Ditto. Almost every city in Asia has a "World Trade Center." I'm assuming most major cities have something with that name. It's been a common practice for quite some time.
That said, it sure does seem worldly and Mammon-y, but it is probably a good financial investment and/or something to be proud about.

Only if you are the Utah/SLC Chamber of Commerce, or have/are employed by a business located there....(IMO)
It's one thing for the city to want to market itself as an international caliber city; it's strange to me that the church is initiating these giant steps toward being worldly/world-class (however you want to characterize it). Maybe they have good justifications like some greater purpose in the long run... Etc...
