Ben Carson, Remember Him?

Postby Silver » Wed Dec 06, 2017 7:49 am

Now that all the housing markets everywhere have achieved a Nirvanic state of perfect equilibrium, and there are no more homeless people on the streets, and home prices throughout the country are directly related to the purchasing power of all interested buyers, maybe now, ol' Ben Carson can resign from his position as United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Maybe now we can shut that agency down, it having fulfilled its glorious purposes. Maybe now we can determine our own futures and have free utilization of our own resources.

Y'all get it now? Has your recency/normalcy bias caused you to simply overlook that an unconstitutional agency exists in the federal government and is staffed by thousands of fellow citizens who legally plunder our wealth and reduce our freedoms? Campaign promises (read: lies by the Marmalade) notwithstanding, the feds have more control over our lives and pocketbooks, not less, since the coronation.

Ol' Ben stays out of the news and we just ignore that his position was payoff for supporting His Royal Orangeness during the 2016 campaign. Sackcloth and ashes are the future of America and her people. Same as it ever was.

Americans love socialism.
From Wikipedia:
"The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (Commonly known as HUD) is a Cabinet department in the Executive branch of the United States federal government. Although its beginnings were in the House and Home Financing Agency, it was founded as a Cabinet department in 1965, as part of the "Great Society" program of President Lyndon Johnson, to develop and execute policies on housing and metropolises."

Are you saying that you wished to live in the days of Mormon and Moroni?

Think how clean the water was. Everything was organic grown. Sounds nice.

I remember liking him more than Trump... Not that I liked him all that much. I'm more of a Ron Paul meets Scwarzenegger kinda guy.

Although in all seriousness... We don't really live under the Constitution anymore. It's something we waved goodbye to LONG ago. People in our country just like to think we uphold the constitution because it makes them feel all good inside to not be worried about the horrible and despicable situation that we are under with secret combinations (in the plural) having infiltrated every arm of our government.

And about that water Ezra... Make sure you are upstream from your neighbors :)

There are no more deserts to flee to, and all of the islands have been claimed. So like it or not your fate is tied to the people around you. Posting on a message board won't change that, nor will pretending it is 1776.

Fortunately, the teachings of Jesus found in the new testament are rich in counsel for people who feel they are living under an oppressive government.
Never dismiss a generous thought.

You have that right! However, I'm beginning to think we may as well actually stop talking to 'real' people - even in the Church, bless their hearts.

Everyone is playing with a 'device'. I know they are handy for finding the best way to trespass on someone's property when you see a deer you just have to have, not to mention finding how to field butcher that deer when you're 2 miles from an accessible road.

The same day I was called to be Ward Librarian a few weeks back, the regional LDS building coordinator came into our VERY bare library to tell me the area would be turned into a classroom since there wasn't anything in libraries anymore that people can't access on their devices. So...my 'job' is obsolete already?!

We had a Teacher Council meeting in which we were taught how to connect one's device to a 'smart tv' as a teaching aide. Even Primary pictures can be called up on your tablet. No longer a need for those bulky pictures.

I did ask, "What if a member cannot afford a smart phone?" I received NO answer.

In Gospel Doctrine last Sunday, I took my 1962 revised copy of D&C Commentary with historical background for each Section, being printed under the direction of Joseph Fielding Smith, from my scripture bag. The Bishop's wife was sitting next to me. "What is that book," she asked. "It looks very old!"

Talk about being alone in the wilderness. May as well just talk to God, isn't it?

I didn't realize having a smart phone with an ability to access photo's and manuals makes a person not real.

And a book from 1962 is old :geek:
This imminent stuff is taking for-freaking-ever...

Did I say anything about 'a person NOT being real' who has a smart phone?

Maybe intolerant of those who don't...

I guess I'm just not sure how this technology tops the LORD's way of communicating...

Helaman 10
16 But behold, the power of God was with him, and they could not take him to cast him into prison, for he was taken by the Spirit and conveyed away out of the midst of them.

17 And it came to pass that thus he did go forth in the Spirit, from multitude to multitude, declaring the word of God, even until he had declared it unto them all, or sent it forth among all the people.

It seems to me, that most everyone is distracted by 'the technology'.

Maybe that's one reason government agencies and elected officials are spinning in circles.
