Since when did the Constitution mean anything to Obama or Congress anyway? Some unprecedented news, folks. Never in the history of the United Nations has a U.S. President taken the chairmanship of the powerful (yet highly corrupt) UN Security Council. Perhaps it is because of what could arguably be a Constitutional prohibition against doing so. To wit: Section 9 of the Constitution says:
No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

Re: Obama to chair U.N. 'security council'
So, to hell with the Constitution...right in our face! UN has been around since 1946 right?
Don't matter who POTUS is, this is inappropriate and unconstitutional, even if he is only presiding over this one meeting. It goes against every drop of blood shed for and since the founding of this great nation.
WE ARE a SOVEREIGN PEOPLE! The UN goes against everything we stand for and undermines our liberties. FDR did a similar thing when he joined the US as a member of the communistic ILO "International Labor Organization" in the early thirty's.
