Which conspiracy theories do you think are real?
There are a lot of things I've read about but have not yet decided on. There are some things that are just too outlandish for me. And then there are some things that although I do not have a personal knowledge of, they either ring true or are plain to see by the way things are going. Just out of curiousity, how many of these conspiracies (or other scenarios in the case of callout) do you think are probabably or most likely real?

People don't believe in deep underground military bases as much? I guess cause it is tied to the more fruity members of society. There are little grey aliens down there you know.

I picked top 4 and dumbs. I am pretty sure about them. I don't know if I believe that the chemtrails are for spraying the population (but they could be used for it). I do see that they exist and are way different than contrails. I live in a big say area right now and see them go from Horizon to horizon. Even seen the tic tac toe pattern 2 times!..strange

not knowing the difference yet, i did not distinguish chemtrails/contrails. Another one of those things I need to study more first. The results of the poll sure are interesting though!

Illuminati/NWo is winning with the most votes followed by the 9-11 conspiracy. Very interesting to say the least.

Re: Which conspiracy theories do you think are real?
I think there is a conspiracy to make a one world government where freedom is limited and people are pretty much under the thumb of a bunch of international oligarchs. They may or may not belong to any sort of group. I'm not sure how much stock I take in the villany of some of these groups or of their benign nature. For example, just because someone is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations I don't think makes them a conspirator. I think many people get invited, attend, and become members because of expectation, but rarely go to these meetings or if they do, they multitask other projects during the presentations that are probably similar to the boring PowerPoint techy-talk we get when go to our own company conventions. I think there is a hierarchy of organizations and the closer you get to the top or the leadership, the more involved you are.
I also think the farther back in time you go, the more evidence you have of conspiracy. Jekyl Island and all that this implies is pretty historically accurate. We were misled at the time. The conspiracy with China and Korea to communize those nations is pretty accurate as well. The closer we get to nowadays, judgment ought to be suspended a bit on new conspiracy theories. I'm unsure about FEMA camps, chemtrails, 9-11 stuff, for example. I just don't think there is enough evidence one way or the other.

Very interesting. Those were the two I voted for, although I believe there is probably truth in all of them. Just haven't studied a lot of them...but always interested and open to learning.Kurt wrote:Illuminati/NWo is winning with the most votes followed by the 9-11 conspiracy. I didn't vote for any of them because I don't like getting tied down by theories. And yet, I can't vote for none of the above because there are aspects of all of those that I believe.

Re: Which conspiracy theories do you think are real?
My favorites weren't listed.
I believe there are socialists in the country who are determined to continue to erode our capitalist foundations to redistribute wealth to the poor and lazy (both individuals and companies), whose votes they buy with all the various forms of welfare (individual and corporate). I don't believe they'll stop until they've restricted our economic choices down to nearly zero, which will bring our nation to its knees. Ezra Taft Benson warned us of this very thing.
For the most part though, I believe there are lots of smaller groups of individuals acting to take away the freedoms of others for their own gain. You see this through gun control, trial lawyers, etc.

I don't believe in any theories. President Benson said that there are Conspiracy facts, not theories. When we use that term, we allow the enemies of freedom to define us.
of the above listed, there is only one of them that is a proven Conspiracy fact in my book.

So not quite understanding... if only one of them is a proven Conspiracy fact in your book, what are the others until you study them and judge them to either be fact or fiction? Are they not in the meantime theories? Just wondering how that works.Bircher wrote:I don't believe in any theories. President Benson said that there are Conspiracy facts, not theories. I would agree with you. it woudl also be logical that they would be in both parties as well, favouring neither
if you consider the policies of the last 30-odd years and consider that a Republican had been in power all but 8 of them (clinton), clearly one cannot suggest the republican offering was a protection from their policies
the 10 or so planks of communism are well and truly alive today
im sure Chairman Obama will keep the train running

Underground bases links
I think the goofiness is in linking these to UFOlogy, etc. and of course, "earthpipes".

Re: Which conspiracy theories do you think are real?
Of course there are underground military installations. Anyone remember all the coverage in the Iraq war about Hussein hiding in his underground bases? Nearly every country has them. That's why our military developed 'bunker busters' to destroy them.
Iran has them. China has them. Russia has them. North Korea has them. We have them. The conspiracy theory isn't really whether or not they exist, it's about what's going on in them. In Nazi Germany they had underground weapons factories that were also used for their advanced weapons projects. We probably do the same kind of things.

Re: Which conspiracy theories do you think are real?
I'm surprised to see that I believe none of these are conspiracies. For example, I believe that vaccinations are dangerous, but I don't believe a bunch of humans got together to see if they could destroy health and lives. At the same time, I do think the principle has been, and will be, used against people. I do believe in conspiring men (and women), but I think most of what is orchestrated against us, is orchestrated by devils, using humans as their (largely unwitting) pawns.

Re: Which conspiracy theories do you think are real?
I chose none, but you forgot one, or more accurately one class of conspiracy. It being where companies conspire to keep pushing their poisonous products. Narcotics were in products through much of the 19th century, and it took many dead babies before the practice finally ended.lamanite wrote: βApril 6th, 2009, 11:37 pm There are a lot of things I've read about but have not yet decided on. Tobacco companies were unscrupulous in their quest to slant studies through nefarious means, and now Dr Lustig has recently shown how Big Soda and there cohorts tried to pin stuff on fat that was caused by sugar.
April 6 is when sugar taxes will first apply in the UK and many more lawmakers will soon set things straight.

You are naive.
Look to the financial interest in these things. Not to the nefariousness of them. Look to who stood to gain outrageously with 911. Look at the vaccinations not as a nefarious plot to poison people, but a money making scheme to use governmental power to force people to buy your product, even if the product is negligently prepared and tested, or just plain unsafe.

I live in Alaska and have been up to Fairbanks there is 100% a Large FEMA Camp and its public knowledge here in Alaska. What about HAARP controlling the weather and stuff?

Re: Which conspiracy theories do you think are real?
In all things there are balance good and evil just as Jesus was the Epitome of good Satan was the Epitome of evil. If secret combinations plotted Long ago against the people why can't they now you're naive to believe think it's untrue or impossible. We are LDS we only know good people we don't know the truly evil evil people and the desires of their heart and mind. Think of the best ideas you had ever come up with to help the world why didn't you do it no $$$$. So give these evil men power $$$ and feed their egos any of these conspiracies are totally plausible like really come on guys.

False flag attacks should be an option. I'm not sure if that's the appropriate label for the Vegas shooting but there is some seriously fishy stuff there.

Re: Which conspiracy theories do you think are real?
Actually, I'm not naive. I've studied this stuff for decades. I think I just have a different definition of conspiracy theories than I used to have. I used to believe in grand conspiracies controlling what it isn't possible to control without supernatural help. I do believe that people are looking to get wealth above all else. That would include drug companies, the medical associations, many Churches, secondary schools, and gov't. I also believe there are people looking to get power over others (whether it's for the glee of having control, mixed with getting money from others, or because they honestly believe they're right and the "common man" is stupid). That would include education, gov't,many Churches, and probably many other organizations.David13 wrote: βDecember 28th, 2017, 9:17 am You are naive.

I believe there are conspiracies plotting to take away our freedom, plotting to destroy our very souls. I believe the organizations I mentioned are working for the master mind of those conspiracies. I believe that master mind is either the Devil, or him and his angels.

I remarked that she would be naive if she was unaware of the financial interest in it all. She did express skepticism about these conspiracies. That would indicate to me that she was unaware that they were "in it for the money" rather than any particular evil. The evil is just a side effect, part of the negligence of it.
