George Albert Smith Prophecy to be fulfilled 2016?
Just a little fun with this. I personally feel like the pieces are lining up to make this a high probability. I have made many preparations not based on this prophecy but think it could be near fulfillment and may be fulfilled. Have you based your preparations on it? While I am preparing, I take it with a grain of salt but can't help but think it will come to pass just about as described by bro Horne.

Re: George Albert Smith Prophecy to be fulfilled 2016?
I pondered/prayed for several months on what to do to prepare. I have thought about numerous scenarios and what I may or may not do and my husband and I have talked about different things....there was a time I did worry and have anxiety whether I would face things by myself or would my husband be around...what to do...where to go....etc....I like to have some kind of plan. I finally did place EVERYTHING on the alter of the LORD and my anxiety went away. I have a few things in mind to do.....if I am faced with a gov't source--I will....(I mentioned it on another thread.)
I really really hope I will not be faced with something like (when food/water run out for people) neighbors or gangs coming to see what "we" have.....I really don't want to face that-if I am here. Now if I am prompted to go to a particular place before things get that bad and I am not here....I guess that would be different.

Re: George Albert Smith Prophecy to be fulfilled 2016?
I can't say that I know, so this is purely my conjecture, but historical precedent has shown that a gathered campaign to exterminate church membership (think Ammonihah) is what it takes to allow whole cities, or whole national governments to be destroyed, in the kind of brutality an lawlessness you can see happening in the George Albert Smith account. IMHO, it will amount to scapegoating the church for the bad economic conditions, plus some church members throwing other church members under the bus. I subscribed to the idea of us all being camped out during the destruction, but I have since reconsidered the possibility that some cities could still be a refuge for religious people who either are persecuted by worldly forces or who are sympathetic to the church, or simply see the worldly conditions for what they are, sort of like how Limhi understood the actions of his father, Noah, to be wrong. Either way, the persecution or hatred for church members will be ugly by the time The Lord stays his handand allows the awful atomic fires to be unleashed. It will be more of a deliverance, sadly enough, than it will be a totally awful tragedy.MsEva wrote:I pondered/prayed for several months on what to do to prepare. Re: George Albert Smith Prophecy to be fulfilled 2016?
I was reading comments on a post about Mormon Missionaries playing a pick-up game of basketball and it reminded me of quotes from anti-mormons just previous to when it got real bad for early Mormons. I think we're much closer than what people realize to a modern Hawn's Mill Massacre on a grand scale :-ss

Re: George Albert Smith Prophecy to be fulfilled 2016?
Please! I think I know what prophecy we are talking about, but anything specific? economy? preps? I think it is not helping to have the POTUS snubbing Putin. I do know that I have been worried and virtually "running to and fro" trying to figure out what/how/where re: preps. I got a blessing in general (back to school, mainly) and there was a sentence in the middle promising that I will know what to do when the time comes. I agree with the prior messages that if we are prepared, we need not fear and will be led.
But, again, specifics? I haven't been able to find a good source of the prophecy to study.

Russian strategic forces carried out a large-scale surprise military drill on Wednesday, launching four nuclear missiles that were closely monitored by U.S. intelligence agencies, U.S. officials said.
The drill began around 9:00 am ET and included the test launch of two land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and two submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs).
The test firings were unusual because of the number of missiles fired at one time, said officials who discussed some details of the drill on condition of anonymity.
State Department spokeswoman Alexandra F. Bell confirmed the tests and said the long-range missile firings were “conducted consistent with the requirements of the New START Treaty.” ........... The full article is on The Washington Free Beacon.

Re: George Albert Smith Prophecy to be fulfilled 2016?
I believe that we will experience WWIII at the end of the 42 months persecution that Daniel and John speak of. Because I don’t believe that we are presently in the 42 months I think 2016 is a bit early. However, I defiantly feel that we could be entering the 42 months by the fall of 2016. That would mean that we would see WWIII in the spring of 2020. The Second Coming will follow closely behind this great war.

Wow this is scary... All it would take is all those ICBM's to detonate in the atmosphere above the US and BAM we are back in the 1800s... craziness.OCDMOM wrote:Bill Gertz

It really bothers me that our government hasn't done anything to protect our electrical systems in case of an EMP. It could be done for less than Obamacare will cost and actually save many more lives. But I guess it's not politically expedient.

Of all the predictions I have heard on these forums, this is part of the scenario that I think is most likely.
If Ison does anything spectacular, I'll be even more inclined to be looking to Sept 2015 for financial collapse and 2016 to be the year the GAS prophecy will be fulfilled.

If you missed this docudrama on NatGeo it might be re-airing. Here it is on Youtube. Thanks for the link. I will watch it as I can Last year I read "The Great and Terrible" series by Chris Stewart. I highly recommend it. It is a 6 book series, and plays out an EMP type scenario in America. I think I plowed through those books is like 4 days LOL I seriously couldn't put them down! My husband banned me from reading for months after that :)) I will watch the video, and you should check out the books. ;)

Re: George Albert Smith Prophecy to be fulfilled 2016?
For me, this is a maybe yes, especially at the velocity that people are running away from sound principle and calling the principle nuts.
When I calculated the time from the DOMA decision in SCOTUS (26 Jun 2013) 42 months from that time is SUNDAY, 25 DECEMBER 2016.
Some accounts of this alleged vision have the attack happening on a HOLIDAY between the elections and the inauguration of the new president.
Pray that your flight be not in winter nor on the Sabbath day...
Ison might be spectacular but then again it may not. It will be at its brightest on Chanukah but definitely not the full moon being raved about at the start of the year. It is still a mag 8 comet, barely perceptible with binoculars.
My eyes are on the blood moon tetrad of 2014 and 2015.
Also, my eyes are on the Talmage prophecy said in 1916 where "some people alive (then)" would still be alive when the Ten Tribes came back.
Armstrong is predicting some very bad mojo happening from 2015 thru 2020, and a potential dark age in 2032-33 should people not change course.

I seriously do not see how this can hold together for over 3 years, it seems more likely that x factor may result in an early election. I think that the winter of 2016 would be the furthest possible time frame. As time goes on though I am coming to doubt the authenticity, simply because making it to 2016 seems so far fetched to me.

Re: George Albert Smith Prophecy to be fulfilled 2016?
I voted "maybe". This vision was written down from my understanding much after the time GAS talked about it. I really don't like absolutes but many things of this prophecy have either happened, are happening or have been announced on the agenda for the powers that be. It's a little creepy if you aren't ready for it.

I agree. I think things will start to fall apart next year. BUT we also have to remember that it all depends on the agency of man, and if man can change his heart, then it can change the future. As of right now, though, things aren't looking like they will be getting any better anytime soon.

LDSguy, I actually saw "American Blackout" and while it was interesting, I think it totally underplayed how bad it will actually be. And no way will the problem be fixed in two weeks. If you missed this docudrama on NatGeo it might be re-airing. Here it is on Youtube. Brianne541, the Great and Terrible series by Chris Stewart is one of the finest of its genre. It's pretty realistic when it comes to an EMP strike.Last year I read "The Great and Terrible" series by Chris Stewart. I highly recommend it.
