This language was inserted to keep proponents and opponents of the bill appeased, while permitting the President to assert that the improper power he has claimed all along is now in statute,” writes Amash.

“They will say that American citizens are specifically exempted under the following language in Sec. 1032: “The requirement to detain a person in military custody under this section does not extend to citizens of the United States. Don’t be fooled. All this says is that the President is not REQUIRED to indefinitely detain American citizens without charge or trial. It still PERMITS him to do so,” warns the Congressman...

New Poll: Ron Paul Leads In Iowa, Gingrich Imploding - December 19th, 2011

A new survey conducted by Public Policy Polling shows that Ron Paul now leads in Iowa just two weeks ahead of the crucial Republican primary, while Newt Gingrich’s campaign is in free fall.

“Newt Gingrich’s campaign is rapidly imploding, and Ron Paul has now taken the lead in Iowa. He’s at 23% to 20% for Mitt Romney, 14% for Gingrich, 10% each for Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, and Rick Perry, 4% for Jon Huntsman, and 2% for Gary Johnson,” reports PPP.

Support for Gingrich has dropped from to 27% to 14% in just two weeks.

The figures illustrate how Gingrich is likely to fade into the distance before the crucial primary takes place on January 3rd. The numbers also show that Paul’s fiercest rival is clearly Romney, meaning all energies should be directed to pointing out that, like Gingrich, Romney is a big government RINO Republican who supported a system almost identical to Obamacare.

Paul’s supporters describe themselves as more “solidly committed” than Romney’s, at 73% to 68%.

Paul’s aggressive work in Iowa has impressed voters, with 22 per cent believing he’s run the best campaign in the state, compared to just 8% for Gingrich and 5% for Romney.

Gingrich’s decline in Iowa has undoubtedly been influenced by powerful Paul campaign ads attacking Gingrich over his big government tendencies.

“Negative ads over the last few weeks have really chipped away at Gingrich’s image as being a strong conservative- now only 36% of voters believe that he has ‘strong principles,’ while 43% think he does not,” reports Public Policy Polling.

Although Paul’s support nationwide is significantly lower than both Romney and Gingrich, a victory in Iowa and a good performance in New Hampshire would be the perfect tonic for Paul to build momentum in other states going forward.

Two out of the last three winners if the Iowa primary, George W. Bush and Bob Dole, have gone on to be victorious in securing the Republican nomination.

Right as Ron Paul’s campaign peaks and he sweeps into the lead in Iowa, the corporate media and establishment neo-con Republicans have gone all out in a final effort to denigrate his candidacy.

Prior to last week’s debate in Iowa, Fox News pundit Chris Wallace ludicrously asserted that if Ron Paul is successful in Iowa, the results “won’t count”.

This was preceded by attacks from neo-con talking heads like Rush Limbaugh, who erroneously claimed Ron Paul was the least likely to defeat Obama when he is in fact the most likely to beat Obama in a head to head above all the other Republican candidates.

The TSA has been responsible for over 9,000 unannounced “security checkpoints” over the last year alone, as the federal agency’s VIPR program expands to become a literal occupying army in the name of safety.

“The TSA’s 25 “viper” teams — for Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response — have run more than 9,300 unannounced checkpoints and other search operations in the last year. Department of Homeland Security officials have asked Congress for funding to add 12 more teams next year,” reports the L.A. Times.

The figure is completely independent from the federal agency’s role inside the nation’s airports, which costs taxpayers $5 billion a year, with the department having spent an additional $110 million in fiscal year 2011 for “surface transportation security,” while requesting a further $24 million for next year.

The extra money is being demanded despite the fact that there is “no proof that the roving viper teams have foiled any terrorist plots or thwarted any major threat to public safety,” according to the report, which also highlights how the TSA’s sniffer dogs are used to single out people for questioning if the dog smells the scent of the owner’s pets on their clothing.

The TSA is being used as a literal occupying army to ensure Americans who travel anywhere are constantly under the scrutiny of Big Brother, from highways, to train & bus stations, to NASCAR events, and even high school prom nights.

Back in October we reported on how Tennessee’s Homeland Security Commissioner announced that a raft of new “security checkpoints” would be in place over the Halloween period to “keep roadways safe for trick-or-treaters”.

Earlier that same month it was announced that Transportation Security Administration officials would be manning highway checkpoints in Tennessee targeting truck drivers.

After public outrage, the TSA attempted to neutralize the controversy by claiming that the inspections were carried out by State Troopers (the TSA agents were there to try to recruit truck drivers into becoming snitches for the ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaign), and that the checkpoints were merely temporary.

In reality, the program was the latest phase of the TSA’s rapidly expanding VIPR program, under which TSA agents have been deployed to shake down Americans at everywhere from bus depots, to ferry terminals, to train stations, in one instance conducting pat downs of passengers, including children, who had already completed their journey when arriving in Savannah.

Free societies do not subject their citizens to random “security checkpoints” at which federal goons are given carte blanche to abuse the public.

2012 will see a renewal of our efforts to push for the total abolition of this disgraceful agency and the shame it has brought upon America’s reputation as the so-called leader of the free world.

TSA Worker Caught Downloading Child Pornography - December 30th, 2011

Yet another TSA screener has been exposed as a pervert after police raided the Maryland home of 41-year-old TSA screener Scott Wilson and discovered videos and photos of child pornography contained on over two dozen different storage devices.

“A “forensic preview” of Wilson’s two computers (as well as various storage devices found in a locked safe) revealed a variety of videos and photos “depicting prepubescent females engaged in sexually explicit conduct with adults,” reports The Smoking Gun.

Wilson, who was responsible for screening cargo on commercial flights, has been freed on $250,000 bail after DHS officials found obscene images and videos on 31 separate storage devices. It is not known whether his TSA role included conducting pat downs of children, which the TSA asserts it has discontinued for under-12′s yet are still occurring on a regular basis.

Given the clear pattern of TSA workers being caught engaged in acts of criminality, with a particular emphasis on sexual harassment towards women and children, anecdotal evidence suggests that perverts are being attracted to work with the TSA because the role affords them the opportunity to grope, harass and intimidate the targets of their perversion.

Indeed, when a You Tube user called the TSA looking for a job while pretending to be a sexual deviant as a satire piece, he was treated seriously by a TSA staffer.

In March 2010, it emerged that TSA worker Sean Shanahan, who was employed at Boston Logan International Airport to pat down passengers, had been charged with multiple child sex crimes targeting an underage girl.

Similarly, 57-year-old Charles Henry Bennett, who worked at Orlando International Airport as a TSA screener, was arrested in November 2010 in connection with the molestation of a 6-year-old girl whom he planned to make his “sex slave”.

2011 has seen an explosion in cases of TSA criminality, including agents abusing their power to sexually harass women. Last month, 52-year-old TSA worker Harold Glen Rodman allegedly approached a woman in full uniform before flashing his badge and proceeding to brutally rape and sodomize her.

Earlier this year, a TSA agent in Connecticut was charged with harassment after he posed as a cop by flashing his badge at a woman in an attempt to intimidate her into driving faster.

With Congress having approved a massive increase in funding for the TSA’s VIPR program, which will see a further expansion of TSA checkpoints at bus depots, train stations, highways, sports events and numerous other public places, over 9300 of which have already taken place this year, we can expect more perverts hired for the job of shaking down Americans in 2012.

It remains to be seen whether anti-TSA lobbyists will be successful in eroding the power of the federal agency by pointing to a new FBI directive that defines penetration, “no matter how slight,” using any part of the body, as a rape offense.

President Obama quietly waited weeks to sign the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) legislation on New Year’s Eve after publicly threatening to veto the bill that, among other things, authorizes the indefinite detention of American citizens.

Obama’s signing statement tries to reassure observers that he wouldn’t use the “law” to detain citizens, but that is an illusion; his signing statement is meaningless, and the establishment occupying Washington have pulled a hoax on The People in violation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights to enslave them.

But you can’t legalize tyranny. One of the nation’s most well known legal precedents, Marbury vs. Madison, decided in 1803, makes clear that any “law” that is “repugnant to the Constitution is null and void.”

The blatant unconstitutional powers enacted in the legislature and executive branch is backfiring, however. This crowning act of tyranny is awakening people to the true intentions of Big Government in its takeover. The NDAA is so openly in violation of the American way, that Obama had to play lip-service to it in his signing statement language, even as he gave it the power of law.

Critics in the ACLU– by recognizing that Obama’s endorsement for NDAA will “damage both his legacy and American’s reputation for upholding the rule of law”– and the Human Rights Watch– in calling the bill’s passage a “historic tragedy for rights”– have abandoned their comfort zones and attacked the president from the left for crossing the Rubicon on rights, as they rightly should. Now is the time for more to join that call; for Americans of all stripes to speak out against so-called “laws” that enable the blatant political targeting of dissidents and declare a war against the citizens of this country.

Make no mistake, if we sit idly by and let this precedent become accepted– like the Patriot Act, with the appearance of law– more and more unconstitutional legislation will obviously take hold.

Iran Decides to Close Hormuz if Oil Exports Blocked

Ali Ashraf Nouri, a senior commander in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, told Khorasan daily on Sunday that the Iranian government has decided to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Persian Gulf if the country’s oil exports are blocked.

Also on Sunday, Iranian Army Commander Brigadier General Habibollah Sayyari said Iran can block the Strait of Hormuz “easily.”

The threat comes as the European Union prepares to embargo Iranian oil at the end of the month in response to Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons program.

It was reported last week EU foreign ministers will likely to agree to block Iranian oil imports at a meeting in Brussels on January 30. Working groups are negotiating the details of how the embargo will be imposed, said an official.

Following Nouri’s comments, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told CBS News that if Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz the U.S. military will respond.

“We made very clear that the United States will not tolerate the blocking of the Straits of Hormuz,” Panetta told CBS television. “That’s another red line for us and that we will respond to them.”

General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Iran has the ability to close the waterway. “But we would take action and reopen the Straits,” he warned...

In a forthcoming event dubbed “Ron Paul Is The Choice Of The Troops”, thousands of veterans and active duty military personnel are expected to march on the White House in support of the Texas Congressman’s presidential bid.

The event, to be held on President’s Day, February 20th, is being organized by activist group Veterans for Ron Paul 2012, co-founded by Adam Kokesh, Iraq war veteran turned activist and talk show host.

In a press release, Kokesh announced that the march will progress from the Washington Monument to the White House, where those taking part will salute a “folded American flag [...] for as many seconds as troops have died under the Presidency of Barrack Obama.”

“The purpose of this event is to make it clear to the American people that Ron Paul is the choice of the troops and the candidate who will have the greatest support from those he would lead as commander-in-chief.” writes Kokesh.

“This is already evidence by the fact that Ron Paul has received more campaign contributions from active duty service members than all other presidential candidates combined, INCLUDING Barrack Obama.”

This statistic was once again confirmed last week with figures showing Paul has collected $95,567 from individuals who listed their occupation as one of the branches of the US military or US Department of Defense.

The latest analysis from the Center for Responsive Politics updates previous figures to cover the period between January to September 2011, and will be further updated to include the fourth quarter after the candidates file their year-end reports on Jan. 31.

The mainstream media often glosses over or completely ignores these facts. Indeed, following Sunday’s debate in New Hampshire, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell touted John Huntsman’s military “credentials” after Huntsman noted that he had two sons actively serving in the Navy.

O’Donnell incorrectly stated that no other GOP candidate had served, completely ignoring the fact that Ron Paul served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1965 and then in the United States Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968.

When Ed Shultz attempted to correct O’Donnell by pointing out Paul had served his country, O’Donnell cut him off and ignored him.

Adam Kokesh notes that the organizers of next month’s march for Ron Paul will require proof of service from current or former military personnel who want to participate in the march. Family members will be invited to march behind the formation of service members, while supporters are encouraged to line the route to the White House.

Wednesday’s target was Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, killed in his vehicle in front of a university campus in east Tehran. A chemist by training, he was a deputy director at Iran’s main uranium enrichment plant at Natanz, a role given to him because of his expertise in gas separation technology, a technique vital to the enrichment process.

He was the fifth Iranian nuclear scientist to be targeted in the past two years and the fourth to die. The only survivor was the biggest prize of all. In November 2010, Fereydoun Abbasi, now the head of Iran’s atomic energy organisation was well trained enough to recognise what the clicking sound on the door of his car meant. He and his wife leapt clear just in time. That same day, on the other side of the Iranian capital, Majid Shahriari, one of Mr Abbasi’s colleagues, was less fortunate as he fell victim to another motorcycle assassin.

Iranian officials were quick to apportion blame on Wednesday for the latest attack, directing angry accusations at both the Israeli intelligence service Mossad and at the Americans...

This was also very enlightening, Dconrad000 -- and it could equally apply to efforts to bring forth freedom energy IMHO:

They were not interested and instead did everything in their power to suppress the information. It is also interesting to note that this occured with collusion of government authorities. This man had a number of terminal-cancer-cured-patients along with some of their doctors lined up to testify in court. They were never allowed to be heard. This man was not making a dime off of what he was doing. He was serving his fellow man freely and saving many, many lives...and he was systematically shut down.

And this is hopeful, and exemplary of how we may proceed despite well-entrenched opposition:

I concur with you Dr Jones that free-energy is another area toxic to the modern-day-secret-combination and their evil designs for us. After the cleansing of America when this country truly becomes free -- I do believe that in addition to hemp once again being grown in abundance, as in the days of our founding fathers (see above post) -- the people will be free to access all manner of techology such as is demonstrated in the following video. But in the mean-time, Dr Jones -- be very, very careful. Not only is the energy industry a multi-trillion dollar business for the modern-day-secret-combination -- but it is a very important mechanism through which a great deal of power and control is exerted over the people of the world.

That 1992 interview video is absolutely amazing and I would think would be in danger of being pulled, as have been other videos with information toxic to the powers-that-be. I recommend that any with an interest watch it while you are still able. It will also become apparent when you watch the interview why Stan Meyers was killed. Had he been allowed to live, the negative ramifications and repercussions to the modern-day-secret-combination could have been astronomically huge.

...The Enemy Expatriation Act is no different then the Nuremberg laws because they both took away natural citizenship of citizens due to meeting certain racial and political criteria that was considered a threat to the Nazi regime or in this case the establishment in America.

The suspension of rights and then citizenship is what happened in Nazi Germany. Be aware this is now happening here in the good ole United States.
