It'll do you very little good to try to learn about Islam here. We have all had differing degrees of interactions with Muslims, from close personal relationships to sensationalistic media hype only. I can certainly tell you about good friends I've had who are Muslims, who pray and fast and try to do all manner of good. I can also tell you about Muslim Imams I've heard explaining that all Muslims need to do good in order to sway all people to their extremist beliefs so that they can increase their army size to be more effective at killing all of those who refuse Islam. Certainly some Muslims see it as their sacred duty to rape women who refuse to submit to Allah or kill men who won't join them (I know this, I've heard them) and some who are very gentle and loving souls trying to make the world a better place. Muslims I've been friends with despise the violent ones, but there is a lot of hate on both sides.MMbelieve wrote: ↑July 26th, 2017, 4:53 pm I attempt to clear confusion here because it is something I am interested in reading about as I haven't studied Islam very much...but we need to get over the little misunderstanding first.
Well, I'm interested in how Islam opposes the 10 commandments. The religions do seem similar in many ways.
You can't learn about Islam from Mormons, at least not very much. Learn it from Muslims. Both the good and the bad. (Do the same with Mormons.)
