I looked in my Book of Mormon index under "word of god" and then under "scripture". The word of god reference does not say "see also: scripture". Yet, it seems to me in the church that we always use the phrase, "word of god" to mean either the scriptures or a general conference address. As in, "We believe the bible to be the word of god..."
Do yourself a favor and read all the Word of God references in the index of the Book of Mormon and try to nail down what the term really means. It means dispensing truth, in the vaguest sense. But that's too vague for me.
