Personal commentary: a focus on one verse: 15 Behold, when ye shall rend that veil of unbelief which doth cause you to remain in your awful state of wickedness, and hardness of heart, and blindness of mind... You know...his story is on his skin. Most of us have similar stories, though we keep them private. We are all sinners in need of Christ's grace, especially me.

I'm not exactly a scriptorian but your proposed polygamy is anti-biblical. Mary and Martha were sisters. You misinterpreted my post. Please see my reply to DesertWonderer2 above. Why do you think I misinterpreted your post? That quote was in response to DesertWonderer2. I received a notification th...

Re: Now we have another Prophet who is sealed to multiple women that makes 12 out of 17 prophets

Sorry not going to sugar-coat it: No. I wouldn’t believe you if you said a true messenger from The Father had revealed it to you. People who have forsaken their covenents and attempted to perform sacred ordinances w/o authorization tend not to recognize true messengers. Alternatively, people who ha...

Col: I hate to be the one to break the news to you but Jesus most likely practiced polygamy (Mary, Martha and Mary Magdalene). Would you believe me if I told you Jesus did not practice polygamy? I'll bite. I just discovered this topic. I've just finished reading all his books. Because of my own experiences, I believe him. He never asked anyone to believe him, though. Not everyone will seek the Lord the way the Lord has admonished (Ether 4). Not everyone desires the Second Comforter. We are ...

Re: Zion ≠ Socialism

Those are good passages, Silver! The Sermon on the Mount provides valuable information. For example, in Luke's Gospel, we read: 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. Is there nuance to this? Or should this be taken straight literal? Did ...

Oh, and top it off with Moses 7:18, which f...

This brings up an interesting point. Re: Zion ≠ Socialism

Ok, I'll do some of the work. From that link, I'll start with: So was Jesus really a socialist? More to the main focus of this essay, did he call for the state to redistribute income to either punish the rich or to help the poor? As far as I recall, Jesus never addressed the "state" except the time ...

Re: Zion ≠ Socialism

Well, so far, people have shared some interesting perspectives. I believe it would be more meaningful if people who made certain claims would support them with scripture and/or what general authorities have declared. For example: "Jesus was not a socialist." That is not different than saying Zion do...

Zion ≠ Socialism

Whenever I read a topic, which broaches the subject of Zion, someone inevitably tends to bring up Socialism and that Zion is not Socialism. I have not ever read anyone on this forum declare that Zion is Socialism. But for some reason, some people seem to assign this intention to those who wish to di...

Can Words Describe Him?

I wrote this on Christmas Eve, 1990, while on my mission in Germany. This poem reflects the heart of an inadequate young man who did not know how to measure his love for his Savior, but who desired in weakness to praise Him. Can Words Describe Him? Can words describe the heavens the moment He left h...

Re: First Look at the Awesome Design of Trump’s Border Wall

No wall will keep in or out the people that were meant to be on this "land" wherever they may be and who have been around longer than those trying to keep them "out." If/when the wall goes up, it will last only as long as the Lord allows.
