Sure...and probably best summarized by the following two articles -

....I have yet to see disputation of the material and from all the research that I have done they appear to be correct. If you would like to dig deeper here are a couple other links (work in process) where I'm storing information -

Here's a couple of pro Ron Paul video's that as linj2fly states - "illustrates the connections between RP and the ideas of Rothbard, Mises et al, and his practical and rhetorical use of the constitution to achieve a state of anarchism..."

Here's another -

Now to address the plot of the Gads:

I believe the basic fundamental Gad/satan plot is global dominion as well as possibly (most likely) the destruction of the United States (promised land) in order to hinder the work as much as possible prior to the end of the adversary's time limit.

The ultimate control point is money - "you can buy anything in this world with money". The secondary control point is raw resources or commodities - "I will take the treasures of the Earth, and with gold and silver I will buy up armies and navies, false priests who oppress, and tyrants who destroy, and rain with blood and horror on the Earth!".

Who controls the world's money? Who controls the world's commodities?

Another control point right behind money and natural resources (food, minerals, petroleum, etc) is government. Government is the compelling force upon the masses. satan knows the destruction a wicked king can cause....as well as the threat of a righteous king. Same for representative governments and the people that they represent.

Great efforts have been undertaken to both destroy the liberty of the people of the United States as well as their Constitution. The attacks range from economic/monetary to social/political. From corporations like Disney to Walmart to Goldman Sachs. They are tools for influence and control upon the people. The adversary gains these tools by promising wicked men the opportunity "to get gain that they might be lifted up one above another" (pride & power). The destruction ranges from our bodies (temples of God?) to our spirits (God's offspring?) via the food we eat (processed chemical pap, GMO, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, aspartame, HFCS, etc), the air we breath (pollution to aluminum/barium phosphate), the water we drink (fluoride, nitrates/nitrites, pharma run-off, etc).....to what we watch and listen to on tv, movies, music, etc.

Side note fact - 90% of the $$$ American's spend on food...is for processed food.

At this point in time I believe that the world is currently monopolized....its done...it happened...its a reality. Government is a tool....the corporations have gained power and control over government (the corporate/government revolving door) and used it to further expand their monopolies over the past century to the point that they now dominate the world via a few key people that direct said corporations (trillion dollar traders like Glencore, Trafigura, Vitol, Gunvor, Mercuria, Cargill, Kock Industries, ADM, Noble Group, Olam, etc).

At this juncture in time....government remains a tool...that the people could possibly take back via their last remaining Constitutional thread (franchise to vote - according to Ezra Taft Benson in 1976) and destroy the monopolies and corporate (private ownership) powerhouses in protection of the people.

Thus all that remains to obtaining global dominion is destroying this tool to prevent the people from politically uniting and obtaining the power to thwart their aims....to eradicate individual currencies of the people and shortly thereafter their governments. Control the money (economy - production and resources) and you control the people.

Here is the basic propaganda -

....of course its all based on competing organizations in a "free" market with no attempt at identifying the small circle of real power players.

Now where in this current awful situation does Ron Paul fit? And what solutions does he propose?

Ron has talked about Auditing the Fed for decades. The Fed is already audited....what he's talking about is auditing every member bank....which is all BS and will never happen.

Ron is talking about competing currencies...issued by the gadianton controlled market of course....in other words setting the stage for the new world order to establish a global currency based on gold as advocated by his buddy Lewis Lehrman of CFR and PNAC. So we have a shell game where they drop the Federal Reserve Notes and go with a global note "backed by gold" (digital gold?)...at least until they say otherwise (think Nixon)....where's the change? Who gets screwed?

Read "The Case for Gold" by Ron Paul and Lewis Lehrman which is their viewpoint after participating in Ronald Reagan's Gold Commission which Ron Paul spearheaded.

Is our debt reduced? The money creation problem resolved? No....instead he proposes that we sell off our gold and lands to satisfy the debt (which was created for the cost of printing). Constitutional...nope.

Ron is talking about getting out of foreign entanglements and bringing the military home. This sounds really good and I hate how the US military has become this globalist tool. That said, much of the damage has been done and at this point it would just pave the way for China/Russia whom the globalists have been building up for multiple decades.

Also...what are those troops going to do when they get home? Any jobs out there? Why? Wouldn't be lack of money would it (which creates lack of demand and lack of jobs)? Is Ron Paul planning to fix that? Nope! Instead he's actually going to make it worse by opening the door to a single global currency based on commodities which "we the people" don't control.

So is bringing the troops home a good thing....again No. It will actually be destructive to the nation from multiple angles. First it provides a vacuum for China/Russia to fill. Second, all these guys come home only to find disillusion as they cannot gain employment (job losses accelerate as we find ourselves in a global race to the bottom for the lowest common denominator - i.e. the cheapest grunt labor)....and their respective skill sets are no longer desired....which leads to destruction/chaos at home.

Ron has also voted for things like "most favored status" to China which has helped assist them in their build up. That's not an "entangling alliance" with what Ron has also called "one of the most brutal, anti-American regimes in the world"???? And has it not fit hand in glove with globalist plans of building up the communist countries and destroying the United States?

Ron is also recommending privatizing the military, education, TSA, FAA, etc etc etc (the election system for government ???)....all while spouting off that we need to get rid of the "privatized" (Federal Reserve and fractional private banking) money creation system. His Restore America kills a large chunk of government spending (although privatizing portions of it - who gets those contracts?)...basically taking the military from foreign lands (leaving a gigantic vacuum for the Russians/Chinese to fill) as well as large portions of the federal government...while completely reducing costs to corporate interests and selling off government assets. So the corporations receive massive benefits (reduced or near zero taxes). The Russians/Chinese benefit. The rich who have all the investments benefit.

But the poor little guy on the bottom....nah he gets squeezed like never before in history. Safety nets go bye bye. The rich get richer....and the poor get much much poorer.

Ron Paul's free market is a crock of BS. He pretends to be for free market while his strategies and policies are designed to destroy the last remaining controls of government. This is clearly evident in his "Restore America Plan" - notice the removal of controls over banking and corporations as well as the reduction in corporate tax (even further globalization as they can move money where ever they want w/o repatriating taxes)....is that the free market you envisioned???

Is Ron Paul advocating putting the power back in Congress.....or more privatization and power to the corporations???

Again go back and look at Ron Paul's actual policies or intended policies and compare them with "free market"....is it really "free" or do you end up in California's situation after they "de-regulated" power and their power bills went up 1600% over the course of a year or two??? All because they now were competing on the "national" market for power...who won? who lost? How did that Enron/Bush story go again???

Does it look like this?

China Does Capitalism Better Than America
http://fora.tv/2012/03/12/China_Does_Ca ... an_America" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Might also ask why he would like to privatize everything (military, government land, education, etc etc etc)....and yet he's against the privatized Federal Reserve (whom Congress, via their their Constitutional right, delegated the right to create money)??? And why his answer to the privatization isn't Constitutional...but instead further privatization via competing currencies?

How about if we just privatize the whole election process? Simple rule - he with the most money makes all the rules.
Imagine a world where everything is owned: the land, the water, and the air.

Ownership is the right of influence. When you own something you can do what you will with it. Nobody can tell you otherwise. If you save all your money and buy a Porsche, you can drive it off a cliff for all we care. It is yours, and being yours, it escapes our influence.

In a corporation, decisions are made through ownership percentage of the company. If you and I, together, own 51% of our company, we can institute any corporate policy or bylaws we want. But I ask you, how many of us own 51% of Exxon, or Merrill Lynch, or Monsanto? How many of us have ever sat in on a board meeting for Disney, or Microsoft, or K-Mart? Chances are, you have not, and as long as you don’t own enough of the company, you will never be invited. You will never have influence. That takes ownership.

Imagine a world where everything is owned: not by you, but by one of these companies. Imagine that the presiding authority over the water you drink, or the air you breathe is owned by somebody else, and its use had to be commercially negotiated: that you drink because you have permission to drink, or breathe air because you have permission to breathe it.

What else is a license than merely formal arrangements of permission? When you buy a $0.99 song on iTunes, its not merely the bandwidth you are paying for, or even the royalty to the artist. You are purchasing a license — you are purchasing permission from the owner of the music, the record company, to play and store the music on your computer and iPod.

Imagine a world where the central systems of society were privatized in this fashion: they are owned, not by you, and provided through private permission.

What else is Despotism than a society where everything that is done, is done with permission of the elite? What else is Despotism than the privatization of society?

Ron Paul and his agenda.... how does turning the money over to the "market" and out of the hands of the government (Congress - i.e. the people...as long as the franchise to vote remains) fit in with these statements -
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Already they have raised up a monied aristocracy that has set the government at defiance. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
- Thomas Jefferson
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
- Thomas Jefferson
I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House, with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone.

Paul has long held that land owned by the government should be sold to private developers. In addition to closing the Department of the Interior, his "Restore America" budget plan proposes selling off at least $40 billion worth of public lands such as national parks, and other federal assets, between 2013 and 2016.

Fast forward almost 70 years. Ron Paul announces at the Heritage Foundation that the government should sell its gold to reduce the national debt.

http://www.garynorth.com/public/8028.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So one has to ask....Why is this libertarian movement, that originates from a maze of black box tax free foundations funded by a few families, going to solve our problems with respect to freedom and liberty? Why do they support Ron Paul and what is his philosophy on libertarianism? Will his plans improve the nation by giving more power to the people....or will it go to the corporations and the people lose what voice they now have?

While the NATO-installed head of the Tripoli-based National Transitional Council has threatened the use of “force” to prevent the country’s partition along regional lines, his words are bound to fall on deaf ears for the simple reason that he does not have the authority to back his words. He is just a Western mannequin.

Nearly five months after the lynch-mob murder of Libya’s former leader, Muammar Gaddafi, and Nato’s declaration of victory in its war for regime change, the confrontation between Tripoli and Benghazi, the eastern city where the autonomy decision was taken, raises the spectre of civil war.

These new Greek bonds, to be issued Monday, are already trading a trashed out prices. The Bloomberg price shows pricing AFTER the 53% haircut. Another 3/4 has been shaved off. In other words, based on the old bonds the new bonds have lost over 85% of their value. The bottom line going forward is that no economy can service a still large amount of debt when only 36.1% of its people contribute by being employed. By comparison, the US employment/population ratio is 58.6%, down from 64.7% in 2000.

Various charts show home prices are now back to levels last seen in September-October 2002

The Fed kept interest rates at historic lows between 2002 and mid-2004. The last two rate cuts by Alan Greenspan were not justified at all, by any measure, and downright absurd considering the bubble brewing in housing prices vs. rent.

Allegedly the Fed held interest rates low to prevent "deflation". Instead it exacerbated "price deflation".

Clearly the Fed had no idea what it was doing, and still doesn't, (unless of course you believe this is a Fed conspiracy to deliberately screw the middle class).

An online effort to ban beef containing an additive known as “pink slime” from the federal school lunch program has garnered almost 19,000 supporters in less than four days.

About 6 percent, or 7 million pounds, of the beef purchased by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for the program this year contains the product, made of beef trim and treated with ammonium hydroxide to kill possible pathogens such as E. coli. There is no concern about safety risks associated with the product, Dirk Fillpot, USDA spokesman, said in a statement.

McDonald’s Corp., the world’s largest restaurant chain, Burger King Holdings Inc., and Yum! Brands Inc.’s Taco Bell have stopped using the substance. McDonald’s dropped the ingredient to be “consistent with our global beef supply chain,” according to a statement from the Oak Brook, Illinois-based company.

“This is like the slaughter house sweepings,” said Bettina Elias Siegel, of Houston, who started the online petition on her blog The Lunch Tray. “Fast-food chains have stopped using it because people vote with their dollars, but kids in cafeterias are captive to what’s served there.”

...and for a little follow up on my foray yesterday into Ron Paul -
Ron Paul Staff, Partners: “Shrewd Businessman” Ron Paul Personally Made Sure News Letters Were Racist As Part Of Money-Making Strategy

Ron Paul, well known as a physician, congressman and libertarian , has also been a businessman who pursued a marketing strategy that included publishing provocative, racially charged newsletters to make money and spread his ideas, according to three people with direct knowledge of Paul’s businesses.

The Republican presidential candidate has denied writing inflammatory passages in the pamphlets from the 1990s and said recently that he did not read them at the time or for years afterward. Numerous colleagues said he does not hold racist views.

But people close to Paul’s operations said he was deeply involved in the company that produced the newsletters, Ron Paul & Associates, and closely monitored its operations, signing off on articles and speaking to staff members virtually every day.

“It was his newsletter, and it was under his name, so he always got to see the final product. .?.?. He would proof it,’’ said Renae Hathway, a former secretary in Paul’s company and a supporter of the Texas congressman.

The newsletters point to a rarely seen and somewhat opaque side of Paul, who has surprised the political community by becoming an important factor in the Republican race. The candidate, who has presented himself as a kindly doctor and political truth-teller, declined in a recent debate to release his tax returns, joking that he would be “embarrassed” about his income compared with that of his richer GOP rivals.

Yet a review of his enterprises reveals a sharp-eyed businessman who for nearly two decades oversaw the company and a nonprofit foundation, intertwining them with his political career. The newsletters, which were launched in the mid-1980s and bore such names as the Ron Paul Survival Report, were produced by a company Paul dissolved in 2001.

The company shared offices with his campaigns and foundation at various points, said those familiar with the operation. Public records show Paul’s wife and daughter were officers of the newsletter company and foundation; his daughter also served as his campaign treasurer.

Jesse Benton, a presidential campaign spokesman, said that the accounts of Paul’s involvement were untrue and that Paul was practicing medicine full time when “the offensive material appeared under his name.” Paul “abhors it, rejects it and has taken responsibility for it as he should have better policed the work being done under his masthead,” Benton said. He did not comment on Paul’s business strategy.

‘I’ve never read that stuff’

Mark Elam, a longtime Paul associate whose company printed the newsletters, said Paul “was a busy man” at the time. “He was in demand as a speaker; he was traveling around the country,’’ Elam said in an interview coordinated by Paul’s campaign. “I just do not believe he was either writing or regularly editing this stuff.’’

In the past, Paul has taken responsibility for the passages because they were published under his name. But last month, he told CNN that he was unaware at the time of the controversial passages. “I’ve never read that stuff. I’ve never read — I came — was probably aware of it 10 years after it was written,’’ Paul said.

A person involved in Paul’s businesses, who spoke on condition of anonymity to avoid criticizing a former employer, said Paul and his associates decided in the late 1980s to try to increase sales by making the newsletters more provocative. They discussed adding controversial material, including racial statements, to help the business, the person said.

“It was playing on a growing racial tension, economic tension, fear of government,’’ said the person, who supports Paul’s economic policies but is not backing him for president. “I’m not saying Ron believed this stuff. It was good copy. Ron Paul is a shrewd businessman.’’

The articles included racial, anti-Semitic and anti-gay content. They claimed, for example, that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. “seduced underage girls and boys’’; they ridiculed black activists by suggesting that New York be named “Zooville” or “Lazyopolis”; and they said the 1992 Los Angeles riots ended “when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks.’’ The June 1990 edition of the Ron Paul Political Report included the statement: “Homosexuals, not to speak of the rest of society, were far better off when social pressure forced them to hide their activities.”

It is unclear precisely how much money Paul made from his newsletters, but during the years he was publishing them, he reduced his debts and substantially increased his net worth, according to his congressional and presidential disclosure reports.

In 1984, he reported debt of up to $765,000, most of which was gone by 1995, when he reported a net worth of up to $3.3 million. Last year, he reported a net worth of up to $5.2 million.

The newsletters bore his name in large print and featured articles on topics ranging from investment advice to political commentary. Frequently written in first person, they contained personalized notes, such as holiday greetings from Paul and his wife, Carol.

The Washington Post obtained dozens of copies of the newsletters from the Wisconsin Historical Society. Texas news outlets wrote about them in 1996, and the New Republic published extensive excerpts in 2008. The issue resurfaced late last year, when Paul’s presidential campaign picked up momentum. The extent of Paul’s involvement and his business strategy had not been known.

Paul’s publishing operation began through a nonprofit organization he created in 1976, the Foundation for Rational Economics and Education, which advocates for limited government and a free market. The group, founded the year Paul entered Congress, published Ron Paul’s Freedom Report, mostly a collection of his congressional speeches and commentaries.

In 1984, just before losing a Senate bid and leaving Congress, Paul formed Ron Paul & Associates. He soon began publishing the Ron Paul Investment Letter, initially offering mostly economic and monetary information. Texas tax records listed Paul as president of the business; his wife as secretary; his daughter, Lori Paul Pyeatt, as treasurer; and a longtime Paul associate, Lew Rockwell, as vice president.

Ed Crane, the longtime president of the libertarian Cato Institute, said he met Paul for lunch during this period and the two discussed direct-mail solicitations, which Paul was sending out to interest people in his newsletters. They agreed that “people who have extreme views” were more likely than others to respond.

Crane said Paul reported getting his best response when he used a mailing list from the now-defunct newspaper Spotlight, which was widely considered anti-Semitic and racist.

Benton, Paul’s spokesman, said that Crane’s account “sounds odd” and that Paul did not recall the conversation.

At the time, Paul’s investment letter was languishing. According to the person involved with his businesses, Paul and others hit upon a solution: to “morph” the content to capitalize on a growing fear among some on the political right about the nation’s changing demographics and threats to economic liberty.

The investment letter became the Ron Paul Survival Report — a name designed to intrigue readers, the company secretary said. It cost subscribers about $100 a year. The tone of that and other Paul publications changed, becoming increasingly controversial. In 1992, for example, the Ron Paul Political Report defended chess champion Bobby Fischer, who had become known as an anti-Semitic Holocaust denier, for his stance on “Jewish questions.’’

Paul has said he wrote portions of the economic sections. The people familiar with his business said there was no indication that he wrote the controversial material.

Rockwell was the main writer of the racial passages, according to two people with direct knowledge of the business and a third close to Paul’s presidential campaign. Rockwell, founder of a libertarian think tank in Alabama, did not respond to phone calls and e-mails requesting comment. In 2008, he denied in an interview with the New Republic that he was Paul’s ghostwriter.

Paul “had to walk a very fine line,’’ said Eric Dondero Rittberg, a former longtime Paul aide who says Paul allowed the controversial material in his newsletter as a way to make money. Dondero Rittberg said he witnessed Paul proofing, editing and signing off on his newsletters in the mid-1990s.

“The real big money came from some of that racially tinged stuff, but he also had to keep his libertarian supporters, and they weren’t at all comfortable with that,’’ he said.

Dondero Rittberg is no longer a Paul supporter, and officials with Paul’s presidential campaign have said he was fired. Dondero Rittberg disputed that, saying he resigned in 2003 because he opposed Paul’s views on Iraq.

The July 15, 1994, issue of Survival Report exemplified how the newsletters merged material about race with a pitch for business. It contained a passage criticizing the rate of black-on-white crime when “blacks are only 12 percent of the population.’’ That was accompanied by two pages of ads from Ron Paul Precious Metals & Rare Coins, a business Paul used to sell gold and silver coins.

“The explosion you hear may not be the Fourth of July fireworks but the price of silver shooting up,’’ said one of the ads.

Hathway, the former Ron Paul & Associates secretary, said: “We had tons of subscribers, from all over the world. .?.?. I never had one complaint’’ about the content.

Paul a ‘hands-on boss’

Hathway described Paul as a “hands-on boss” who would come in to the company’s Houston office, about 50 miles from his home, about once a week. And he would call frequently. “He’d ask, ‘How are you doing? Do you need any more money in the account?’ ” she said.

The company also had an office in Clute, Tex., near Paul’s home, which it shared with Paul’s foundation and his campaigns at various points, Hathway and Dondero Rittberg said.

In 1996, as Paul ran for Congress again, his business success turned into a potential political liability when his newsletters surfaced in the Texas news media. Paul was quoted in the Dallas Morning News that year as defending a newsletter line from 1992 that said 95 percent of black men in the District are “semi-criminal or entirely criminal” and that black teenagers can be “unbelievably fleet of foot.”

“If you try to catch someone that has stolen a purse from you, there is no chance to catch them,” the newspaper quoted Paul as saying.

Paul won reelection, then dissolved Ron Paul & Associates in 2001. His nonprofit foundation is still in operation.

Staff researcher Lucy Shackelford contributed to this report.

Citigroup, SunTrust Banks Capital Plans Fail Fed Stress Tests

The Fed’s Stress Test Shows Zero Integrity

The Fed releases its latest gamed stress test, based on lower capital requirements to 5-6%. Total capital for top 6 banks is $632 Bn, leveraged 13X. The Fed ASSumes a capital loss of only $116 Bn on $8 trillion in fictitious capital? 13% unemployment assumption and a $116 billion loss? Stock market halved and only $116 Bn in capital loss? Zero integrity, any thinking person can see through that. Letting banks with 5 1/2% ratios (after shaving a mere $116 bn) raise dividends and buy stock like it is some good housekeeping seal of approval is beyond outrageous. “Bonuses” and “compensation” for the criminals who run these firms are sure to follow.

Elsewhere on the totally lacking in credibility front comes the CBO. Early in February the CBO released its first forecast for the 2012 budget deficit. The number then? $1.08 trillion. Just over a month later, the CBO has released its amended budget deficit. The bottom line this time around: an increase of just under $100 billion, to $1.171 trillion.

In the “just sayin” department the word is out that rents are getting bubbly. You will recall that the CPI is constructed using a concept called “owner’s equivalent rent of primary residence (OER). This is a squidgy term for “how much could you rent your house for”. Bottom line is rents are increasing even as house prices remain soft. In some regions rents are being described as bubbly [CNBC; Rent Report Suggest Possible Bubble].

One thing I hadn’t seen coming, however, was that the B.O.Bs [Bailed Out Bankers] would now be allowed to systematically overcharge borrowers and steal their homes. Seriously. Who cares about $1 million or $5 million penalties if horrible damage can be inflicted without punishment?

To see what I’m talking about, you need to look at Exhibit E-1. (It’s in all the consent agreements; here’s Chase’s.) Exhibit E-1 is a 14 page table titled “Servicing Standards Quarterly Compliance Metrics.” That is, it’s a table that details what, precisely, will be monitored to make sure that the B.O.Bs are meeting the very pretty servicing standards detailed in Exhibit A (again part of all the agreements.)

Note: You may want to print out table E-1 while reading this, or at least keep it open in another browser window or something.

The 24 largest independent pension systems in California, including Sacramento County's, are facing a combined $135.7 billion in long-term obligations that they won't have the assets to cover, a new Stanford University report says.

The average funded ratio of all 24 systems outside of CalPERS is 53.6 percent, using the lower Stanford investment return assumption. The research covers Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Sonoma, Stanislaus and Ventura counties. The cities whose pensions were examined include Fresno, Los Angeles, San Jose, and San Diego. The 24 systems account for more than 99 percent of independent system assets, Stanford says.

“Under the new budget proposed by Gov. Brown, the annual state payment to CalPERS drops from $3.5 billion this year to $3.1 billion in the new fiscal year.

Although most taxpayers are immersed in the daily struggle of trying to make ends meet in a sluggish economy, one of the biggest fears of government observers in Hawaii is the looming elephant in the room which is the unfunded liabilities of the state and county retirement system and the related health benefits for current and future public employee retirees.

The combined unfunded liabilities of both systems could reach as high as $20 billion, not millions but billions of dollars. That is more than the state’s biennial budget and the number will grow larger as more and more benefits are accrued by the state’s and counties’ active employees.

At a more conservative rate used by corporations and favored by many economists, liabilities expand significantly. By this measure, Philadelphia will exhaust its pension funds in 2015, with Boston and Chicago not far behind in 2019.

DETROIT -- As the city of Detroit struggles to find a way out of a massive funding crisis -- one that has left parts of the city streets without cops or street lights -- another crisis has been brewing.

While the city is likely to enter into a consent agreement with the state and thus avoiding the appointment of an emergency manager, it is still facing cash shortfalls and has a budget deficit of $200 million. Under all these financial issues lurks a familiar, but formidable opponent: HIV.

The disease has reached critical levels in the city. State HIV statistics show that nearly half of the city's zip codes have prevalence rates of three, four, or five percent. Three zip code have a staggering HIV prevalence rate of six percent -- nearly the Ugandan rate in 2009 of 6.5 percent.

But the zip codes don't show the whole picture. Laura Hughes, executive director of the Ruth Ellis Center, which works with LGBT homeless youth in Detroit, says that "nearly 40 percent" of the youth who utilize the center's drop-in services self-identify as HIV-positive. Last year the group served 4,309 youth.

"I always talk about our youth being at the intersections," Hughes says. "Those intersections are race, gender, sexuality, and poverty -- all of which can increase the chances you become HIV-positive."

Yet with these staggering numbers, the epidemic has been silently festering. Some leaders have spoken out about the epidemic -- Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh called it a "crisis," while progressive activist Van Jones said, "If it gets worse, they could send in blue helmets from international relief sources."

The future of the American housing market just became more complicated: The impact of the mortgage settlement and financial tectonic plates shifting.

The overall nationwide homeownership rate is 66 percent, back to levels last seen in 1998. The rate of homeownership of those under 35 is 37.6 percent. The peak was 43.1 percent reached in 2006. This is a decline of 12 percent in a few years while the overall rate has fallen by 4 percent. So what is happening here? I think a few things are hitting for this cohort:

-Higher student debt

-Lower wages

-Delaying marriage and starting families (for economic or personal reasons)

Overall I think we are going to witness a very different housing market going forward. It is hard to see why prices would be increasing in the next few years given all the above data. It is hard to have price increases when household incomes are stagnant. It is hard to increase home prices when a sizeable portion of jobs are coming from lower wage sectors. That is the danger of pushing rates that are below market levels. It is unsustainable and may not even result in a desired effect because of wider trends.

With stagnant wages and rising costs of other items like food and energy, people are starting to ask more important questions simply to maintain their current economic state.

“It is for officials only. They produce organic vegetables, peppers, onions, beans, cauliflowers, but they don’t sell to the public,” said Li Xiuqin, 68, a lifelong Shunyi village resident who lives directly across the street from the farm but has never been inside. “Ordinary people can’t go in there.”

Until May, a sign inside the gate identified the property as the Beijing Customs Administration Vegetable Base and Country Club. The placard was removed after a Chinese reporter sneaked inside and published a story about the farm producing organic food so clean the cucumbers could be eaten directly from the vine.

Elsewhere in the world, this might be something to boast about. Not in China. Organic gardening here is a hush-hush affair in which the cleanest, safest products are largely channeled to the rich and politically connected.

The first day of spring doesn't arrive until Tuesday, but Mother Nature has fast-forwarded past spring and gone straight to summer over the Midwest. Yesterday, large portions of Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Indiana recorded their all-time warmest temperatures for so early in the year, including the cities of Chicago, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Lansing. Temperature records for these cities go back as far as 1863. Perhaps the most extraordinary record was set in Traverse City, Michigan, which hit 81°F--a temperature 42°F above average, and four degrees warmer than any previous day so early in the year. Records go back to 1897 in the city.

The unusual warmth is due to a loop in the jet stream that has created a large upper-level ridge of high pressure that is stuck in place over the Eastern U.S.--a phenomenon known as a "blocking pattern." Since the jet stream acts as the boundary between cold air to the north and warm air to the south, and the large loop in the jet places its axis far to the north of the eastern U.S., summer-like warmth has developed over the eastern half of the U.S. Conversely, colder than average temperatures have developed over the western third of the U.S. behind the southwards-dipping loop of the jet stream. There are at least three large-scale patterns working together right now to create an unusually strong high-pressure ridge over the eastern half of the U.S.:

Focus the interference zone (IZ) on the other side of the earth (beam right through the earth and ocean) to a given desired area in the atmosphere. Bias your transmitters positively. You produce atmospheric heating in the air in the IZ, so that the air expands and you have produced a "low" pressure zone. Now... use a second interferometer biased negatively, and place it at a distant IZ desired. In that IZ, you cool the air so that it shrinks and becomes denser, and you have created a "high" pressure area.

Now... place several such IZs, with the desired highs and lows, near a jet stream. The jet stream will be deviated toward a low and away from a high. By varying the transmitted energy and the IZ location (just move it gradually along), you can entrain and steer the jet streams, and therefore effectively "steer" the resulting weather.

Nuclear bombs exploded in high altitude tests in the late fifties and early sixties by both the U.S.S.R. and the U.S. caused weather and jet stream changes that lasted almost 20 years. Do the HAARP heaters offer the same potential as they "perturb" the ionosphere? The ionosphere is home to many beneficial natural phenomena among them filtering the sun's harmful rays and reflecting radio waves used for communications. Although not totally understood, the ionosphere also directly effects the weather systems and the jet streams.

NOAA Region 1429 yielded an R2 (Moderate) Radio Blackout at 1741 UTC on March 13 (1:41 p.m. EDT). The Solar Radiation Storm associated with this event continues its slow decay toward background levels. The coronal mass ejection associated with this event was not headed directly at Earth, so only low levels of geomagnetic storming are expected as a result. Region 1429 is due to rotate off the disk shortly but still holds the potential for additional Radio Blackout or Solar Radiation Storm activity as it makes its way out of view.

The ACE Spacecraft detected a sharp increase in solar wind speed to near 800 km/s. This indicated the arrival of an incoming CME shock past the spacecraft. A geomagnetic sudden impulse measuring 27nT was just detected shortly afterwards by the Boulder, Colorado Magnetometer at 13:09 UTC and this signaled that the interplanetary shock had swept past our planet. A minor G1 Geomagnetic Storm is now in progress. The Bz component of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field is now pointing south.

the banksters have no legal claim on the homes they are foreclosing. Foreclosure is theft. Any bank that used MERS has no legal claim on property -- there are 65 million such mortgages to which no bank has a legal claim to foreclose.

And, to be sure, even those mortgages that were not run through MERS are suspect if they are handled by any of the five biggest servicers. These servicers keep such shoddy records that they cannot be trusted to accurately credit payments. They've been adding on fees and penalties that were unwarranted since they cannot keep track of records.

Folks, there are $7 trillion of securitized mortgages. It was (mostly) the securitization process that demanded fraud. Securitization could never have been profitable -- it was a flawed way to go about financing homeownership. It was simply too expensive to compete with Jimmy Stewart thrifts. It required fraud to show profits. (As Bill Black always says: fraud is a sure thing. It is always the most profitable way to run a business -- until you get caught.)

In addition to the MERS monster, we also know the securities did not meet the "reps and warranties" claimed. The banks that did the securizations will continue to get sued to take back bad mortgages. They are trying to shovel as many of these back to Fannie and Freddie as they can so that Uncle Sam will take the losses -- as discussed in my previous blog they are now doing it through sale of servicing rights.

Inquiring minds have noticed a huge plunge in California Tax Revenue for the month of February compared to February 2011. That is a 22.55% plunge in spite of the fact that this February was a leap year adding a day to the calendar.

Madeline Schnapp, at TrimTabs Investment Research sent me a quick note regarding that plunge a few days ago.

Madeline writes...

Hello Mish

I came across this little tidbit from the February report from the Comptroller's office of the State of CA.

In Feb 2012 income tax receipts are down $328 million y-o-y, or 16.5%. Ouch!

What about retail sales taxes? CA had a "temporary" sales tax hike of one cent that expired last July. Adjust the data to reflect that change, it looks like sales taxes in February are $400 million y-o-y +/-, a decline of about 12.4%. Double ouch!

That doesn't sound like robust growth to me.

So I am not sure what happen but I saw this:
Trayvon Martin Shooter George Zimmerman On Video – NO BLOOD, NO BRUISES

Exclusive police video footage of Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman in handcuffs after the killing shows he had no blood, no bruises, and no bandages.

Image

After George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin, which he claimed was self-defense, he was brought to the police station in handcuffs.

Zimmerman claimed that he had been decked by Martin and killed Martin in self defense because Martin was pounding his head into the concrete.

The police arrest video shows no sign of injury. No blood, no bruises, no cuts on his head and no bandages.

While Florida does have the stand your ground law, in which one could justifiably shoot someone even if they weren’t physically attacking, the point here is the video shows that Zimmerman lied about what happened.

The police, despite massive nationwide protests and even pressure from Congress, have also failed to file charges against Zimmerman.

Instead the police have vouched for Zimmerman’s account and have even been accused of “correcting witness statements”

The video shows that incident did not happen as Zimmerman and the Police claim.

Instead of the lack of charges being due to a valid self-defense this all now appears to be part of a blatant coverup to let the son of a retired US Magistrate judge off the hook for murdering, as Zimmerman called him right before killing him, a “f-ing coon”.

John McCain Is Furious That He Can't Lock Up Americans Under The NDAA

Late last year Senate Armed Services Chairman senior member John McCain (R.-Ariz.) and Carl Levin (D-Mich) crafted a National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) addendum that outraged Americans and put the president on the spot.

The bill, in part, called for allowing the indefinite detention of Americans with no due process whatsoever.

After Obama capitulated and signed the bill into law January 1, we identified the additions everyone was freaking out about:

Section 1021 of the NDAA allows the U.S. military to indefinitely detain, without due process, any person engaged in "hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners ... without trial until the end of hostilities."
Section 1022 expressly states that the military will imprison anyone who is a member of al-Qaeda or "an associated force" that acts like al-Qaeda; and anyone who planned or carried out an attack, or attempted attack, against the U.S.
Section 1022 continues that detaining American citizens is not required. "UNITED STATES CITIZENS — The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States."
The bottom line being that the government could have imprisoned anyone suspected of, or even associated with, terrorism. But on February 28, Obama issued a Presidential Directive announcing section 1022 would not apply to Americans.

This power was apparently much anticipated by Senator McCain because he's now doing everything in his power to get the legislation enforced, including tying up defense appointments made by the president.

McCain pledged yesterday that until the Pentagon and the White House meet his demands to enforce certain provisions of the NDAA, including indefinite detention, he won't participate in voting on nominees and will do all he can to see the process grinds to a halt.

The Senator even put his ire to paper and sent off a letter to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta referring to a series of bullet-pointed NDAA grievances, one-by-one.

The list is filled with concerns over force assessment and budgetary priorities, but in the second to last bullet-point McCain lashes out directly at Obama for undermining the indefinite detention clause in the 2012 NDAA.

From McCain's letter to Panetta:

Following a lengthy and intense debate on provisions in the FY 2012 NDAA regarding detention in military custody of suspected terrorists, Congress and the Administration reached a bipartisan agreement that is reflected in Public Law 112-81 enacted on December 31, 2011. However, on February 28, 2012, the President issued a Presidential Policy Directive that effectively eviscerated major sections of that law, clearly contradicting the letter and spirit of the law.

McCain concludes his letter, drafted on Senate stationary from the Committee On Armed Forces, by saying he hopes his grievances are "simple misinterpretations of the law or inadvertent oversights, rather than willful disregard."

He looks forward to working with Panetta to resolve the matters.

First and foremost, there are 46.5 million Americans in the program as of the most recent information available (January 2012), comprising 22.2 million households. That’s 15% of the entire population, and just over 20% of all households.

To our thinking, it highlights an underappreciated new facet of American economic life – one that will be felt everywhere from the ballot box to the upcoming Federal Deficit debates.

I wouldn't say this is the voice of the people, only 15% of the population is on the program. This, like many welfare programs taken on their own, is a minority of the population using government (enabled by corrupted politicians) to steal from another minority of the population... ie those who actually earn enough to pay income and payroll taxes, about 25% of the population (I think it's lower than that, but in a quick google search I could only estimate based on the IRS and Tax Foundation summaries).

Of course, without the violence by the govt and the rest of us not thinking it is worth physical violence to resist, those 15% would not be able to steal from the 25%. The 15% are culpable, as are the govt officials involved on state and federal levels, and a few of the rest of us are their victims. The majority of the population is not even involved, with this particular program anyway. When you look at all govt welfare programs (including the Republicans favorite, the majority of military spending), everyone is a culprit and/or a victim (ie some are both).

Rest of us not thinking it is worth physical violence to resist or simply staying quiet so "our" voice is not heard? Or not caring?

Estimates are that less than 10% of the population fought in the Revolutionary War with a couple percent of those fighting for the British. I imagine the numbers would be substantially lower today. We are far more apt to fight each other than unite to fight anybody else.

How would we even unite? Under what banner?

For example, I would not unite under a banner that proponed violence against drug users or drug dealers, unless perhaps it was against the illegal public/private partnership of regulated pharma companies, and licensed pharmacies and doctors (who do far more harm by numbers than any non-legal drug).

Who do we unite against? The US Military and the thousands of federal, state, county, and city law enforcement agencies?

This is the superpower of democracy (as a general term to mean rule by supposed consent of the people... not as a contract to a republic, etc). It does not make government more just, and in fact we have far less liberty in certain ways than most people living in monarchies did throughout history. What it is EXCELLENT at is deceiving the people to think the govt folks are on their side and are there to protect them... in spite of feeding on them like a parasite and harming them and those they love on a daily basis.

Welcome to the glory and deception of modern democracies.

Good questions.

I certainly wouldn't unite with you in letting the drug users and dealers run around untouched. I also wouldn't unite with you against the military who work for the people nor against the government which was also created by the people through their respective representatives.

I would unite with you in going door to door teaching correct principles. I would unite with you in trying to educate my friends and neighbors about correct principles which involve morals and self imposed constraint.

Just to be clear: I never proposed going after military nor against government. I just asked if those are who you would go after. In fact, I hope it was clear that I never proposed any sort of violence or any violent solution (except perhaps non-cooperation, which they call violence, but which is not... ie in the way that wearing a bullet-proof vest is illegal because if you are shot by an LEO you and the bullet doesn't hurt or kill you then you are impeding justice; but wearing a bullet-proof vest or refusing to act is very different from shooting a gun or other similar action).

I don't know if any violent action with be morally justifiable, our system of government spreads activities around so much that everyone involved seems to think they are an innocent cog in a vile machine. Even if it were morally justifiable it would not be feasible and so not a wise course of action. Even if it were morally justifiable AND feasible, would be effective? Would it bring about a more limited and just government?

Please don't try to bait me, or even imply that I am or would support a violent solution. That is simply not true, and I never wrote or implied any such thing.

BTW, while I am not against and would not go against the US Military, I am not for it either. I think it has been a long time since the US Military has been used in a justified and moral way. If I could stop funding it without fearing violence against me, I would do so in protest of how something potentially good is being used for so much bad.

No I think you've made it fairly clear about your stance on violence. Yes the military is a tool but they still work for the people. If people really wanted something different then I believe it would be different.

Legion, where did you post info on gardening? I saw a post a while back on a man, in Alaska, growing large vegatables. Can't find it now.
