What's really disappointing is the anti gun sentiment prevalent in "conservative" Utah legislators/governor

IMO, if the FedGov wanted LDS people to give up their guns they could force the LDS Church First Presidency to tell members to give up their guns, under threat of FedGov actions that would interfere with missionary and building programs. I doubt any state government has the clout to do that.

States have passed constitutional carry. Arizona just did so recently actually. This is an easy issue.
