Trump isn’t nominating C-level cabinet members! They’re A-level dismantlers: he’s nominating cabinet members whose task will be to gut the departments they oversee.
Trump doesn’t want to do government as usual. Trump wants to burn the whole thing down so business can run amok all over Americans.
Look at just a few of his choices:
...
Betsy DeVos - Department of Education: A sobering look at what Betsy DeVos did to education in Michigan — and what she might do as secretary of education This is a woman who might well leave the Department of Education a shell of its former self, a department in name only, that presides over nothing less than the dismantling of public education in the US.
Scott Pruitt - Environmental Protection Agency: Trump names Scott Pruitt, Oklahoma attorney general suing EPA on climate change, to head the EPA The EPA has the word protection in its name, but Mr. Pruitt is essentially interested in denying the greatest threat to the environment since the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs, considering it as a hoax, a fallacy, and an impediment to American business.
Rex Tillerson - State Department: Trump picks Tillerson for secretary of state The State Department is tasked with maintaining diplomatic relationships with the countries of the world. It’s usually headed by someone who has been in government for decades and who has worked with foreign leaders in that capacity for some time. Colin Powell, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton - you know, people who know how government works. You have to know how government works to do this job well, because your job is to understand how your government and a foreign government mesh. So Rex Tillerson, CEO of Exxon, is a choice that can only be read as “Business is more important than relationships with the rest of the world.”

If the Trump administration gets these picks confirmed (likely in most cases), there’s a good chance that these and other departments are gutted by the time Trump’s successor takes the reigns. Decades of work by Democrats and Republicans alike could be undone by this buffoon. Think about it: Reagan (Republican) used the State Department to bring down the USSR and end the Cold War. The EPA was instituted by Nixon (Republican) and has single-handedly kept species from extinction and protected America’s wilderness areas. And the department of education first became a cabinet-level department under Eisenhower (Republican) in 1953 (with health and welfare) and was further elevated to an independent entity by Carter (Democrat). This department has promoted educational goals for Republicans and Democrats alike for decades.
Crippling your own government is the height of stupidity, but then we should expect nothing less from
Trump.
The Department of Education needs to be dismantled; at least to the level of just serving in an impartial advisory capacity, where it is divested of government-driven politically tainted agendas and requirements.

This person is also confused about the origins of the Department of Education, which was voted and signed into law under Jimmy Carter in 1979, Sen. Orrin Hatch being one of those approving it, despite denying he did in a town hall meeting in Bountiful about 4-5 years ago.

And global warming? A highly politicized agenda designed to increase higher-level control; with the carbon tax being one of the abuses. Of course, Al Gore doesn't think so.
