I believe that the Church will be persecuted like the times of the early Saints. I see all the Good our leaders and people are doing and I wonder if the Dragon will be jealous. I like John for the "Hidden Servent" Those are some of my speculative thoughts.
I believe it too. Not everyone will think anything more of these signs than what science tells them they mean. Certainly there will be even greater signs than these. We are commanded to watch. So I am watching.

I do not intend to argue with you. I will however, at this time, defend myself against your charges. It isn't close minded to reject untruth and embrace truth. Believing things without the witness of the Holy Spirit leads to superstition. The honest in heart are never blind to the truth because it is the Spirit that teaches them. Any who were honest in heart would not be kept from knowing Jesus or Joseph, just because they reject superstition or false prophesy.

For the record I hope the spirit is given to me every time I read and ponder the Scriptures. I don't claim to be an expert at anything. I like to bounce ideas off other people who read the scriptures. I joined this Forum to seek ideas and feel for myself what is right and wrong. I appreciate everyone who has chimed in on this subject and hope to be apart of other meaningful topics.

I appreciate reading people's posts about their theories. I don't take anything as fact, but these posts open my eyes to different theories I hadn't considered before.

I have been focusing my study on uncovering the mysteries of eternal progression, and those mysteries have shined a light on new ways to look at some of these prophesied events for me personally. I'd love to discuss them here wouldn't you? It sure would be nice to discuss the endless depths and possibilities of the scriptures and prophecies in the scriptures without attempts at being shut down "because it's dangerous." Wouldn't it be nice to discuss possibilities and even discuss predictions without someone warning us how dangerous it is

It seems there my be a ladder that Angels go up and down after all. :)

You did me a favor so, I did a little searching on your progression topic as a way to say thanks. When I shook the tree this is the other fruit that fell out.
PS
I really enjoyed Val Brinkerhof 2017 Signs Video, the link from your blog.

So too, the adversary is scattered through-out the world, and will lodge war on all fronts. Hence the missionaries will be called home.

The NFL is too proud to salute the nation founded by God that have them the freedom to make themselves rich by playing a game with a pigskin ball. Benotdeceived has said he believes 7 years of prosperity is beginning. Might could be. 7 years of tribulation seems more fitting.
I was hoping for your opinion.

The title of my thread Behold, I have forewarned you ... was chosen, based on my mistaken belief that it was a direct quote.

Just now I googled a sentence fragment from the opening paragraph, only to discover the quoted author made a grammatical error. (Hebrew Scriptures all establish a biblical principal of a period of preparation) was the words I searched, and google lit-up "principal" as grammatically incorrect.

That search result wasn't very interesting, so next query was "period of preparation".

Oftentimes, I'll first search a phrase, then append (lds), to my query and compare the difference. In this case "period of preparation" alone, had a majority of lds source material in the top 5.

Themes. 1. The years 1823 to 1829 were a significant period of personal preparation for Joseph Smith.
2. Moroni played an important role in tutoring and disciplining Joseph Smith in spiritual matters during these years.

A Period of Preparation. Who persuaded Josiah Stowell to stop his pursuit at the mine? If you were Joseph and Emma's parents, why would you be disappointed? Where was the location of the plates on Hill Cumorah?
7 good years, followed by 7 good years is one well known example of this pattern. My experiment was to identify the beginning of said pattern. This was all before I was aware of any crossing of the moon shadow, that now in hindsight aligns perfectly, with when a period of prosperity may be known to have begun.

The second eclipse occurs at the seven year mark, so may indicate the conclusion of said period of preparation/prosperity.

Interesting that a Christian minister/author used terms so steeped in LDS theology. Despite its many errors, the cited book has proven of great worth, when viewed in proper context, and adjusted as described in subsequent threads.

Two major hurricanes stuck during the 40 days leading up to September 23rd. At one time, the damages from Harvey were being estimated, while Irma was forecast to hit Florida. Similarly GDP growth for Q2 was being estimated, while financial data for Q3 was being forecast.

It would be interesting to do a time plot, to better see how these events unfolded.

In order to understand the scriptures you must first learn the language of the prophets, as taught by Joseph Smith. This site will help mormonprophecy.com. He uses no fear porn and is only committed to the education of the saints, and the correct translation of the scriptures.
