Orrin Hatch Town Mtg. Tomorrow Wanship Questions Help

Post by dennis »

I plan on attending. You are all invited. Any ideas for Questions to ASk Senator Hatch???
S. Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, is scheduled to attend a town hall meeting in the Wanship area Friday at 6 p.m.
One of the meeting's organizers, North Summit resident Jacqueline Smith, said audience members will have time to ask the senator questions.

"I know there are a lot of people angry with the establishment that has been in Washington, whether they be Republican or Democrat. But [Hatch] is our senator for the next two years at least and I think we should do our best to put forward some positive direction for him rather than just make it a bash session," Smith said.

She said she hopes about 50 people attend the meeting. Editor's note: this is a new location than previously announced. The meeting is scheduled at the Wanship Fire Station, 2000 South Hoytsville Road.

"[Hatch] wants to come and speak to people and I thought that was pretty exciting," Smith said. "He wants to know what we want him to do. So he is listening and we're grateful for that. We want people to come with ideas that will be productive."

Smith said the senator was yelled at by many of his constituents at a town hall meeting several months ago in Orem.

"There were a lot of people very angry down there," she said. "I just want people to be respectful I realize there are a lot of people who have differing views and differing opinions, but I want this to be a productive meeting. I don't want this be just a big screaming match."

With the conservative Tea Party gaining momentum, Hatch could

face a tough re-election fight in 2012 from members of his own party.
"People are really going to push and what he does in the next two years will determine a lot," Smith said. "I've talked to Hatch personally about some of these things and I think he's aware that we're awake and that we're watching every minute now. I'm hopeful that he really wants to make some changes back there."

There is no charge to attend Friday's meeting and everyone is welcome.

"It doesn't matter to me if they are Democrat or not," Smith said. "All of these people are his constituents and they all fall under his governance."

Hatch spokesman Mark Eddington said the senator "has been doing town hall meetings all year."

"It's just part of his reaching out," Eddington said in a telephone interview. "He is obviously taking the pulse of Utahns and the town hall meetings are a good way to do that He enjoys the give and take."

Eddington said Hatch plans to campaign for another term in 2012.

"He just now entered into the re-election cycle," Eddington said. "He has wanted to increase his outreach and make himself accessible."

At UVU, a person asked Hatch about the federal reserve and printing money out of thin air. They requested that he answer this great concern to the country rather than avoiding it like all other times he did before.

Hatch responded by being offended by the accusation of avoiding questions. I was there, it really happened.

Give him one more chance. Say "Hatch, are you aware of the economic destruction the federal reserve is to our country?"

Hopefully 'yes' or 'no' should be easy enough for him.

I would love to see someone ask him: "Senator Hatch, what do you know about the collapse of Building 7on 9/11??" . And maybe whether or not he is in favor of a truly independent investigation of the events of 9/11, covering the anomalies, omissions, and inconsistent testimonies ignored by the other 'investigations'.

So many things one could ask him; mainly to see how he would wiggle out of giving an adequate answer.

The normal ploy by Sen. Hatch when questioned about some particularly egregious bill he may have voted for, is to claim the bill would have been far worse if he had not been on the spot to have the worst parts removed from it before the vote. He thereby claims he is doing some kind of a rear-guard action to stave off REAL disaster.

Of course the obvious ploy then for getting Hatch to vote on some bad bill, is to insert something really awful to tear out, so he can then comfortably support the rest of it. This is called the 'tiger bait' principle of ramrodding a contract or bill through to acceptance. Give Hatch a little Tiger Bait to chew on, and you can get him to do most anything.

I've heard Hatch talk about this on at least two different occassions; and he's been clueless about how this could be used to manipulate him. I've also mentioned this probably ad nauseum, but to me, this epitomizes how Hatch tries to play both sides of the fence.

I found this about Hatch:Orrin Hatch: “I’m no Bob Bennett.
Republican Senator Orrin Hatch sees fewer prospects for bipartisanship in the next Congress and says he’s more conservative than fellow Utah Senator Robert Bennett, who lost renomination to Tea Party opposition.

Hatch, who will be seeking a seventh term in 2012, said he’s reaching out to activists in the political movement and is more closely aligned with their views than Bennett was.

“I’m no Bob Bennett,” Hatch said in an interview on “Political Capital with Al Hunt” airing this weekend on Bloomberg Television. “I’m meeting with these folks, the Tea Party people and others, and I’m holding extensive town hall meetings.” Bennett lost his renomination bid in May during voting at a state Republican convention.

Hatch has had a mixed record on a economic issues, voting for nearly all of the spending bills brought before the Senate during President Barack Obama’s first two years, he also voted for TARP and he has sponsored almost a billion dollars in earmarks since 2008
So as members of the forum, are we supporting Hatch and wanting him to continue to represent us, or are we trying to exposes him as a supporter of the New World order? My view is , he wants to be reelected and is courting Tea Party people so he wont end up like Bennett. He is masquerading as a freedom fighter, but his true colors are for the gadiantons. A wolf in sheeps clothing. How could any one be chairman of the Senate Intelligence comittee and not know what the CIA is doing? The worst group of muderous thugs there are. Im looking for the perfect question to nail Hatch to the wall. Help

Hit on currency/monetary policy/federal reserve. So many angles to go at it... It's the most important issue of our day. As Lenin said, the centralization of credit is 90% of socializing a country. You take away gov't's monopoly on money/credit, you strip it of most of its power... then we'll only be a less than 10% socialist country. :) As Joseph Smith said, to protect the people, it's absolutely necessary to have a hard money system - not fiat currency. Follow the constitution!

Get him good!

Dennis, here are 3 that I would love to ask him:

1. I once wrote to you about the criminality, unconstitutionality and illegality of the ‘Federal Reserve’, a private banking cartel that profits from the spoils of the people, collects an unconstitutional individual income tax to pay interest on the money it prints for our use, de-values our money by printing whatever amount they want out of thin air and can stoke inflation or deflation whenever it chooses, to which you replied you saw nothing wrong with. Could you please elaborate on why you support the ‘Fed’?

2. Are you aware of the truth sir regarding the events of September 11, 2001, in which thousands of Scientists, Architects and Engineers have been able to confirm, using electron microscopy, that a high-tech, military-grade incendiary called nano-thermate destroyed via controlled demolition both world trade centers and building 7? Likewise, are you aware that over 60 Auditors and Accountants were killed at the Pentagon that day who were investigating $2.3 TRILLION dollars that could not be accounted for by the Dept. of Defense?

3. I once wrote to you about the TRILLION dollar bail-outs for the big banks and Wall Street at taxpayer expense thanks to Washington and the ‘Federal Reserve’, expressing my outrage and asking for your support in an audit of the Federal Reserve by Ron Paul, to which you replied in the negative. Could you please elaborate why you think an unconstitutional and criminal private bank like the ‘Federal Reserve’ should be able to do whatever it wishes with our monetary system while being held accountable to no one?

These alone are enough to have him removed from office. Wait a second though... he has supported all of the spending bills pushed through under Obama when they are already bankrupt many times over? Yep... the answer was to vote the republicans back into power... they'll fix Obama and his goons!

But he was able to dodge the real question right? Yea, its a nice trick they use to keep the talking points to thier pre-determinded message, and to turn their from big bad guy to victum. I watched Rep. Matheson do the same thing last spring in a Q&A.

Matheson spun a good tale of him being a small time Utah guy, trying to exist in big bad Washington. Then he comes home to Utah where he is attacked and charged by people who are really mad at washington but NOT him. He won't stand for those unfounded accusations!!!

One simple direct question, don't give him an easy out.

The real solution to this is to have 4 or 5 people inline right after another that will follow-up with the same question if he fails to answer it. If he does finally answer, they can all sit down.

That would be really funny to see a group of people in a line there just to make sure he answers the question. What would be sad is if he deflected the question each time.
