Fiji

Has anyone been to Fiji? I’m curious about the native culture. I’m thinking it would be a nice place to visit.

I’m wondering how the locals are. If there is much crime and so on.

I have heard that Polynesian people in general are really inviting and try to make you feel welcome and involved. I have a good friend who married a gal from Tonga and she is awesome. But I also read that Fiji is a mix of Polynesian and Malaysian. So I was curious if the locals were more like Polynesian culture or how it was different?
