as the 45th President of the United States,” he continued. “Melania Trump said to her husband, ‘I’m not going to go into that White House unless it has been completely exorcised.'”

According to Begley, when the Obamas occupied the White House it was filled with “all kinds of idol gods and images and all kinds of artifacts in there that were demonic.”

“Melania said, ‘You’ve got to get all of that out of there and send in some preachers and priests to go in and cleanse the White House or I will not spend on night in it.'”

“During that five hours when they were ripping out carpets and changing drapes,” Begley said, “There were people in there packing up every idol. The only thing that was left, Sheila, was one cross on one wall. They cleansed the White House. They had people in there anointing it with oil and praying everywhere.”
