(CNN) - Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, whose endorsement has been highly-sought during the 2012 GOP primary contests, announced Wednesday he was backing presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

This makes the whole Bush family now doesn't it? :ymsick:

Wrinkle in the idea that Jeb Bush will be the nominee coming out of the GOP convention?

If there really is a plan to present Jeb Bush as an alternative to a stalemate with delegates at the republican convention, what a better way to soften up people to accept it than to have him endorse the guy who everyone wanted in the first place and to make it appear he has no presidential aspirations. Check out this little tidbit from the Washington Post...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the ... _blog.html

Regarding Jeb...

1. He’s a member of the most powerful family in the Republican party.
2. He spent eight years as the governor of Florida, a critical swing state with a large Hispanic population.
3. He’s seen as the closest thing the party has to an honest broker, a guy driven far more by policy concerns than political ones and a guy who always has his eye on what’s good for the party.

Didn't OI post a story about some prostitutes supporting Ron Paul? It seems a few RP supporters were a bit riled up over that one B-) .
Of course Bush & Co. endorse Romney, he's going to be the GOP winner. I bet RP supports Romney too when it's all said and done :-$

From the above link-
"They have structured the primaries in a way, that Romney will not have enough to win the nomination."

I think that's where they're wrong. Despite how hard the media tries to make the race seem closer than it is, Mitt is the clear winner and he'll by far have enough to win the nomination.

Just did some checking - Romney would have to win about half of the delegates left in the remaining 24 states to win the GOP nomination. Guess we'll see what happens. Also, just saw this while researching - see it and weep Bob (and you may as well replace Obama with Mitt - would be no difference except for maybe the always lies part)...

"There are probably 10 people right now who wake up and say what do I have to do to get in position to run for president or be president. Maybe more than that, and "I'm not one of them" Jeb Bush
Other people throw his name around for president but Jeb has yet to do so, he actually denies it. A guy like you who likes to stick with facts, I'm surprised you're buying into the hype.
Either Romney will be president or Obama will. I'm leaning a bit towards Romney but I flip flop on that point often. I agree with Genola's oldest citizens interpretation of how it might go down.

I dunno, I just see way too many things that Mitt Romney stands for that will get in the way of Ron Paul supporting him.

I can understand why you would think that. Have you guys not taken the time to tell RP how evil Mitt is?

Back in 2008, Ron Paul endorsed Chuck Baldwin, the Constitutionalist candidate, rather than giving his support towards John McCain. It mattered not that John McCain was nominated as the GOP candidate. Ron Paul follows values rather than staying loyal to party affiliation. I think more Americans need to learn by Ron Paul's example.
