TOP FBI AGENT IN L.A. PLACED ON LEAVE: Sources say division chief Jim Sheehan is being transferred to Washington after the suicide of his former girlfriend, a colleague.
Los Angeles Times
By Greg Krikorian And Christine Hanley
February 3, 2005

The head of the FBI's criminal division in Los Angeles has been placed on administrative leave pending a reassignment to the bureau's headquarters, law enforcement sources said Wednesday.

The transfer of veteran FBI Special Agent in Charge Jim Sheehan comes amid an internal investigation into the recent suicide of a longtime agent, Wendy Woskoff, with whom Sheehan had been romantically involved until several months ago, sources said.

Woskoff, 54, died of a self-inflicted gunshot Jan. 23 at her Santa Monica home. A 24-year veteran of the FBI, Woskoff was most recently assigned to an intelligence squad in the Los Angeles division.

FBI Agent Commits Suicide in Maine
By Allan Lengel
ticklethewire.com
The FBI wasn’t saying much last week about the suicide of an FBI agent, who shot himself in the Portland, Maine area over the weekend of April 24, according to sources.
FBI agent Greg Comcowich, a spokesman for the Boston FBI Division, which includes Maine, told the ticklethewire.com:
“The type of question which you are inquiring (about)is not something the FBI would comment on.”
Last year, an FBI agent assigned to Quantico committed suicide.

FBI harassed Deputy AG who committed suicide last year
Published: Thursday, March 31, 2011, 3:53 PM Updated: Thursday, March 31, 2011, 4:31 PM
By Bob Martin, Editor & Publisher
A Deputy Alabama Attorney General, who committed suicide last Nov. 5th was being harassed by two FBI agents who mistakenly thought he was trying to help Milton McGregor.
Officials in the AG’s office confirmed that fact and also the tragic self-inflicted death last December after the The Independent submitted questions to them. The agents, both involved in the investigation of McGregor and the current gaming legislation issue, were Keith Baker and John H. McEachern, III.
The Deputy AG, Robert William “Bob” Caviness, was in the process of conducting a background check on an individual with the last name of McEachern, who lived in the Auburn-Opelika area. It was a matter involving worker’s comp fraud.
The Independent was told by the AG’s office that Agents Baker and McEachern became suspicious when they found out through the state’s computer data base that someone in the Attorney General’s office was conducting the search involving McEachern’s name.

Body of Missing Retired FBI Agent Found in Texas: Homicide or Suicide?

The body of a missing retired FBI agent was found in Waller County, Texas late last week near her car, the Waller County News Citizen reported.
The paper said unconfirmed reports indicated Patricia Durney had suffered a bullet wound to the head. It said authorities were trying to determine whether it was a homicide or suicide. Her body was found Thursday, one day after she was reported missing.
A comment from the sheriff’s department made it sound as if they were leaning toward suicide.

Eyes to My Soul: The Rise or Decline of a Black FBI Agent
by Tyrone Powers (Author)

Former FBI Special Agent Tyrone Powers, a veteran of the Maryland State Police, spent nine years as an FBI agent, with postings in Cincinnati and Detroit. He resigned in August 1994.
The picture of the country's top law enforcement agency that emerges from Powers' eloquent prose reveals an organization beset by the same problems of racism that plague the rest of American society. Powers describes sheet-clad students at the FBI Academy impersonating Ku Klux Klansmen. He reports on FBI Agents in Detroit raising funds for white Detroit policemen charged with (and later convicted of) second degree murder in the death of Black motorist Malice Green. White agents on one occasion substituted the face of an ape on the photo of an African American agent's children, displayed on their Black colleague's desk.
White agents, according to Powers' narrative, urinated on photographs of President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore. Powers provides eyewitness evidence of the agency's extralegal harassment of African American mayors Coleman Young (Detroit), Marion Barry (Washington, DC) and Harold Washington (Chicago).
His story parallels similar complaints of harassment voiced in recent years by the Congressional Black Caucus and in the 1960s by Civil Rights workers. The FBI's Counter Intelligence Program of surveillance, disruption and assassinations against the Black movement of the 1960s and 1970s (COINTELPRO), has received wide coverage in recent years.
Former Special Agent Powers grew up in inner city Baltimore and his autobiographical recollections combine the sociologist's insight with the novelist's flair for storytelling. The problems of the inner city are presented in all theirunvarnished starkness. There was drug dealing, violence, gang feuds and incest in the experience of an inner city youth growing to manhood. Some of it was very close to home.

FBI agent guilty of sex abuse

Was bureau's chief of internal affairs

|  February 18, 2004
WASHINGTON -- The former chief internal watchdog at the FBI has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl and has admitted he had a history of molesting other children before he joined the bureau for what became a two-decade career.
John H. Conditt Jr., 53, who retired in 2001, was sentenced last week in Tarrant County Court in Fort Worth to 12 years in prison after he admitted he molested the daughter of two FBI agents after he retired. He acknowledged molesting at least two other girls before he began his law enforcement career, his lawyer said.
Conditt sought treatment for sex offenders after his arrest last year, said his attorney, Toby Goldsmith.

Georgia city settles year-long open records lawsuit
On October 28th, the City of Roswell, Georgia settled a Georgia Open Records Act lawsuit with Appen Media Group. The lawsuit, which had gone on for nearly a year, accused the Roswell Police Department of consistently withholding “vital information about criminal incidents” from release and failing to meet time requirements for supplying records. Initially, Roswell’s attorneys claimed that the city was protected by “the doctrine of sovereign immunity,” which states that the government cannot be sued without its consent. However, Appen launched a GoFundMe, which raised $4,220 and helped sustain the lawsuit.
The settlement agreement, unanimously passed by Roswell’s City Council, involves the city paying Appen $10,500 in attorney’s fees and “a year’s worth of free open records requests.” The settlement also includes the city admitting no liability in the alleged public records wrongdoings.

Buzzfeed’s big week: Mueller probe documents and an overturned GLOMAR
This FOIA round-up would not be complete without discussing arguably the largest FOIA story of the week, which one could argue is either of the big FOIA wins from BuzzFeed News this week.
Reporters there obtained a treasure trove of FBI docs in response to five different FOIA lawsuits. The first installment ordered released by a court featured FBI 302 reports from the Mueller investigation, the summaries of interviews with White House and Trump campaign officials.
Through the materials, BuzzFeed News found Paul Manafort was “pushing the conspiracy theory that Ukraine hacked the DNC as early as 2016” and that, according to Rick Gates, then-candidate Donald Trump, following the DNC hack, told Gates that “more leaks were coming.” Many more revelations were reported by BuzzFeed News, and the documents have led to reporting by many other news outlets.
You can join in on the fun. BuzzFeed News says: “We want your help! If you see something in these memos, you can email reporter Jason Leopold at [email protected] or reach us securely at tips.buzzfeed.com.”
BuzzFeed News reporter Jason Leopold chronicled on Twitter the effort that went into this FOIA release.

No difference between Trump and Biden

Do you want someone on the board of a company connected to the brutal Saudi war in Yemen to serve as the next Secretary of Defense?
President-elect Joe Biden is expected to select notorious war-hawk Michele Flournoy, who supported the wars in Iraq, Libya and Syria when she worked at the Pentagon and is on the board of military IT contractor Booz Allen Hamilton, as his candidate for Secretary of Defense. Contact your Senators right now and tell them: no weapons industry war-hawks in the President’s cabinet!
Flournoy's career has been marked by the unethical spinning of revolving doors between the Pentagon and consulting firms that help businesses procure Pentagon contracts. In 2018, she joined the board of Booz Allen Hamilton, an IT company that played an important role in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s 2015 drive to consolidate power. Booz Allen employs dozens of retired American military personnel to train the Saudi Navy and provide logistics for the Saudi Army. They deny helping the Saudi war in Yemen, and if you believe that...
This is urgent: President-elect Biden could officially select his choice for Secretary of Defense as early as Thanksgiving and we can’t let his foreign policy be dictated by a former Pentagon official who sits on the board of a company connected to MbS and the brutal war in Yemen. Since all cabinet members must be approved by the Senate, we are starting our petition to the Senate NOW to oppose the appointment of Flournoy or any candidate in bed with the military contractors. Contact your Senators now!
It’s true — we probably won’t like anyone appointed to Secretary of Defense. But we must firmly oppose the fundamental conflict of interest that occurs when the official selected to oversee the Defense Department is beholden to the same companies that stand to gain enormous profit under their tenure. We oppose Michele Flournoy and any candidate for Secretary of Defense with ties to revolving doors of the Pentagon because when the military contractors calls the shots, we get:
❌ The sale of even more weapons to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, further fueling those repressive regimes and their war on Yemen
❌ More money wasted on the Pentagon — despite the country being in dire need of resources to combat the pandemic, stop climate change, and guarantee universal healthcare
❌ An escalation of the US’s reckless cold war with China — which could turn into a hot war, endangering millions of people around the globe
❌ More drones, more money for weapons contractors, more violence and more death, at home and abroad.
With this new administration and new progressive voices in Congress — Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman, for example — we have a real chance to prioritize peace over war. We already have efforts in the works to finally end U.S. support for the war on Yemen, slash the Pentagon budget, deescalate the growing conflict with China, and advocate for a New Good Neighbor Policy in Latin America. But these campaigns for peace, especially the work to end the war in Yemen, could be in serious trouble if Michele Flournoy, or anyone who shuffles between the revolving doors of the Pentagon and military contractors, is appointed to lead the Department of Defense. Tell Congress: Americans don’t want someone who has supported the war in Yemen running the U.S. military! Don’t support Michele Flournoy or any candidate with ties to military companies as Secretary of Defense!

Deputy chief constable Nev Kemp’s phone call with Sgt Rachael Johnson was picked up by her device’s audio recorder as they planned a night at a hotel, a source said.

Scientists Share Anthrax Info that FBI Left Out
December 6, 2010

Knowledgeable experts disagree with FBI’s conclusion that the alleged suspect, U.S. Army scientist Bruce Ivins, was the culprit. The FBI made that determination 3 days after Ivins’ death by suicide. The evidence of the case was never presented in a court of law and experts continue to analyze the scientific aspects and FBI’s handling of the investigation.
On November 29, 2010, a group of experts assembled by Kenneth Dillon at Scientia Press and UCLA-based researchers Dr. Peter Katona and Prof. Michael Intriligator, discussed the investigation, the scientific aspects, the lessons learned, and the broader implications of the case.
Experts included Paul Kemp, Dr. Ivins’ attorney,  John Ezzell, a former researcher at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases who hired Ivins, Ross Getman, attorney, Meryl Nass, MD, James VandeVelde, PhD and Leonard Cole, PhD.
A video of the entire proceeding can be purchased from Scientia Press at cost for $12.00.
Dr. Nass’s presentation focused on the myriad of problems with the FBI’s case against Ivins. FBI has failed to demonstrate that Ivins had either means, motive or opportunity to produce and mail the letters.  And Ivins’ death, from a Tylenol overdose, might have been preventable. Ivins overdosed on Tylenol PM on July 26, 2008, and died on July 29. But Nass said, medically speaking, the outcome of his overdose should have been different, given the fact that he was under continuous surveillance and an antidote to Tylenol overdose is very effective if given within 24 hours of a Tylenol ingestion.
The FBI is relying on new scientific techniques that identified a flask of anthrax used by Ivins as providing the parent spores used to produce the anthrax letter spores.  But approximately 400 people had access to the flask, and the spores may have been shared with unknown others.  So regardless of how good the scientific studies are that identify the flask, they fail to identify the person who grew and mailed the spores.
Dr. Nass is a member of the AHRP board of directors.
Below is an article about the gathering of experts in The Frederick News Post.

COVID19: THREE BITS OF SCIENCE THAT CDC, FAUCI AND FDA FORGOT, AND ONE THEY WOULD LIKE TO FORGET
07.14.2020 jameslyonsweiler Cures 9 comments
ONE OF THE MOST FRUSTRATING ASPECTS of how academic science conducts itself in the US is high reliance to SELECTIVE ATTENTION to information that suits one’s particular viewpoint in science. Graduate students writing theses or dissertations are expected to provide a reasonable approximation of a background of the foundations upon which their thesis is built. Somewhere along the way, some scientists have forgotten the ethics of the moral responsibility of providing an unbiased representation of the state of knowledge upon which they base their positions. To seek only confirming instances that match one’s own viewpoint is positivistic – and it is the essential driver of confirmation bias. CDC and Fauci’s reliance of the Selective Attention Bias is monumental is size and historically destructive in scope.
Here I outline a few rather important facts that CDC and Fauci (and thus the rest of public health and most of the US medical system) have forgotten. The result is a public health policy response in the US that is full of … holes, at immense cost to the well-being of society.
When I read headlines like “Scientists discover” X, Y or Z about Coronavirus”, I almost always groan. “We ALREADY KNOW that about coronviruses” is my response, and so off to Pubmed I go.
Here are some things we already know that are being forgotten, or ignored, in public health policy in the US (and elsewhere) on the COVID-19 response.
(1) Coronavirus antibodies don’t last. Based on a non-peer-reviewed study preprint of a King’s College Study that monitored SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels for three months, the media represents this as new because the researchers who have presented the data failed to provide a thorough representation of past studies – and the media failed to pick up on the reality of what we already know. We’ve known that the antibody response to coronaviruses in humans is shorter than that, say, for human rhinoviruses (the common cold) since 1990.
Here’s the study on coronviruses (1990):

What I am seeing happening in the world of Covid now

1.  A case was adjudicated in Weimar, Germany regarding the necessity of pandemic measures (and the actual occurrence of a dangerous pandemic) for children several months ago.  The plaintiffs won, and the Weimar government was ordered to dismantle its lockdown and school-based measures.
Next, the judge was attacked, had electronics seized, was searched and possibly jailed.  This was a couple of months ago.
This week, 14 locations related to 8 people (the judge, another judge who was a friend of the first judge, the expert witnesses, the plaintiff and the plaintiff's partner were all searched and electronics were seized.  The best guess is that the German government is on a fishing expedition to build a case against the judge, witnesses etc. for some illicit behavior.  This is unprecedented lawlessness against the judicial system itself, in an attempt to over turn the first successful legal challenge to the pandemic response.  Very important case.  Consider supporting the defense of those who were attacked.
2.  The paper I wrote about earlier, published last week in the Vaccines journal was retracted, with no methodologic criticism, no inaccuracy alleged, simply because it found that for every 3 lives saved by vaccination, 2 are lost due to adverse reactions to the vaccine.
3.  The CDC's ACIP meeting made clear that CDC intends to begin booster shots in the fall, even without supportive evidence that they are needed or even beneficial.
4.  The Army Times and Navy Times have written that vaccinations for servicemembers will become mandatory in September, after the vaccines are fully licensed. One article claims only 15% of Army soldiers have taken the vaccine.
5.  CDC and FDA have dug their heels in to cover up the adverse reactions and hide the databases they use to determine actual adverse event rates.
6.  It is said that 500 colleges are requiring vaccinations of students and usually of staff as well.  Legal proceedings against these mandates have been threatened at U California, U Connecticut, U Indiana and Rutgers--interestingly, all state universities.
7.  People in Sydney, Australia went out to the parks and open areas yesterday despite instructions to stay home, enjoying the unseasonable warmth without masks. Will Australia's impossible "zero covid" policy remain standing?
8.  Governments appear to be testing the waters regarding what the population will tolerate vis a vis lockdown measures.
9.  The NEW BUSINESS ITEM #33 at the National Education Association’s (NEA) virtual assembly, which called for forced covid testing and vaccination of all students and staff to reopen schools in September, was overwhelmingly defeated. One post on twitter said 81% of the delegates voted no.  It seems the crowd is realizing there is almost no Covid in the US.
10.  Fourteen states offered lotteries up to 1 million dollars to encourage vaccinations.  The NYT reports there was a short burst in vaccinations then it ended, and at least 2 states have given up the lottery plan as it failed to continue to produce the desired increase in vaccinations.
11.  47% of the total US population has been vaccinated.  8% more had just one dose, and most of them stopped after one.  67% of those over 18 have had at least one dose of vaccine; 58% have had both doses.  It looks like this is where the numbers will stay.  I think 40% of US adults are going to remained unvaccinated, or have decided to stop after one dose.  How the government tries to corral this group into taking these dangerous vaccines will be interesting.
12.  In terms of estimating the magnitude of danger, Dr. Charles Hoffe had 900 vaccinated patients, and 10 became significantly ill after, and I think he said 5 became permanently disabled.
13.  The SIEU Nurse's union in the mid-Atlantic states, and the NY Nurses Association have come out against the vaccine mandates, which a number of hospitals have announced will be enforced once Covid vaccines are licensed.
14.  France has threatened to vaccinate everyone from age 24-59, maybe even everyone down to age 12.
15.  Three hundred healthcare workers in Italy have lodged a legal challenge against the requirement that they get vaccinated against coronavirus, according to media reports Saturday.
16.  Strangely, it has suddenly become easier for Americans to travel to many countries in Europe--at the same time that the Vaccien passport was rolled out, July 1.  It was said that there was utter confusion at airports about how to deal with vaccine passports.  It looks like the rollout was too precipitous.  But it is such an inviting concept for the rulers of the world, I doubt it will be shelved for long.

CDC/FDA/NEJM paper on pregnancy vaccinations

I (and several others it seems) failed to take into account the short 2.5 month period during which the data were collected for this study.  That means women vaccinated in their first or second trimester did not have enough time to have a full term pregnancy.  The early miscarriages were logged, but because the study only looked at completed pregnancy outcomes, no full-term births for those inoculated early in pregnancy had time to occur.
