Chris Christie, don't want him for President!

Post by Bee Prepared »

December 2, 2014 New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced a pair of unusual appointments on Tuesday, adding two prominent Democrats to the governing body of Rutgers University, including a former chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Christie added both Susan McCue, Reid's former top aide, and Mark Angelson, a former deputy mayor in Chicago under Mayor Rahm Emanuel, to the Rutgers Board of Governors. Neither of them currently lives in New Jersey; both are graduates of the university.

The McCue appointment is particularly intriguing as she worked for a super PAC that spent millions to try to keep New Jersey's Legislature in Democratic hands in 2013, the same year that Christie won reelection. She was also the cochair of Senate Majority PAC, the main super PAC that fought unsuccessfully to keep Reid as majority leader, and she sits on the board of American Bridge 21st Century, a Democratic research firm that has targeted Christie.

Christie is openly considering a run for the White House in 2016 but faces concerns from the Republican base both for some of his policy positions and for his embrace of President Obama days before the 2012 election during Superstorm Sandy.

Both nominations must still be confirmed by the New Jersey state Senate.

Thanks for the info Bee Prepared.

Here is some more LDG info on Chris:

1. Chris support warrantless federal surveillance programs. He wants Big Brother to keep an eye on all of us even though this is against the 4th amendment. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/07/r ... 94851.html

2. Chris is a big government, hawkish republican. He believes there is a “strain of libertarianism” within both parties that is a “very dangerous thought." His statements were targeted at the Tea Party Republicans and the Anti-war Democrats. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/07/r ... 94851.html

I admired Chris Christie until his Tony Soprano style was exposed. I think he's toast now.

So you and the Republican base don't care about the bridge scandal and the pension scandal? I think the way he is willing to screw over people in his own state for gain is the biggest reason not to want him for president.
