Re: Snuffer LIVE From Los Angeles California

Major prophesy was uttered, IMHO. For interested people who missed it, the highlights were as follows: He spent time on discussing what it means to "be sent." He taught the doctrine of Christ. Invited all to be baptized. Said read Matthew 24, which is about the signs immediately preceding the Secon...

Re: LDS Church buys printer's manuscript of Book of Mormon for record $35 million from Community of Christ

To my understanding,no church funds were used for this purchase. All $35 million came from wealthy donors who gave the funds for this specific purpose. As long as that's the case, I'm fine with it. When I incorrectly believed that the church just bought it, I felt differently. To be honest, I think...

Re: LDS Church buys printer's manuscript of Book of Mormon for record $35 million from Community of Christ

This was told to me, in more detail, by LDS Priesthood leaders at both Nauvoo and Independence. They have already given them financial aid over many years. This is one of those myths we're so good at perpetuating. The LDS Church has never given a penny to the Community of Christ. It's not true thou...

Re: LDS Church buys printer's manuscript of Book of Mormon for record $35 million from Community of Christ

According to the announcement by Stephen Veasey (President of the Community of Christ), the $35 million is going to be used to support the church's pension liabilities for their retired ministers. Additionally, they are disposing of $25 million worth of real estate for the same reason. According to ...

Re: LDS Church buys printer's manuscript of Book of Mormon for record $35 million from Community of Christ

It will keep the Community of Christ going for a few more years. Their financial situation is dire, so this will help. I remember they were given $40 million by a generous member about 18 or 19 years ago and they spent a great deal of it on their "Transformation 2000" initiative. They employed minis...

Re: Feel pretty confident that the 2nd coming won't be for 90+ years

However, even the 5 wise virgins who were prepared for the arrival of the bridegroom (because their lamps were trimmed and they had sufficient oil), would not have expected him at midnight. Bridegrooms do not arrive in the middle of the night when everyone, including all of the virgins, were asleep...

Re: Feel pretty confident that the 2nd coming won't be for 90+ years

I have been saying this for years. The very fact that so many are expecting him very soon, is evidence he won't show up. A thief in the night doesn't appear when everyone thinks he will. I think we're looking at two or three hundred years. First, let me say that I'm not insisting that the Second Co...

Re: Book of the Lamb of God and the Bible--Same or different records?

Nephi is quoting the Gentiles saying "a Bible, we have a Bible..."; but clearly he refers to it as the book of the Lamb of God. Same book though, because it goes forth from the Gentiles to the remnant seed of the Lehites just as the Bible does.

I wonder how Trump is seen in the US compared to how he is portrayed here in the UK. I remember when Reagan was president. He was portrayed by the UK media as, basically, a bumbling old fool. Yet, many of my American friends loved him, and still do. Equally, our media hated Margaret Thatcher but the...

True, but necessity is the mother of invention.

People make money selling water. They do, but it's crazy. Not really. It's got to be made potable and deliverable. Most would prefer to pay someone to provide that service. I guarantee that if water became the new fuel, people would be collecting off their roofs, and filling up Jerry cans at the ri...

Stick to the 4 generations, and then go back further when that is all done.
