Re: Great News For Me Finally!!!

As many of you know, I am not a member of the LDS Church due to really, Really, REALLY stupid activity on my part. That will soon change. As of this morning I am cleared to once again enter the waters of baptism and take upon myself the Name of Christ in a covenant with Him. As eloquent as I am (if...

Re: The single most common affliction of mankind: possession by evil spirits

You make many claims here such as "New testament casting out devils was simply resolving a medical problem" but you provide nothing to indicate this is anything other than your opinion. So unless every person is instantly healed from every physical ailment then they are sinning by not having faith ...

Re: The single most common affliction of mankind: possession by evil spirits

No true - don't give the evil spirits that much credit, it is our free agency and natural man that is our affliction. If only the PH can cast out devils then one has to believe that all men and woman who do not have the PH are possessed and incapable of doing any good or overcoming sin, addiction w...

Re: The single most common affliction of mankind: possession by evil spirits

So.... scriptural mention of devils and possession is really a medical issue? And such narratives are misguided and they are really healing instead of dealing with unseen spiritual beings? You clearly have a very very different view of scriptural accounts than I do, and I hesitate to continue this ...

Re: The single most common affliction of mankind: possession by evil spirits

The BOM does teach that no person can be heal or do miracles unless he is clean of all sin. Also many times it is not God’s will that we should be healed. Like the apostle Paul of old who had a thorn in the flesh – it was never taken from him. As to spirits possessing children – yeah I don’t buy it...

Re: Recommendations for a non-vax friendly doctor?

I share your opinion. I've tried many herbs and home remedies as I've sought answers to this and have found nothing that really helps. Using a humidifier at night has been good but it didn't help last night. I'll look into the lobelia. I usually stick with kitchen herbs except in cases like this wh...

Re: Setting aside the rhetoric that some would consider inflammatory, does this article make any good points?

I wish the temple recommend question was do we sustain the church leaders as they act in harmony with the Holy Spirit. The way the question is worded now seems gestapo. Why do we teach to follow the prophet? This culture is not appropriate. We are to listen to the Holy Spirit and through it sustain...

Re: Curious Workmanship...

This phrase shows up several times in the Book of Mormon. Nephi describes his manner of building the ship as "Curious Workmanship". I have long been subconsciously pestered by that phrase. The Liahona was constructed with "Curious Workmanship". What does that mean? In Ether 10:27, they used curious...

Hi! So I heard that Joseph Smith taught principles and ideas that the church rejected a long time ago because they didn't want any more revelation, they liked where they were at. What was it that he taught that they rejected? Could someone lead me to what this was? Thank you! Ho. Ho. Ho. - Hee, Hee...

Re: How do we best educate adult LDS members w/o losing them?

Why would you think think that leaving the church isn't hurting them? Why would you think that leaving the only way back to Heavenly Father isn't a wound that won't be fixed? (Spiritual wounds don't heal on their own without help.) If you remember this, then of course you think that if they leave w...
