"An unknown perpetrator had taken down the flag at Hurricane High School, which is in the Washington County School District, and replaced it with “what looked like a flag used by ISIS,” police said.

It's astonishing how many of these types of comments are coming the left, especially from high-profile 'celebrities, with many of them directed against Trump. I've never seen anything like it.

Think of where this leads when this faction gains greater political power. I can imagine a kind of 'legal creep', where more and more PC requirements become law, and with more severe penalties being affixed to any infraction of them, as time goes on.

It seems to be very much the same kind of sentiment that created the Soviet Union, with it deadly Gulags, and countless executions.

A guide to Marvel's first black superhero, character and setting", which was pointing the reader to the Weekend & Entertainment section which has a whole section front page devoted to the 'first black superhero'.

Can you imagine the reaction to a new superhero, that flaunted its white racial status? It would likely be horrific.

If white racism against black is bad, black or 'liberal' racism against white is just as bad. How many blacks are aware of slavery among blacks that is still perpetrated in Muslim countries?

74th Anniversary of Executive Order 9066

Today marks the 74th anniversary of Executive Order 9066, which led to the imprisonment of 120,000 Japanese Americans.

More than two-thirds of these people were native born American citizens. They were confined in inland internment camps operated by the military. Abruptly forced to abandon or sell their homes and businesses, many lost everything they owned.

Despite this injustice, thousands of young Japanese American men from the camps volunteered to serve in the nation’s military, where they distinguished themselves with extraordinary valor in combat. The 442nd Regimental Combat Team (RCT), comprised entirely of Japanese Americans, became the most decorated unit in U.S. military history for its size and length of service.

The Supreme Court upheld the President’s Executive order in two wartime cases. But in the 1980s, the United States Congress acknowledged this gross violation of the civil liberties of American citizens and voted to provide some financial compensation to individuals confined in the camps. The Supreme Court also vacated its earlier wartime rulings.

“Some of our policymakers and some people need to — they need to look in the mirror and take some action because ideas are great but without action, ideas stay ideas and children die,” Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School senior David Hogg told CNN’s “New Day.”

Hogg, who is a student journalist, recorded footage of the shooting [and] detailed why he recorded what was happening. “I was really thinking about, ‘What has my impact been? What have any of our impacts been?’ … I thought to myself, ‘If I die today, I want my impact to be — if I die I want to tell a good story,’ ” he said.

He looked directly into the camera as he called on lawmakers: “We’re children. You guys are the adults. You need to take some action and play a role. Work together, come over your politics, and get something done.”Hogg seems to speak for many of our nation’s children. They are protesting in their schools, communities, and even in front of the White House. But the truth is, they are being fed leftist lies about why they are increasingly in danger in their schools. Gun control and so-called “Gun Free Zones” are in no way a means of preventing these tragedies from occurring. In fact, schools, churches, and other community meeting areas that do not allow firearms are the areas most frequently targeted by mass shooters. “The figure originated with Everytown for Gun Safety, a nonprofit, co-founded by Michael Bloomberg, that works to prevent gun violence and is most famous for its running tally of school shootings,” authors John Woodrow Cox and Steven Rich wrote. “Everytown has long inflated its total by including incidents of gunfire that are not really school shootings.” The duo called out liberal politicians and aloof celebrities for pushing the misleading stat and then shamed their journalist colleagues for spreading the fake news.

The Post noted that Everytown invented its own definition of a school shooting to help inflate their total. Just five of Everytown’s 18 school shootings listed for 2018 happened during school hours and resulted in any physical injury.

Another three appeared to be intentional shootings but didn’t hurt anyone. Two more involved guns — one carried by a school police officer and the other by a licensed peace officer who ran a college club — that were unintentionally fired and, again, led to no injuries. At least seven of Everytown’s 18 shootings took place outside normal school hours.

That same media that had spent the last 13 months complaining about the Trump administration’s aversion to telling the truth proved themselves to be hypocrites by pushing a bogus trumped up statistic to aid their anti-gun agenda.

The fact that liberal lobbying groups and news organizations are spreading lies to instill fear in the hearts of our nation’s schoolchildren – and line their pockets – is beyond despicable.The real prevention of these school shootings lies in identifying mentally ill individuals who often exhibit warning signs that go unchecked. Most were shot and many were mutilated alive. Out of the 90,000 Germans who marched into Soviet captivity at Stalingrad, only 5,000 ever returned: 40,000 did not survive the march to the Beketovka camp, where another 42,000 perished of hunger and disease. Those POWs that made it alive to separate camps in Siberia and elsewhere in the western Soviet Union were forced into slave labor and endured frequent beatings, brutal torture, poisoning and execution. Thousands more captured soldiers were executed on the spot and thrown into mass graves. Food and water were always scarce, living barely primitive. The result was an unacceptable rate of death."

"Hypocrisy, thy name is Durbin.
In so many words, that’s the message the Roman Catholic Church is sending to leftist Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois. After the liberal lawmaker voted against a bill to ban late-term abortions as far as five months into a pregnancy, a bishop has reaffirmed that Durbin is not welcome to participate in holy communion.
Durbin is ostensibly a Catholic, but for years has gone against one of the most vital issues of his claimed religion: Protecting the life of unborn children.
“Springfield Bishop Thomas John Paprocki made the announcement last week that Durbin was not permitted to receive communion inside the diocese, which is where Durbin lives, until he repents his sin,” explained The Washington Free Beacon, citing the Catholic news site Aleteia.
"Because his voting record in support of abortion over many years constitutes ‘obstinate persistence in manifest grave sin,’ the determination continues that Sen. Durbin is not to be admitted to Holy Communion until he repents of this sin,” Bishop Paprocki stated.
“This provision is intended not to punish, but to bring about a change of heart,” the church official said.
That communion ban is linked to Congress’s inaction on “The Pain-Capable Unborn Children’s Act,” a bill that would have protected the unborn at a time when evidence shows they can feel pain and viably survive a premature birth.
Durbin’s ban from communion isn’t the first time a liberal senator has been scolded by the church. Senator John Kerry, who also describes himself as a Catholic, received a similar ban in his archdiocese back in 2004.
Around that time, the church issued a detailed statement about its decision, which Bishop Paprocki again cited during his Durbin ruling.
“In our 2004 Statement on Catholics in Political Life, the USCCB said, ‘Failing to protect the lives of innocent and defenseless members of the human race is to sin against justice,'” said Paprocki.
“Those who formulate law therefore have an obligation in conscience to work toward correcting morally defective laws, lest they be guilty of cooperating in evil and in sinning against the common good,” he continued.
Abortion is certainly a controversial issue, and one that has been hotly debated for decades. It will likely continue to be a divisive topic for years to come.
Considering the high number of liberals who have no problem ending the life of an unborn child, it’s sadly unsurprising that Senator Durbin is in that camp. The strange part, however, is that he and other supposed Catholics don’t see the duplicity of following a religion that emphatically protects unborn life.
It’s actually very odd for someone to publicly take a stance that is 180 degrees opposite of their stated religion. Imagine a Christian who declares that Jesus was just a man or a Jew who rejects the Torah; a person is certainly entitled to those views, but it’s disingenuous for them to also claim that they are being faithful to their religion.
Durbin and others like him seem to evoke Christianity when it helps them gain votes in Catholic-heavy areas, but then abandon its teachings with suspicious ease when it comes to actually making laws.
Principles and beliefs are not limp flags that can whip every which way, changing direction with the wind. They’re supposed to be firm, steadfast, and open to change only after years of careful consideration and strong evidence.
In the case of abortion, the evidence is on the side of protecting life, especially in late-term cases when a child is on the edge of viability. Durbin’s hypocritical stance might earn him points among liberals, but he may have a tougher time explaining it to people of faith."

"If you want to avoid the parabens and aluminum found in many deodorants and antiperspirants, try a pinch of baking soda mixed with water instead. This simple paste makes an effective and simple natural deodorant. You can also simply brush some dry baking soda under your arms.

Apply a paste made of baking soda and water to insect bites to help relieve itching. You can also try rubbing the dry powder onto your skin. This is also effective for itchy rashes and poison ivy. Baking soda helps to relieve minor skin irritation and itching by neutralizing toxins and irritants on your skin's surface.2

Most over-the-counter antacids contain some form of bicarbonate. Baking soda works by immediately neutralizing stomach acid, helping to relieve heartburn, indigestion and even ulcer pain. I have personally recommended this to many, including family members, and have been surprised how remarkably effective it is.

Dosing is typically ½ teaspoon fully dissolved in a half a glass of water, taken every two hours (do not take more than seven ½ teaspoons in 24 hours, or three ½ teaspoons if you're over 60).3

This should only be used as an occasional (not chronic) treatment, however, and be careful not to consume excessive amounts, which can cause serious electrolyte and acid/base imbalances.4

Add three tablespoons of baking soda to a tub of warm water for an invigorating foot soak. You can scrub your feet with a baking soda paste for additional exfoliation. A paste made from three parts of baking soda combined with one part water can be used as an exfoliator for your face and body, too. It's natural, inexpensive and gentle enough to use every day.

Baking soda and apple cider make a wonderful spa-like bath for soaking. It also cleans the tub and the drain, as a bonus!
Mix three parts baking soda with one part of water to make a natural hand cleanser that will scrub away dirt and neutralize odours.

Add a tablespoon of baking soda to a small glass of water, then soak the affected area twice a day. Many splinters will come out on their own after a couple of days using this treatment.

Add ½ cup of baking soda to lukewarm bathwater, then soak in the tub for natural relief. When you get out, let your skin air dry, rather than toweling off the excess baking soda, for extra relief. You can also add a mixture of baking soda and water to a cool compress and apply it to the sunburn directly.

Distance runners have long engaged in a practice known as "soda doping" -- or taking baking soda capsules -- before races to enhance performance, a measure that's thought to work similarly to carbohydrate loading. It's also been shown to improve speed among swimmers.5 While I don't suggest you try this at home, it's another example of baking soda benefits. Researchers noted:6

"Essentially, sodium bicarbonate is an alkali substance that increases the pH of the blood. This seems to reduce and offset the acidity produced in the muscles during intense, anaerobic exercise that produces lactic acid most quickly, such as fast running or swimming."

Baking soda has a mild abrasive action that helps to remove plaque and polish, clean, and deodorize your teeth.7 One review of data from five controlled clinical studies found that toothpaste containing baking soda "enhanced plaque removal effectiveness of tooth brushing to a significantly greater extent" than brushing with a non-baking soda toothpaste.

Baking soda also has antibacterial activity and has been found to kill Streptococcus mutans bacteria – a significant contributor to tooth decay.9 For an incredibly effective tooth and gum paste, use a mixture of six parts of baking soda to one part of sea salt.

Place them in a blender and mix for 30 seconds, then place in a container to use. Wet the tip of your index finger and place a small amount of the salt and soda mixture on your gums.

Starting with the upper outside gums and then the inside of the upper, followed by the lower outside of the gums then the lower inside, rub the mixture onto your teeth and gums. Spit out the excess. After 15 minutes rinse your mouth. This mixture is incredibly effective at killing bacteria.10

You need to exert some caution in this area though as many believe baking soda can be too abrasive on your enamel, and Dr. Curatola believes that killing the oral microbiome may be highly counterproductive.

For a natural way to whiten your teeth, crush one ripe strawberry and mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. Spread the mixture onto your teeth and leave on for five minutes. Then brush your teeth and rinse. This method should be used no more than once a week, as excessive use could potentially damage your tooth enamel.

How to Use Baking Soda as a Natural Cleanser
If you find it hard to believe that something as simple and inexpensive as baking soda could really clean your home, consider this: baking soda was used to clean and restore the inner copper walls of the Statute of Liberty during its 1986 restoration. It effectively removed grime without damaging the copper11 – so think it might work around your home, too? Here are some of baking soda's top uses for cleaning:

Baking soda is great to scrub your bath and kitchen with. Put it in a glass grated cheese container with a stainless steel top that has holes in it, and just sprinkle the baking soda on the surfaces and scrub. You may add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to this. Lavender and tea tree oil have potent anti-bacterial qualities.
Baking soda mixed with apple cider vinegar is a bubbly combination that has many uses. As a drain cleaner, sprinkle baking soda down the drain, then add apple cider vinegar and let it bubble for 15 minutes, then rinse with hot water. This is a safer alternative to dangerous drain cleaners.
Soak pots and pans in hot water and baking soda for 15 minutes to easily wipe away baked-on food.

Culture Shock: Italians Aghast as Immigrants Barbecue Dog at Welcome Center

"Animal rights activists are up in arms over attempts to barbecue a dog at an immigrant welcome center in southern Italy, with migrants insisting the practice is normal where they come from.
Members of the Carabinieri, an Italian military police force, intervened immediately after receiving a call from an employee of the center who had witnessed the scene of a 29-year-old Nigerian man intent on roasting a dog at the center in Vibo Valentia, in the Italian region of Calabria.
The man had succeeded in skinning and chopping up the canine and was in the process of grilling it for himself and some friends when he was stopped by law enforcement officers. The young woman who called the police also volunteers at a pro-animal organization in the area.
Explaining to police that such a practice is “normal where we come from,” the migrant insisted that he didn’t kill the dog but had found it dead by the side of the road and had decided to grill it. He also pleaded ignorance of Italian laws forbidding eating cats and dogs.
Police transferred the migrant to a different welcome center, located in the former Hotel Miragolfo in the nearby town of Nicotera.
Among countries of origin, Nigeria accounts for the largest single group of migrants entering Italy at present, with nearly twice as many (15.7 percent) Nigerians entering Italy during 2017 as those from Guinea, the second largest immigrant group by country of provenance (8.4 percent).
