Are any LDSFF members interested in meeting together in the Phoenix, AZ area some evening?

Sweet! It's my families restaurant! Do you go often? I am bias, but I must say it's the best "real" Mexican food around.

I am a McCurdy. Matt is the name. I am Mexican, but McCurdy name is not. I am the gringo of the family. Only one in the family with blond hair. Just opened up a second restaurant. I think it's in Chandler.

Sweet! I will make the call in the morning. Not sure if you know this, but everyday (save Sunday) they feed 15-20 missionaries. Next time you go in there ask Big Rich why he feeds them everyday. It's a really cool story! It's a great family atmosphere. I am sure she will love it! Plus my family is great. I will let you know how it goes.

I see there has been interested expressed in meeting. Anyone have any suggestions as to where? It looks like most of us (so far) except Gad are on the east side. Also, what would be a good evening for everyone?

We live near Baseline & Extension in Mesa. Church responsibilities, honey-do list, grandkids, family support, tea party, JBS, Constitution Party and other similar activities keep me hopping, but I would like to meet with forum members local to the East Valley.

Anyone up for a last minute dinner at Costa Vida in Mesa tomorrow (Thurs) night around 6:30pm? We can watch Orion rise on the horizon and check out the supernova. Hmmm.... if so, we might need to have a way of telling who everyone is... I will be the one with the red rose inside the "How To Survive the End of the World as We Know It" book. :))

Just let me know if you are interested in meeting together for dinner. The next one will be more planned. Any suggestions for the next one and when? How about Oct. 6, 6:30 pm at .....

Bummer, because I am going to a Emergency Preparedness Workshop on raising chickens at 7pm.
Costa Vida is less than a mile from my house too. :( (the one in Dana Park on Val Vista and the 60)

Thursday, Sep. 22nd, 2011 @ 7pm
Topic: Backyard Chickens
Taught By: Michael Cluff

Why Raise Chickens?

· Easy and inexpensive to maintain (when compared to most other pets)
· Eggs that are fresh, great-tasting & nutritious
· Chemical-free bug and weed control
· Manufacture the worlds best fertilizer
· Fun & friendly pets with personality
· Great project for kids. Kids love chicks, gathering eggs and it is a wonderful learning experience for them.
· Great tasting meat free from chemicals and hormones.

Come to this workshop and find out more. Even if you think you can’t raise chickens now, come learn what you can do to make this happen in the future..,,Besides, you might be surprised.

Open To Everyone!

Invite your Friends, Family and Neighbors!
Come share your ideas or listen to others share theirs.
Bring questions, comments, information, tips, tricks
