Who is John Hall?
John F. Hall is Professor of Classical Languages and Ancient History at Brigham Young University. He earned a BA in Latin and Greek from Brigham Young University, and an MA (in ancient history) and PhD (in ancient history: Roman history, Greek history, and Greek and Latin prose literature) both from the University of Pennsylvania. Hall is a past president of the Classical Association of the Middle West and South. His research interests are ancient religions (Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan, Roman, Early Christian, Gnosticism), Greek New Testament studies, and Roman history (Early Rome, Augustan Rome, Era of Diocletian and Constantine). His teaching specialties are ancient religions, Greek New Testament, early Christian studies, ancient Greek and Latin language, Greek and Latin historiography, and Roman history.
