Our Christmas Day has been hot... has been a beautiful day.

For most of my life, I took Christmas as most - the celebration of Christ’s birth. Relatively recently, I’ve reconsidered. Jesus doesn’t seem the type to tell of his birth just so we could worship or celebrate it. “Without a parable spake he not unto them.” Among other things, the story of Christ’s birth represents being physically born, & spiritually born again, the sacredness of motherhood, enlightenment (the star), watching our thoughts (shepherd watching sheep), and truth found in diverse places - including wisdom & spiritual riches from the East.

Still, I appreciate the spirit of Christmas, even when the deeper symbolism isn’t realized. It’s the one time of the year when so many are actively trying to love one another & that’s beautiful!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!
