What is a song if you cannot related to the lyrics and the music? The lyrics are to thoughts as the music is to emotions.

"Brothers in Arms" (One should ask, "What kind of arms?")

These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Some day you'll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn
To be brothers in arms

Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
I've witnessed your suffering
As the battles raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms

There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Now the sun's gone to hell
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We're fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

Who is my Father and who is your Father; My God and yours?

(Electric Harp Rendition)

"My Father's Eyes"

Sailing down behind the sun,
Waiting for my prince to come.
Praying for the healing rain
To restore my soul again.

Just a toerag on the run.
How did I get here?
What have I done?
When will all my hopes arise?
How will I know him?
When I look in my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
When I look in my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.

Then the light begins to shine
And I hear those ancient lullabies.
And as I watch this seedling grow,
Feel my heart start to overflow.

Where do I find the words to say?
How do I teach him?
What do we play?
Bit by bit, I've realized
That's when I need them,
That's when I need my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
That's when I need my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.

Then the jagged edge appears
Through the distant clouds of tears.
I'm like a bridge that was washed away;
My foundations were made of clay.

As my soul slides down to die.
How could I lose him?
What did I try?
Bit by bit, I've realized
That he was here with me;
I looked into my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
I looked into my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.

My father's eyes.
My father's eyes.
I looked into my father's eyes.
My father's eyes.

I don't understand why one has to beg and plead for others to listen to what is in their hearts. I would hope that there are those who would repeat the journey with me - in listening to the three previous songs and lyrics. Listen to them until you "feel" it and "understand" the messages. We've got to turn things around or we are going to loose it all. Its time to wake up and face the music.

Lost love, anyone? Here is Ossian - I Will Set My Ship in Order. It's the sea images that really deepen it:

Oh I will set my ship in order
I will sail her on the sea
I'll go far over yonder border
To see if my love minds on me

And he sailed east and he sailed west
He sailed far, far seeking land
Until he came to his true love's window
And he knocked loud and would be in

"Oh who is that at my bedroom window?
Who knocks so loud and would be in?"
"'Tis I, 'tis I, your ain true lover
And I am drenched untae my skin

So go and go and ask your faither
And see if he'll let you marry me
If he says no, come back and tell me
And it's the last time I'll trouble thee"

"My father's in his chamber writing
Setting down his merchandise
And in his hand he holds a letter
And it speaks much in your dispraise

My mother's in her chamber sleeping
And words of love she will not hear
So you may go and court another
And whisper softly in her ear"

Then she arose, put on her clothing
It was to let her true love in
But e're she had the door unlockit
His ship was sailing on the main

"Come back, come back, my ain dear Johnny
Come back, come back and marry me"
"How can I come back and marry you, love?
Our ship is sailing on the sea"

The fish may fly, and the seas run dry
The rocks may melt doon wi' the sun
And the working man may forget his labor
Before that my love returns again

She's turned herself right roun' about
She's flung herself intae the sea
Farewell for aye, my ain dear Johnny
Ye'll ne'er hae tae come back to me

We All Bleed Red

Let's say were sorry,
Before it's too late,
Give forgiveness a chance
Turn the anger into water
Let it slip through our hands

We all bleed red,
We all taste rain,
All fall down,
Lose our way,
We all say words we regret,
We all cry tears, we all bleed red

If we're fighting, we're both losing,
We're just wasting our time
Because my scars,
They are your scars and your world is mine

You and I, we all bleed red,
We all taste rain, all fall down, lose our way
We all say words, we regret,
We all cry tears, we all bleed red

Sometimes we're strong, sometimes we're weak,
Sometimes we're hurt and it cuts deep
We live this life, breath to breath,
We're all the same, we all bleed red

Let's say we're sorry' before its too late

We all bleed red,
All taste rain, all fall down, lose our way
We all say words, we regret,
We all cry tears, all bleed red

Sometimes we're strong, sometimes we're weak,
Sometimes we're hurt and it cuts deep
We live this life, breath to breath,
We're all the same, we all bleed red

All wars and conflicts need to cease. Fathers and sons; Mothers and daughters need to return home to their families. The News Medias need to cease broadcasting heinous acts into family homes - permitting this to continue does two things: 1.) Instills fear, blood, and horror in the minds of the innocent and 2.) gives impetus for such depravity to continue. We invite what we focus on. Such invitations of "sensationalism" and "voyeurism" into evil; control; and lust are defiling this world and need to cease.

Pay particular attention to the first verse of the foregoing song: "We All Bleed Red"

Let's say were sorry,
Before it's too late,
Give forgiveness a chance
Turn the anger into water
Let it slip through our hands

I am concerned that if we don't turn the anger into water that the water will turn into anger and won't slip through our hands. What does that mean? You decide.

Amen to that.

Gryphon's 1973 album, no words to it, just 4 long instrumentals...Very medieval style...

KISS is at least half composed of Jewish members. I think The Beastie Boys are Jewish. David Lee Roth is Jewish as well.

A little Glen Campbell for memories sake. I wouldn't be surprised if he passes away this year. Alzheimer's hit him pretty hard.
I like this sped-up version (compared to the original) with his guitar solo. He was a master guitarist.

Tell it all brother, before we fall
Tell it all brothers and sisters
Tell it all

How much you're holding back on me
When you say you're giving all?
And in the dungeons of your mind
Who you got chained to the wall?

Tell it all brother, before we fall
Tell it all brothers and sisters
Tell it all

Did you plant your feet on higher ground
To avoid life's mud and stone?
Did you ever kick a good man
When he was down, just to make yourself feel strong?

Oh, tell it all brother, before we fall
Tell it all brothers and sisters
Tell it all

Tomorrow just might be too late
Now is the time
To get your jumbled mind straight
And seek a new design

Did you ever walk for a crippled man
Pretending you were lame?
And what made you think one feeble hand to God
Was gonna make Him call your name?

Tell it all brother, before we fall
Tell it all brothers and sisters
Tell

Tell it all brother, before we fall
Tell it all brothers and sisters
Tell

Tell it all brother, before we fall
Tell it all brothers and sisters
Tell

Ephesians 5:

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Respectfully dedicated:

It was while I was working at a service station in Edgemont while going to school at B.Y.U. that a man came into the station whom I didn't know, while recognizing the vehicle as one belonging to Osmond Studios. The man questioned me, "Don't you know who I am?" I didn't. I remembered his name as he signed the credit card slip to try and figure it out. His name was Maurice Gibb. I know who he is. The Bee Gees (my initials; therefore, B.G.'s) have been inspirational in some of their lyrics and music - for which I am appreciative. Here is one:

Lyrics

So this is who I am,
And this is all I know.
And I must choose to live,
For all that I can give,
The spark that makes the power grow.

And I will stand for my dream if I can,
Symbol of my faith in who I am,
But you are my only.

And I must follow on the road that lies ahead.
And I won't let my heart control my head.
But you are my only.

We don't say goodbye.
We don't say goodbye.
And I know what I've got to be

Immortality.
I make my journey through eternity.
I keep the memory of you and me inside.

Fulfill your destiny.
Is there within the child?
My storm will never end.
My fate is on the wind.
The king of hearts, the joker's wild.

But we don't say goodbye.
We don't say goodbye.
I'll make them all remember me.

'cause I have found a dream that must come true.
Every ounce of me must see it through.
You are my only.

I'm sorry I don't have a role for love to play.
Hand over my heart I'll find my way.
I will make them give to me..(yeah)

Immortality.(oh baby)
There is a vision and a fire in me.(oh)
I keep the memory of you and me, inside.

We don't say goodbye.
We don't say goodbye.
With all my love for you.
And what else we may do

Lyrics

There must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why can't my dream come true

There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away
All the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where hope keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why won't that sun appear

We're lost in a cloud
With too much rain
We're trapped in a world
That's troubled with pain
But as long as a man
Has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly

Deep in my heart there's a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
Come true, right now
Let it come true right now
Oh yeah
