The White House announced the federal government will spend $6 billion over four years for a “sustainable energy future” plan with Asian countries that involves loaning tax dollars to other countries to increase their purchasing power for U.S. technology, services and equipment.
“Recognizing that energy and the environment are among the most pressing issues confronting our region, President Obama, in partnership with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei and President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, today proposed the U.S.-Asia Pacific Comprehensive Partnership for a Sustainable Energy Future,” the White House announced Tuesday as Obama visits Asian Pacific countries. The initiative comes after the Obama administration has been criticized for spending billions to subsidize U.S.-based green energy companies that went on to declare bankruptcy, including Solyndra, Ener1, A123, Beacon Power and other failed renewable energy ventures.

That seems to be so mes5464.
The atheist socialist Prime Minister of Australia has burdened tax payers with carbon tax, plus consistent exorbitant give aways to foreign countries. She is buddy buddy with Obama.
http://personalliberty.com/2012/11/21/f ... bamagreen/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : Obama launched his re-election campaign in December 2011 by announcing $4 billion in energy conserving upgrades to Federal buildings throughout the country and finalising efforts to create an ecosystem task force. He has also committed $21 billion in taxpayer money to solar and wind energy companies. One of those companies was Solyndra, which received more than $500 million in Federal money only to default on it. According to Canada’s CTV News, Obama’s re-election has made climate change a “hot topic” in Washington and may lead to a new carbon tax. A carbon tax would force people to pay more for using fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas, which the Greens claim is producing heat-trapping carbon dioxide and creating storms like Sandy. Obamagreen will simply be a continuation of making the United States even less competitive.
According to GrabStats, there are more than 2,000 coal plants in China and one new plant goes into operation every four to seven days. In 2008, Wired Science reported that if China’s carbon usage keeps pace with its economic growth, the country’s carbon dioxide emissions will reach 8 gigatons a year by 2030. That will equal the entire world’s carbon dioxide production.

Oh Janadele. Your boy Mitt also wanted to rob Peter to pay Paul. He wanted to keep the government, as it stands today, revenue neutral. Yet he wanted to give tax relief to the "middle class." How does one do that? I don't even know if his so-called closed loopholes and deductions from the rich will make it happen, but that was his hope. In other words, he likes the size of government today (wants it tax revenue neutral) and wants to give the middle class more relief by taking even MORE from the rich. He wants to maintain the welfare ponzi schemes. He supported ponzi banking bailouts. He supported ZIRP to finance the military-industrial complex and these social/corporate welfare schemes. Everywhere you look, he supported robbing Peter to pay Paul. I can't take you seriously, sorry. It's just too difficult.

In all fairness $165 million isn't much. Our failure rate on green energy investments is low (lower than Bain's failure rate), in spite of the righty hype about a few companies.

Did I miss seeing something about Mittens? He lost. It's over. Immaterial. What matters is that we still have a spend happy commie in the White House and we need to reign him in with a gigantic leather strap. Our probelms aren't about parties, they're about principles. None of the candidates had much, but we did manage to elect the worst one of the two. However, this should be about how deep we're sunk, not who's captain of the ship.iamse7en wrote:Oh Janadele. Jamie Foxx promoted Barack Obama at the Soul Train Awards braodcast on BET (Black Entertainment Television) on Sunday night. However, it was the blasphemous way in which Foxx presented Obama that caught the attention of many. “First of all, give an honor to our God and our lord and savior, Barack Obama. Barack Obama.” Talk about an Obamanation! You can hardly distinguish if he is even separating Obama from God. Foxx gave a popularity hand to Obama in both the 2008 campaign and in 2012.
Some commenting on various articles reporting the blasphemy of Jamie Foxx said he wasn’t over the top, bu this was just over exaggerated and he was being comical. So this is what blasphemy has come to these days. First, blasphemy gets dismissed as “sympathetic” and declared “out of context” when it’s someone on the right and then it is simply defended as “over exaggerated” when it is someone on the left. Calendar sold at 2012 DNC in Charlotte, NC insinuating Barack Obama is the “Only begotten Son of God” Back just before the 2012 Democrat National Convention in Charlotte, calendars were being sold and in the month of Obama’s birth, August, was a picture of Obama in the Oval Office, his birth certificate and the words, “Heaven Sent: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16.”
Not only that, but it was Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan who referred to Barack Obama as the “Messiah.”
Who could forget the young children singing the praises of Barack Hussein Obama (MMM, mmmm, mmmm)?
Then there have been a flood of reports, paintings and websites over the past few years that promote the blasphemy of Barack Obama as God.
Let’s not forget that the cult of personality has a long history with men like Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini. Whether one said it or not they were treated by many as though they were gods, but they were merely men, just as Barack Obama is and just as Jamie Foxx is. There is nothing comical in the reference that Foxx gave concerning Barack Obama.

George Alabaster,
If you have never been to Africa, I have lived there in the course of three years, in several countries. I will tell you this: whatever money comes from the US taxpayers to help mend african poverty will be almost all of it diverted to help the african rich getting rich.
I have seem with my eyes aid from the European Union being robbed and sold in the various markets. Only a few goods, those that are under the media cameras eyes, will reach their intended targets. The rest will be robbed, diverted pillaged and traded for a profit. Can you imagine the profit margin here?
Ever since, I am frontally against any kind of aid. If EU wants to aid Africa, we shall than trade with them, create factories and farms that employ people and give them jobs, not give them money or goods gratitiously that will invariably be diverted to the already filthy rich; and only marginally spilled little by little to their people.

Painting Depicts Obama as Crucified Christ
By Todd Starnes
A painting that features President Obama posed as Jesus Christ crucified on is on display at a community college art gallery in Boston.
The painting by Michael D’Antuono is part of a larger exhibit called “Artists on the Stump – the Road to the White House 2012.” It’s on display at the Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery until Dec. 15th.
The painting is called “Truth” – and shows the president with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head.
It was originally supposed to debut nearly four years ago at New York City’s Union Square. But that event was cancelled due to public outrage.
“I always regretted cancelling my exhibit in New York because I feel my First Amendment rights should override someone’s hurt feelings,” D’Antuono told Fox News. “We should celebrate the fact that we live in a country where we are given the freedom to express ourselves.”
A spokesperson for the art gallery told Fox News there hasn’t been any criticism of the painting.
D’Antuono said the public exhibition “has afforded me the ability to right a wrong.”
He dismissed critics who called the display blasphemous.
“The crucifixion of the president was meant metaphorically,” he told Fox News. “My intent was not to compare him to Jesus.”
D’Antuono blamed the controversy on conservative media “trying to promote the idea that liberals believe the president to literally be our savior.”
In the aftermath of his aborted first attempt – the artist said he received more than 4,000 emails containing messages that were “anything but Christian-like.”
“But I accepted that it is their right to express themselves and hope that they now see it in their hearts to afford me the same right,” he said.

Fear of the populace thinking for themselvess is what's scared our leaders into more and more government control. What with all the tropps they now have under federal control, do you think anyone in power fears secession? The FBI has troops. The DHS has troops. The BATFE has troops. The U.S. Marshalls have troops. Hell, the Social Security has been armed. If we stop and look at how much money our government is spending to make sure that WE THE PEOPLE stay in line, we'd know where we can find the funds to pay off our debt.freedomfighter wrote:Scare Obama with secession threat. Good points. But you know as well as I, that the only way these various organizations got all those troops is because the American people through apathy and irresponsibility allowed it. And even now they're allowing government more and more control until we'll be choked with it.. Two periods for emphasis.skmo wrote:Fear of the populace thinking for themselvess is what's scared our leaders into more and more government control. We don’t mind paying taxes; we just observe that we pay too much into a complicated system to fund a largely inefficient government layered with redundant bureaucracy and nonessential services. We are happy to pay for paved roads, for mail delivery and, yes, for those who risk their lives in the defense of their country to see some fireworks on the Fourth of July. When we consider what else the government is spending our money on this month, it seems clear where their priorities are: While the government spends $37 million to promote the greatness of Obamacare (including $990,000 to the Los Angeles school district to train children to promote it to their families), the government can’t keep the White House open for tours. While the government spends $53 million on the “Yes Youth Can” program to promote fair elections and voter ID requirements in Africa, we cannot spend money on fireworks for military bases.
And, of course, all of this occurs as Obama, Michelle, their children, Michelle’s mother and Michelle’s niece sightsee around Africa on a fabulous $100 million vacation that is paid for by you and me. It is absolutely shameful where our government’s priorities are.
