Did you know that it is a commandment from Heavenly Father to be prepared?
(It's not just the Scout motto.) Who said so? The First Presidency in a "Message" to the Church https://lds.org/family/family-well-bein ... e?lang=eng" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Through the 31st Honeyville Grains (In Stores only UT, AZ, So. CA) has their red and white wheat on sale for $6.00 for 25 lbs. Compare that to $11.45 at the "Home Storage Center" and you will see what a GREAT price this is.

This was announced on their newsletter, so call ahead to make sure they will honor it at your location.
Also I priced #50 of rice and popcorn at Sam's this week for around $17. Costco has a similar price on rice but doesn't carry the great tasting/popping bulk popcorn.
The LDS Church Dry Pack Cannery (now known as the "Home Storage Center") has beans for around $16 for 25 lbs.

So $72 worth of grains and about $40 worth of beans will give you "bare bones" survival grains/beans for a year.
Put them in these containers (around 7-8) to have your years worth...
http://www.industrialcontainer.com/item ... tnum='P062'" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; $5.05 each
and store using the dry ice method...
http://providentliving.org/pfw/multimed ... v4_pdf.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and you have the very basics for possible survival that should store for 30+ years...preferably in a cool, dry place.
For additional food storage recommendations see providentliving.org under their three month supply of foods and recommendations for longer-term foods.

This does not apply to the Chandler, AZ store....they will give you a price of $7.99 per 25# bag until they run out of them. I was just there this morning. It is still better priced than the cannery and a smokin good deal....just didnt want anyone to be surprised.Chaz wrote:Through the 31st Honeyville Grains (In Stores only UT, AZ, So.
