Akkadian idmar-ra-tum = Book of Mormon Irreantum

Post by EdGoble »

I've been pretty busy with holidays, work and writing a paper for publication in a journal, as I said I was taking a break for quite a while. But I found something extremely significant just by chance:

The Akkadian word Idmar-ra-tum is obviously Irreantum from the book of Mormon:

Pass it along.

Thanks.

Excellent find! The timing and locale are matches. I'm not sure if "obviously" can be applied in this case, but I think the connection is 99+% certain. LOL.

The author at this link
( https://www.sil.org/system/files/reapda ... esis_1.pdf ) says the map may be 5th century BCE, but that the topography is based on an understanding that was 1000 years or more old by the time the map was carved into stone.

More on irreantum here:

Does the map really show Japan, the place of the rising sun?

Good luck on your paper.
