Revelation for the Church comes through the prophet. There is safety in following the prophet.It is proposed that we sustain Thomas Spencer Monson as prophet, seer, and revelator and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Henry Bennion Eyring as First Counselor in the First Presidency; and Dieter Friedrich Uchtdorf as Second Counselor in the First Presidency.

We must listen to the voice of the Lord in the words of the prophets, the scriptures and the Holy Ghost.Mosiah 4:7-8
7 I say, that this is the man who receiveth salvation, through the atonement which was prepared from the foundation of the world for all mankind, which ever were since the fall of Adam, or who are, or who ever shall be, even unto the end of the world.
8 And this is the means whereby salvation cometh. And there is none other salvation save this which hath been spoken of; neither are there any conditions whereby man can be saved except the conditions which I have told you.
When we seek to find the Father's will outside of his approved sources (prophet, scriptures, Spirit) we will be deceived. Secondary sources like commentaries, books, even compilations of quotes from true sources are NOT primary sources and may be taken out of context. If we listen to other voices long enough, they will become familiar to us and we will begin to mistake them for the Lords true voice.Doctrine and Covenants 1:38-39
38 What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.
