The End of The Times of The Gentiles: What will Happen?

And in D&C 45 verses 28-31 & 33 it says,
28 And when the times of the Gentiles is come in, a light shall break forth among them that sit in darkness, and it shall be the fulness of my gospel;
29 But they receive it not; for they perceive not the light, and they turn their hearts from me because of the precepts of men.
30 And in that generation shall the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
31 And there shall be men standing in that generation, that shall not pass until they shall see an overflowing scourge; for a desolating sickness shall cover the land.
(33) And there shall be earthquakes also in divers places, and many desolations; yet men will harden their hearts against me, and they will take up the sword, one against another, and they will kill one another.

Then it goes on telling how Christ’s righteous people will ‘stand in holy places and be not moved’ etc. This could mean that the righteous will be protected in their own homes. I have every reason to think that when the Times of The Gentiles end, everything will collapse. The church is preparing the faithful saints for the end of the Fullness of The Gentiles with their programs, declarations, and so forth. When the TOTG ends, that’s when the GREAT CALAMITIES foretold by the prophets would happen.

It also seems like the 2nd Civil War would begin. Imagine almost every single bad thing that would happen to Earth and especially America in one day (except the plagues of Revelation). That is the day of the end of The Times of The Gentiles.

Verse 31 says that there will be a ‘desolating scourge’ which means that a plague will spread out (probably killing almost everyone in North & South America.) I have good reasoning that this is when some of the Saints go to the Rocky Mountains to escape the natural disasters in populated areas. The economic collapse will most likely happen on the same day that will cause riots and so forth.

Everything we are being taught in our meeting houses is preparing us for that one day when the Lord sends his sword upon the inhabitants of the Earth. I believe that this is not far off, about 13-17 years.

What are your opinions on this?

I don't believe your 13-17 year timeline. I believe that all the pieces are in play on the board and Heavenly Father will make the move that puts the world in checkmate as soon as He decides. I believe that we are really close to ripe in iniquity, and my reading of Ether over the last week convinces me that we are ripe enough for this to happen before the end of July 2017.

When will it happen? Maybe tomorrow, maybe 20 years from now. But I'm going to go with tomorrow because that way I'm not going to postpone preparing myself temporally or spiritually. And each day I will be able to be thankful it didn't happen today. I will live more when I am not confident that I have a decade or more to do what I want to do in life.

Interestingly, Gileadi in his apocaliptic commentary on Isaiah 20, states that Latter Day Servant will give 3 year warning before 'Assyria's' invasion of 'Egypt'. No such warning has been given therefore 'Egypt' still has at least 3 years plus to mend its ways...

I believed that too, but I now suspect that it is a mark to indicate a certain nearness of the Lord’s coming or the end of the Times of The Gentiles

Pretty awful scenario if you ask me. But when the economic collapse gets underway, we will have extreme hatred levied against what is decent as a target scapegoat of direction from TPTB. We will likely also see a major shift in Church membership towards the poor and impoverished, who will get the most hurt as well. We will likely see an acceleration toward the destruction comparable to what happened in the Americas when Christ died, only it will be global instead of more localized in reach. I see it as possible, given how everything is ramping up, in 10 years or less.

You are about right with the 10 years time frame. Could be a little longer though. It will be scary given that the whole world will end up like this!

I believe the only Saints that will be in the Rocky Mountains are the ones that live there. Most Members will be around their Stakes where they live and attending church. I have a hard time believing anyone will run anywhere near Utah, as it will be the first to be destroyed. Most Saints will be wicked (wicked in the sense that they accepted Socialism and the loss of freedoms). I think 30 years minimum.

I dont believe there will be any hiding places, Rocky Mountains, bunkers, whatever. The only way you will survive, besides luck I guess, is having a pure heart and still then survival is not a guarantee.

There have been many things said about the "End Times" etc but the fact that what is happening on the 23rd September and that John recorded it in Revelation 12 means something big is coming our way. We live in the times where Prophecy is going to happen. We all need to make sure we have got our act together as time is running out fast. No more procrastination people!! Get in the Boat!!
