SEARCH
Why is it that the search engine within the forum does not result in headings being shown? For instance, when I type in 666, a no results phrase appears. Yet I can go through my list of posts and find it. http://www.ldsfreedomforum.com/viewtopi ... =1&t=11909" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Also, in one of my posts where I stated that that particular post was my 666th post, I wanted to be able to go back and find it. I can't. I even tried six six six with no results.
Is there a way to search any one post, using key words or numbers, without having to go through a long, extensive list?

Apparently this topic has been hashed over many times on this forum. Perhaps you're right. I'm just not a superstitious type.Juliette wrote:Ummmm, 666 is evil. Maybe thats why you get no results. Have you tried using the "site" parameter in Google?

That's what I do, but I didn't know you could put the site last. I always put it first. Works both ways. Interesting.

Re: SEARCH
New issue, I think!
When searching for something, why can't a search be made with an exact wording format? Instead of getting a multitude of posts that have one or two selected words, have a way of acquiring an exact phrase, like as an example, "Captain Moroni seeks for freedom," This way a whole lot less of posts would come up, allowing for the search to be less frustrating.

Not too long ago, someone posted a topic with Alex Jones interviewing Skousen. In the video were places in the country that were safe and also unsafe with easy access to highways, bugouts, etc. Please help me find the post. Thanks!

Re: SEARCH
One of the pages of the book in the video shows the US map with key nuclear threat locations. There are countless places in the US targeted. Who on earth has that many nukes pointed at these locations?

Safe from what? Earthquakes? Fallout? Tempests? The ground beneath you not being rearranged? Fiery hailstones from the sky? A nearby volcano? Civil unrest? Let alone all the evil deeds man can devise. Help me understand this one.HeirofNumenor wrote:Not sure of the post, but here is the Alex Jones link with Video interview with Joel Skousen explaining his book & concepts of strategic relocation:coachmarc wrote:Not too long ago, someone posted a topic with Alex Jones interviewing Skousen. Re: SEARCH
I realize we're never truly safe temporally. I am also keenly aware of where the Lord wants me to be. I hope we all are. That said, it is my desire to be prepared to the best of my ability for as many scenarios as possible. If I'm going to be stuck in my basement, in the woods, wherever. If a nuke hits, it hits. If an earthquake hits, it hits. But if all of it misses me and I am not prepared to survive the aftermath, well then I really am a schmuck.

Nearly all of the above (likelihood of various disasters/Federal gov't draconian restrictions compared with economic realities/work necessities)....as well as the various routes one would take if fleeing a major city...as well as to avoid both the mobs and the masses leaving...
The areas that tend to score the highest in North America...the High Uintah's through the Wasatch Plateau in Sanpete County, down the middle of Utah to about Duck Creek.

Re: SEARCH
I owe you an apology. It is wonderful to dream of a place where we can feel safe and secure. We all desire our own space free of turmoil and strife. I admit that I'm not stable enough to be able to withstand the upcoming disasters awaiting mankind. I have many times dreamed of being in an area where none of these horrific events could touch me. But, for the life of me, I can't come up with one.coachmarc wrote:I realize we're never truly safe temporally. I am also keenly aware of where the Lord wants me to be. I hope we all are. I live in an area where there are volcanoes. My home sits right on top of a huge fault. I live close to the sea and the possibility of a tsunami wiping my wife and I out. I'm sick and tired of all the wickedness all around. Oregon is a liberal state. It seems porn shops are as plentiful as gas stations. There are more people here that would re-elect Obama than I can fathom.
I love the beauty, the awe and majesty of God's creation. The greenery, the blue sky and such. I can't stand the thought of seeing destruction and plagues all around, blackened skies and people going after each other like mad dogs. Like many I have experienced ugliness that can and does exist in life, I really don't want to see more.
You've a right to dream and hope and I want you to have all you desire.

Re: SEARCH
No worries, brother. I'm not really afraid of what is coming. I just want to not starve or see others around me starve or freeze to death, etc who might survive whatever befalls us. It's that preparedness and bearing one another's burden thing. I think it would be hardest on those with children, especially small children who will look to their parents for safety and their next meal. My wife and I are empty nesters now so that much I am thankful not to have to worry about.
p.s. I've been through parts of Oregon, especially the coast. Beautiful area.

Re: SEARCH
I'm originally from Salt Lake. Had to move in 1993 due to my company permanently transferring some employees to other parts of the country. I ended up in Los Angeles with several others. At the time I had over 22 years of service and couldn't just throw them away. When I had over thirty years of service I requested a permanent transfer to Portland (at my own expense) and got it. Then I retired with 31 years (couldn't take anymore crap from the company) and have been here ever since.coachmarc wrote:No worries, brother. I'm not really afraid of what is coming. What I don't like is all the rain, rain, rain, rain, etc. It reminds me of my Vietnam days. However, there is much beauty here in the summer months. In a park called "Willamette ( will-am-ette) Mission Park" there is the largest Black Cottonwood tree in the country. Has a 27 foot circumference at its base. Silver Springs is a nice place to visit having ten falls to see along a trail. Northward is the "Multnomah Falls" along I-84 next to the Columbia River. Then there is "Mt Hood" where one can ski in the winter or hike in the summer. Close by is a train ride for visitors. Dinner is served and on occasion they have a staged train robbery. On the coast is "Cannon Beach" and "Astoria" where scenes from "The Goonies" were shot. As well as "Kindergarten Cop."
Southward is "Florence" where some of the best dune buggy rides are in the nation. There are many lighthouses along the coast for those that like to see them, a cheese factory, "Depoe Bay" the smallest active port in the world, a Sea Lion Cave and much, much more. There are caves and Redwood forests as well. "Crater Lake" and some Obsidian beds in south central Oregon. Then there is the "Oregon Mystery Vortex" where strange magnetic occurrences trick the eye.
I'm turning 65 next month so I hope I'll be able to enjoy all these things for a long time coming.
