Test of Fire - Election 2012

I'm not good at embedding, but this is a video worth watching. The Catholic church made it and it applies to a whole lot more people than just them.

Peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high;

Thanks. Those are fantastic. I came here today to see if anyone had posted a link to "Test of Fire"; I hadn't seen it until an email today.

For those who haven't seen or read the LDS Church's "Religious Freedom" blog series and links page, I HIGHLY recommend them. We often stay silent because we're afraid of crossing the political boundaries; reading what our real rights are will combat this.

Religious Freedom http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/official-statement/religious-freedom

Political Neutrality (different than you may think!) http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/official-statement/political-neutrality

The last few weeks I've been feeling a strong desire to ask my Bishop if I could give a talk in church about the War in Heaven and the fight for righteousness and freedom now- or maybe the Stake President, since Stake Conference is in a few weeks. Any advice from someone who's done this?

Perhaps we should consider paying some offerings to the Catholic Church who seem to be the only ones who haven't lost the will to stand up for freedom and our Constitution and fight for our God given rights. Neutrality is giving in to Satan. Well did Brigham Young say that if we move a little bit toward Babylon we are no longer Zion. The two do not mix. Is there not one man or woman in the Church who will stand and say "give us liberty or give us death". Should We not be one with the "huddled masses" who are yearning to breath free. "This is our country to have and to hold". There is no nutrality in the war in heaven nor on earth, then or now. Plant the standard of Liberty in your homes and support anyone, LDS , Protestant, Jew, or Catholic who is willing to fight the battle to protect the truth.

gr8: I agree with your last sentence, and am glad to see others standing too.

I think you have not read the Political Neutrality statement link above.

Sing,
You should notice that I was talking about We not the church. I have read the "statement" many times. Thanks

For many years I have wondered why the church does not "publicly" make it's stance. Why are we not fighting for freedom and the constitution, etc. I came across my answer. It may not be yours. In the D&C between Declaration 1 and 2 is Excepts from Three Addresses by Pres. Wilford Woodruff. In it he discusses with the Saints what the Lord has shown him would happen to the leadership and to our temples should the saints defy the unconstitutional ruling against polygamy. The one point he wanted understood is that the temples were to stay with the Saints as we have a work to do. I know for myself that the Lord is very aware of the wicked designs and conspiracies of men. He will let them have their day and do what they must and he will allow it. But we must be able to continue with our temples. I also know for myself that our day will come, but it has to be in the Lord's time. These wicked people will never be able to run God a muck. So I continue watching all the signs, preparing, attend the temple for my own kindred dead and patiently wait.

gr8: "We" can also mean the church in general, depending on who's talking. I'm sorry for misunderstanding you in this case.
